Verified review.
The person who was given the appointment was given the wrong one and I traveled 5 hours because of this mistake and paid 157 euros and I was not examined medically because the appointment was given the wrong one and they told me that I should have 5 more days to request a refund I actually made the request and I haven't received the money back yet. It was a very bad experience and I hope it doesn't happen again.
Unfortunately, I did not like anything. They were negligent in everything. They did not have time to inquire. They talked to you with an upset face
My appointment was not scheduled correctly because of the person I made the appointment with.

FAQ about Penis botox in Italy

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is penile botox used for and how does it work?

Penile Botox is a non-surgical treatment using botulinum toxin to relax smooth penile muscles. It improves blood flow for erectile dysfunction and addresses Peyronie’s disease curvature. This procedure increases flaccid length and manages retraction by inhibiting norepinephrine release within erectile tissues.

  • Erectile function: Promotes vasodilation to achieve and maintain firmer, longer-lasting erections.
  • Peyronie treatment: Relaxes contractile plaque fibers to reduce penile curvature and discomfort.
  • Cosmetic effect: Prevents tissue retraction due to cold or anxiety, increasing flaccid girth.
  • Recovery timeline: Patients typically return to activity within 1 to 4 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Italian research hospitals like San Raffaele specialize in advanced urological protocols. Data shows specialized clinics often combine Botox with traction therapy for Peyronie's disease. This combination enhances tissue stretching more effectively than Botox injections alone.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find the procedure helpful for mild curvature or anxiety-related retraction. They recommend ultrasound assessment of plaques before treatment to ensure the best results.

What side effects or safety concerns should I be aware of?

Penis botox in Italy is generally safe when performed by board-certified urologists. Patients should expect temporary localized side effects including mild bruising, swelling, and sensitivity at injection sites. Serious complications are rare, but potential risks include temporary asymmetry or short-term erectile changes due to post-procedure inflammation.

  • Localized swelling: Minor edema usually resolves naturally within 1 to 2 weeks post-injection.
  • Injection lumps: Temporary hard nodules may form but typically resolve within 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Activity restrictions: Patients should avoid sexual activity for 3 to 4 weeks after treatment.
  • Vascular safety: Expert administration minimizes risk of hematoma or unintended diffusion into surrounding tissues.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Italian research hospitals like San Raffaele maintain high safety standards through IRCCS designations. Data shows that prioritizing clinics with specialized urology departments over aesthetic-only centers ensures better outcomes. Patients should verify surgeons through the Italian Urology Society (SICU) to ensure clinical expertise.

Patient Consensus: Most patients report manageable bruising but emphasize the importance of starting with conservative doses. Many found that regular massage helped smooth out temporary lumps and improved the final aesthetic result.

How long do the results last?

Penis botox results in Italy typically last between 4 and 9 months. Most patients experience peak therapeutic effects within 2 to 4 weeks. The treatment is temporary by design. Muscles gradually regain activity as the neurotoxin naturally breaks down over several months.

  • Average duration: Most clinical results cluster around the 6-month mark before fading.
  • Peak timeline: Maximum results usually become visible between 14 and 28 days post-injection.
  • Maintenance schedule: Urologists generally recommend repeat sessions every 6 months to sustain benefits.
  • Variable longevity: Metabolic rates and dosage specifics can extend effects up to 12 months.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinical data from high-volume centers like San Raffaele in Milan shows a pattern. Experienced urologists often adjust dosage based on individual anatomy to prevent rapid fading. Since this hospital performs 52,000 operations annually, their specialized urology protocols offer more predictable timelines than general aesthetic clinics. Always confirm the specific toxin brand during your consultation to refine your expectations.

Patient Consensus: Patients report that effects disappear gradually rather than all at once. Many suggest tracking progress with weekly photos to identify exactly when a touch-up becomes necessary.

How long does the injection take and what is the recovery time?

Penis botox injections in Italy typically take 5 to 15 minutes to perform following local numbing. Most patients resume normal daily activities immediately. Full recovery from minor swelling and tenderness generally occurs within 1 week after the procedure at specialized Italian clinics.

  • Procedure duration: The actual injection process lasts between 5 and 15 minutes.
  • Hospital stay: This is a walk-in procedure requiring no overnight hospital stay.
  • Immediate recovery: Patients can typically return to work or daily routines the same day.
  • Symptom resolution: Swelling or bruising usually peaks at 2 to 3 days post-injection.
  • Activity restrictions: Restrict sexual activity and high-intensity exercise for 1 to 3 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Italian research hospitals like San Raffaele in Milan perform over 52,000 surgeries annually. Their high volume suggests superior proficiency in managing precise urological injections. Data indicates that clinics in Italy often schedule a 1-week follow-up. This ensures the 3 to 6 month effects are settling correctly without complications.

Patient Consensus: Recent reports suggest erections may feel slightly sore for 24 to 48 hours. Patients recommend icing the area and arranging a ride home due to the local numbing.

Where in Italy is the treatment available?

Penis botox is available in Italy through specialized urology departments and research hospitals located in major medical hubs. Milan is the primary destination for this procedure. Leading institutions like San Raffaele Hospital offer expert urological care within accredited facilities known for advanced surgical research.

  • Regional center: Milan is Italy's main hub for advanced surgery and urological research.
  • Clinical excellence: San Raffaele Hospital holds IRCCS accreditation for combining clinical care with research.
  • Specialist focus: Procedures are often performed by urologists specializing in reconstructive or functional health.
  • Facility standards: Centers of excellence are recognized in The World's Best Hospitals 2021 rankings.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Milan dominates the Italian landscape for specialized urology because of its IRCCS-designated research hospitals. San Raffaele alone handles 52,000 operations annually. This volume creates a concentrated pool of expertise that general clinics elsewhere in Italy simply cannot match.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend targeting urologists through Italian Urology Association directories to verify credentials. Many suggest budgeting for multiple sessions and prioritizing specialists who treat Peyronie's disease for the best results.
