Treatment Details
Radioiodine therapy with Iodine-131 (I-131) is a specialized treatment used for selected thyroid conditions, including differentiated thyroid cancer and certain cases of hyperthyroidism. The treatment plan and required radioiodine dose are individually determined by the nuclear medicine specialist based on the patient's diagnosis, medical history, laboratory results, imaging, and previous treatments.

Hospitalization
The patient will stay in a specialized radiation-protected room under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine team. The length of hospitalization is generally 1 to 3 nights, depending on the prescribed I-131 dose, radiation measurements, and the patient's individual clinical condition.
