Dr. Almog Ben-Yaacov is a highly experienced surgeon specializing in general and oncological surgery. He graduated with honors from Semmelweis University Medical School in 2006. Following graduation, he completed two years of training in cardiac surgery, after which he continued with six additional years of advanced training in general surgery.

He currently serves as a senior surgeon at Sheba Medical Center. His clinical focus includes cytoreductive surgery combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS + HIPEC), as well as the management of gastric cancer, sarcoma, and complex colorectal malignancies. Since 2018, Dr. Ben-Yaacov has performed over 200 HIPEC procedures.

Advanced Training

Dr. Ben-Yaacov has completed multiple specialized international training programs, including:

ESSO-certified HIPEC surgery course in Hamburg, Germany

Microwave liver ablation training in Reims, France

NanoKnife (irreversible electroporation) training at King’s College, London

In 2019, he further expanded his expertise through advanced surgical oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.
