Make sure your very clear on needs and expectations. Or they will nickel and dime you. Even though rides to and from border are included they will try to make to find your own way. After your surgery, no before, Will offer you a ride option across border but then later charge you for it. Also charged separately for bandaging materials used after surgery !!?!? if you dont pay you are sent away with nothing. (No they dont bandage you up unless you pay extra after the surgery). Beware of carlo he is not a point of contact only marketing manager and has no place in your medical conversations or booking, he only convoluted things between the dr and the real point of contact making for a frustrating and less then enjoyable experience.

My medical team with carlos was great. I couldn't ask for any better. From start to finish, he was always available. He speaks perfect English. He checked on me daily. The price quotes did not change. Dr aylana is very knowledgeable in his field. In the consultation he asked me what my expectations were. He didn't try to talk me into any procedures I didn't need. He was honest about what he could do. Having medical procedures abroad is different from the US. It is still safe for fraction of the price.

Language barrier between nurses and patients. I did not like the faja that was recommended. Do not buy in tiajuana. Buy from Amazon. It's cheaper and fit better.

I wish I would have brought my own thermometer and blood pressure cuff. This way you can keep up with your vitals after surgery. Brought chux pads from the US.

I really have to thank the people at the Hospital de la Familia. I went there for a septoplasty - I am already healing really well, breathing freely through a new nose like I never could before. The surgery was minimally invasive - the doctors, nurses, drivers, were all friendly, patient, and considerate. My girlfriend and I loved our stay in Mexicali. Thank you again to the whole team who took care of me while I was down there.

I like the environment and how everything was set up. I think you should have more instructions on how to care for yourself. I think you should have a care package while you are there to take care of yourself, too.
The staff was nice
I didn't like that they stuck me 5 times to put a iv in.

The staff were UNBELIEVABLY kind! I felt I was well listened to, my needs were met, and my results are far and beyond my wildest expectations. If I decide to have more plastic surgery, I will, without hesitation come back here.
How I was listened to and cared for and Dr. Ayala's warm, affable nature.
There were some bumps in terms of communication initially that was frustrating, but we got over that quickly and it stopped being an issue

The staff and doctors were extremely knowledgeable and and very supportive to all of my care needs. Everyone was very personable and caring and consistent at every turn. I felt safe and confident. Even more so than when n the states.
I liked how Dr Navarro came in and administered my tests himself. That never happens in the states.
I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say.

the service and all of them were very kind to me and very attentive ... the recovery room was very spacious and very spacious. Definitely yes. I am very satisfied with the whole process from the beginning to the end .. your attention from the case manager Carlo as well as his assistant Maritza. Always very friendly and very attentive in everything. Especially for their personal attention that they had with me and with others since I was the first one who picked up the first day of three on the same day I arrived and they picked me up with my son first and from San Diego they personally transported us to my Spanish-speaking and another Hispanic and third to an African American who was also very happy in what I could see. They transported us to mexicali in their own car and they hosted me and my son in a classic hotel one night before my surgery and they kept us checking and driving around and they were very wonderful not only with me but with my son, much more wue nothing too .. I in particular in my own experience was very happy and satisfied not only with your care but also with the results from the first moment to the next day of my surgery when I saw myself for the first time .. I still do not stop to be able to show my family and friends the wonder they did me and more than anything my results that were much better than I expected. Definitely, it is already a thousand times better than even my friends have noticed my happiness and change just by talking to me by phone. My change was definitely more than I expected and I do recommend it. They are easy to please you in almost everything and they are very economical and the best in Mexicali .. thanks to all the hospital staff, the family and their case managers Carlo and Maritza and their assistants and the entire plastic surgery team of Dr. Marco Sariñana. I will definitely return a second time with them very soon !!
