I was so impressed by the results.
If you're considering this, here is my honest take on the experience so far. My surgeon did excellent work on my extended tummy tuck with lipo and muscle repair; he was present during recovery checks and clearly explained the scar placement. I’m feeling better than expected early on. The financial aspect was a major factor. If I had the same procedure done in the US, I would have spent close to $20k. I spent a fraction of that in Istanbul and I was so impressed by the results. All transfers were provided and there were no additional expenses.
However, be aware that some staff speak little English, and I frequently smelled cigarette smoke in the corridor. I also had to do my own online research for post-op directions. My coordinating physician did reach out while I was in the hospital and back at the hotel. My advice: only travel alone if you are very strong emotionally and physically, as it was a challenging experience. It felt like another c-section! Pack a good hospital bag with a phone charger and universal adaptor, toiletries, books, and a neck pillow.

The clinic staff on WhatsApp felt a bit robotic in their texts, but they were friendly in person, so I think it was just a language barrier. The clinic itself was clean and the staff were caring. My surgeon was very clear; he explained which areas of my thighs would be used for liposuction and what to expect for the fat survival rate, with up to 200 cc transferred per breast. Knowing I had to travel, he also checked on my recovery timeline. The clinic provided a clear aftercare guide and has been easy to reach. The final price was exactly as quoted, with no additional expenses.

My surgeon, Dr. Burğa, is exactly what a patient could wish for in a doctor: honest, helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He was upfront about recovery and took the time to show me the malleable implant and explain the sizing options before the procedure.
The booking with Bookimed was a good choice; they take care of everything. While communication could sometimes be a bit difficult because of the translation, it was always possible to ask again for clarity. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what was agreed. I am still in early recovery but feel very well looked after.

I feel better than expected.
My biggest fear was the language barrier in another country, but everyone made me feel comfortable and heard. From the coordinators to my doctor, the treatment was professional and humane. My main piece of advice would be to prepare well for your consultation. I would suggest asking for more time with the doctor before surgery and to bring pictures of what you’d like done specifically to make sure you're aligned.

The entire process has been so positive. I had a tummy tuck, breast procedure, and liposuction on two areas. The clinic staff has been great about staying in touch and are always easy to reach, which is reassuring. There were no surprise costs; the only extra was for optional lymph massages, which was explained from the beginning. My advice is to really research the recovery period. My biggest concern was the scarring from a full, hip-to-hip tummy tuck. My surgeon addressed this directly, explaining exactly where the scars would be and marking my body so carefully before the procedure, which really put me at ease. I also had liposuction on my abdomen and flanks, and honestly, I'm feeling better than expected. My biggest worry beforehand was about scarring and the recovery process. I'm relieved to say my incisions are already well-hidden behind my ears. The surgeon performed a deep plane lift, and the result so far is a jawline with noticeable new definition. My neck feels comfortably snug, not painfully tight. The hardest part of recovery has been sleeping elevated, which is to be expected but still challenging. Overall, the process with the clinic and staff was very straightforward. My one tip for others would be to prepare your kitchen in advance: get soft foods and melons, fresh fruits or steam-able vegetables like carrots. You'll want to take small bites at first.

I was hesitant at the beginning because I didn’t want what to expect. That changed since the min I landed. I had a wonderful experience and everything went smooth. From and to the airport to the hospital, the amenities and staff were all exceptional, just as described upon booking. They met and exceeded my expectations .
