Global Health Hair is a hair restoration clinic in Istanbul's Şişli district. The team specializes in Sapphire FUE and DHI no-shave techniques. Every procedure is performed by a licensed doctor, not a technician. Dr. Merdan Çelik founded the clinic in 1997. He earned his medical degree from Trakya University and is certified in Aesthetic Medicine. Over 22 years, he has treated more than 20,000 patients.

Hair Restoration Specialties

The clinic focuses on surgical hair transplantation for patients from Spain and the UK. To keep a focused schedule, the team takes only three patients per day. This means the lead surgeon is involved from consultation through the entire procedure.

The team uses two main techniques:

Sapphire FUE – sapphire blades create precise micro-channels for dense results.
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) – a specialized tool allows no-shave options for suitable patients.

Dr. Merdan Celik leads the surgical team with over 20 years of experience. He has operated on more than 20,000 patients since 1997. He earned his medical degree at Trakya University and completed advanced FUE training through the ISHRS.

Keloid Risk Management and Specialized Protocols

Global Health Hair has a structured protocol for patients prone to keloid scars (enlarged, raised scars). The team identifies risks through clinical history and Fitzpatrick skin type evaluation. When needed, the doctor performs a micro-graft test in a discreet donor area first.

If a keloid develops after transplant, treatment includes corticosteroid injections and silicone gel or sheets. Strict follow-up and light compression help manage healing for high-risk cases.

Technology and Diagnostic Tools

The clinic uses Sapphire blades during FUE extractions. These blades are sharper and more durable than steel. They cause less tissue trauma, so patients often heal faster with less inflammation. For no-shave procedures, DHI pens place grafts directly without prior incisions.

This is the second time I’ve had a hair implant at Healthandhairs, and the results were surprising in the first operation. Ms. Houry is always very attentive and concerned about the well-being of her clients. Not to mention that even after the operation she always asks if you’re taking the medication correctly and washing it properly. And you can’t wear a hat at the beginning, you can’t drink alcohol, you can’t smoke for 1 month, and you shouldn’t even have sex—thankfully it’s only for 10 days, hahaha.
