Overall Experience Overall, my experience has been below expectations. I’ve outlined this in two parts: my experience with Bookimed and the medical service itself. ⸻ Bookimed Bookimed is helpful for making initial contact and arranging appointments. However, it operates mainly as an intermediary, and the focus appears to be on securing bookings rather than ensuring all information is fully accurate. In my case, some of the advertised details were misleading. For example, the package included a “5-star hotel”, but the accommodation provided was more of a modest boutique hotel with a very small bathroom, which was not ideal for post-surgery recovery. I was also initially advised that I would need a ligament release alongside the implant. However, during my consultation, the doctor explained that this was not necessary and generally not recommended due to potential impact on erections. By that point, I had already been quoted for both procedures. Recommendation: It’s worth arranging a direct video consultation with the medical team beforehand and preparing a clear list of questions to avoid any misunderstandings. ⸻ Procedure and Medical Experience The doctor was professional and competent, 5 stars for him but the overall process had several challenges. My original procedure (Peniflex) was cancelled and replaced with a recommendation for a newer product (Himplant). This required me to rearrange flights and time off work, resulting in additional costs. The doctor did offer the upgraded implant at a reduced price in recognition of the inconvenience. Payment arrangements were also difficult. I was asked to pay largely in cash (around $12,000), which is not practical for most people. This meant incurring significant currency exchange fees in Turkey, with only part of the payment accepted by card. I would strongly advise confirming payment options in advance, particularly if you intend to use a credit card. ⸻ Accommodation and Hospital The hotel did not meet the advertised standard and was located some distance from the hospital, which added inconvenience. At the hospital, most staff did not speak English, which made communication challenging—especially after surgery. It would be sensible to bring all necessary aftercare items, supplements, and essential food supplies with you in advance. ⸻ Aftercare Aftercare support was limited. Following the procedure, I was discharged with a catheter to drain fluids but was expected to manage cleaning and care independently. There was a lack of regular follow-up or proactive support from the medical team. ⸻ Results (Himplant) The procedure itself was completed successfully; however, the results have not fully met my expectations, particularly from an aesthetic perspective. Four months post-surgery: * The implant appears to fold slightly on one side and can look as though it is protruding. * It is more noticeable than I was led to expect, especially near the head. * It feels quite firm, even in a flaccid state, which does not feel entirely natural. * There is still some sensitivity and mild discomfort. * The base of the implant feels uneven, with one side more noticeable than the other. Recovery also takes time, and normal intimacy may not be possible for several months (potentially over six), so this is something to plan for. ⸻ Conclusion At this stage, I am still considering whether to keep the implant and will make a final decision after six months. With the benefit of hindsight, I may have explored alternative options such as filler and ligament release instead. This is my personal experience and may not reflect everyone’s outcome, but I hope it provides useful insight for anyone currently considering this procedure.

What worried me most was how the final length would turn out, but the result is already better than expected. The team was faultless. My incision for the 3-piece Rigicon implant is healing cleanly, though the most difficult part of recovery has been just trying to sit comfortably. The clinic facility itself is why I gave a lower rating; it’s functional but feels dated. This did not detract from the quality of the medical attention, however. Based on the care from the staff and the surgeon, I would direct others here.
