I underwent open appendix surgery at Clínica Brugal under the care of Dr. Arisel Dominguez. As a crew member, I was completely alone throughout the entire process and being in a foreign country made the situation even more difficult. However, from the moment I was admitted until my discharge, Dr. Arisel Dominguez and the entire medical team took exceptional care of me and made sure I felt safe, supported, and well looked after.

Even after my discharge, the doctor continued to follow up with me through consultation and made sure I had recovered properly and was fit to fly back home.

I can honestly say that Clínica Brugal is one of the best hospitals in the Dominican Republic, with excellent healthcare facilities, professional staff, and outstanding service.

A very special thanks to Dr. Arisel Dominguez for her dedication, care, and support throughout my treatment and recovery. I am truly grateful for everything she and the entire team did for me during a difficult time.

I'm canadian, wife is Dominican, she had a surgery here. Coming from Canada this was 10x better experience, surgen was great, they came to our "hotel like" room about every 20 minutes 24 hours a day for 2.5 days. They booked and completed withing a week + a few days we had to do prep work. I'm disgusted that care in canada would have taken 1.5 years to get a surgery date. If I need a hospital I would come here, glad I did for my wife. Other foreigners complain they do not speak English, thats absurd because you are the foreigners not them, what do you expect coming to a foreign country.

A small but well-organized clinic, near downtown Puerto Plata and the boardwalk.

They have doctors in all areas: gynecologists, gastroenterologists, obstetricians, cardiologists, nephrologists, allergists,

The areas are kept very clean and clearly signposted, and the emergency staff attends quickly. They also have their laboratory and medical imaging area right there within the center.

My favorite is Dr. Julio César Martes in gynecology—very human and easy to talk to.

I’m not entirely sure if they have staff who speak English inside the clinic, but that would be a plus now that the new cruise port will open so close to the historic downtown.

Ahh, I almost forgot to mention that they accept all kinds of medical insurance and they attend quickly.

They also have a cafeteria inside.
