The doctor is the Head of the Hematology Department at Hadassah Medical Center and a professor specializing in molecular diagnostics of hematological diseases, malignant blood diseases, bone marrow transplant, gene therapy, and immunology. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the doctor completed postgraduate studies at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In 2017, the doctor became the first woman to serve as Dean of Hadassah School of Medicine. The doctor is a member of several professional societies, including the Israel Society of Hematology and the International Society of Hemato-Oncology.
The doctor is a leading specialist in cardiac surgery, with over 20 years of experience and more than ten thousand successful operations. Specializing in corrections and prosthetic heart valves, reconstructive operations on coronary arteries, and open-heart surgery, the doctor is highly regarded in the field.
Graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the doctor completed a residency at the Hadassah Medical Center. The doctor has also worked at Harvard University Medical Center and various US medical centers, and has led the Department of Cardiac Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital and Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
