My main concern was choosing a clinic, as it's hard to compare them from afar. The process was very good. My Bookimed coordinator had quick replies and stayed in touch, which was reassuring. The surgeon was amazing, would definitely recommend; my three stitches were very small and neat, and I hardly had any post surgery pain, it was very minimal. I'm still feeling the fatigue from healing and am at about 50% capacity. The only real issue was that my post-surgery documents were not translated into English. Despite this, I am satisfied with the medical care I received.

Looking in the mirror two weeks later is still quite jarring. I expected a quicker turnaround, but at 15 days post-op, there is simply too much swelling to tell how my eyes actually look when I smile. My surgeon performed a traditional incision on my upper eyelids, and the cut lines remain very red and obvious against my skin. While the medical staff were generally helpful, the clinic environment itself didn't quite meet the standard I anticipated for the price. Recovery is slow. It is difficult to stay objective when the results are hidden under such heavy inflammation. I would advise others to brace for the fact that the early recovery phase feels much longer than the brochures suggest.
