Additional information
This is a cutting-edge precision treatment technology for relapsed/refractory hematologic malignancies offered by the Hematologic Oncology Center. In addition to conventional PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitors, the center excels in CAR-T cell therapy. The patient's own T lymphocytes are collected and genetically engineered in the laboratory to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), enabling them to specifically recognize and attack tumor cells. After expansion, the CAR-T cells are reinfused into the patient, triggering a powerful anti-tumor immune response. The Tongji team has extensive experience in the full-cycle management of CAR-T therapy, including early precise screening, personalized "CAR-T+X" combination strategies, and close monitoring and management of severe toxicities such as cytokine release syndrome (CRS).
What surgical procedures are included? Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) collection (leukapheresis using a blood cell separator), CAR-T cell reinfusion.
What diagnostic procedures are included? Flow cytometry minimal residual disease (MRD) detection (for efficacy assessment), CAR-T cell expansion kinetics monitoring, contrast-enhanced brain MRI (for neurotoxicity prevention), whole-body imaging evaluation.
Are there any implants? No.
