NanoKnife, also known as irreversible electroporation (IRE), is a minimally invasive procedure that uses short electrical pulses to destroy targeted tumor cells while minimizing thermal damage to surrounding tissue.
It may be considered for selected patients with pancreatic tumors, including some tumors located close to important blood vessels where conventional surgery may not be suitable.
The doctor will review the patient's imaging and medical history to determine whether NanoKnife is an appropriate treatment option.
