Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital: Patients Reviews and Experience

What I liked most was the medical expertise, honesty, transparency, and friendliness of Dr. Mehmet Melih Cicek. I came into the consultation with a relatively clear idea about my nose, and Dr. Cicek took a lot of time to examine my nose in advance to see what was possible with my nasal structure and what was not. He then directly and realistically informed me about what he could change about my nose and what (probably) could not be changed. It was a purely aesthetic surgery, and he placed great importance on the functionality of my nose, not just its appearance, which speaks highly of him as a doctor. It has been two weeks since my surgery, and I am already more than happy with the result! I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Cicek! The German-speaking translator Songül was also very nice and helpful and always available. She accompanied me to all appointments with Dr. Cicek, which was a great help and took care of everything. The hospital stay was very good, the room was very large, clean, and modern. The nurses were nice and took good care of me after the surgery. The transfer service from the airport to the hotel and back, as well as from the hotel to the hospital, was also very good. My medical coordinator Yeva from Bookimed, with whom I was in contact from the beginning via WhatsApp, was very friendly and helpful and guided me well through the entire process. Additionally, he is always available, and I receive quick responses from him even after the surgery.

I had initially gone to Turkey to consult with a dental clinic there. The initial clinic consultation went a direction that didn't want to go to meet my needs. Bookimed was able to quickly arrange more consultations with other clinics and Bahcelievler Memorial Hospital. I really liked the dental staff and the vision/action plan proposed by Bahcelievler. I quickly decided that they were the best option of all my consultations there in-country. Due to the severity of my dental needs, the Chief of Dentistry (Dr. Esma Sonmez) personally took my case. Her and her team were fantastic. She highly recommended the oral surgeon, part of the hospital, Dr. Celal Gondirll. I highly recommend both of them. Mr. Gondirll communicated clearly the game plan, successfully followed through with a well-performed surgery, and was available for after-care. I needed 24 crowns, with temporaries installed prior to the jaw surgery, and permanents installed post-surgery. Dr Sonmez performed all the crowns herself. In all, everything went very well. My hospital medical coordinators, Ms. Rose and Mr. Masoud, did a great job of coordinating the activities, hospital stay, hotel stay, and shuttle services. It has only been about a week and a half post-surgery, but I am very pleased with the results. I'm sure things will only improve more as the swelling subsides in the coming weeks. None of it would have been possible without my Bookimed coordinator, Winnington, quickly pivoting after my initial consultation going south and arranging the consultation with the hospital. An additional point to mention is that Bahcelievler Memorial Hospital was able to perform all the needed services at a significantly cheaper price. Dr. Sonmez is also very conservative in her approach to dental care and was able to successfully avoid 12 root canals that my initial dental clinic consultations had deemed "required." I would strongly suggest adding a consultation with the hospital prior to finalizing any action plan. Thank you!

I liked the organisation. Transfer airport-hotel-clinic-hotel-airport. The interpreter met and accompanied me every step of the way. My tests were ready in a week and I did not wait for the results in Istanbul, when I returned home I contacted the translator and he organised an online consultation with the doctor and sent me a consultation sheet. Will send the consultation sheet translated later.

The paediatric neurologist does not dispose the child to herself, immediately started talking to the child in her own language, and the child did not understand her, and she took it as if he did not react to her. I would like to share my experience of an examination in Turkey. The Bookimed service helped me a lot when choosing a clinic - they quickly selected several options, took into account my wishes and even helped me with the organisation of my trip. In the end, I chose a clinic that fully met my expectations. The clinic itself was modern, with highly qualified doctors and attentive staff. I was met directly at the airport, accompanied at all stages, and the medical care was top-notch. I would recommend this service and clinic to anyone looking for quality treatment abroad.

Very good, but I'd come back for a stay of more than 3 days as it's too short to make an assessment. If you don't want to be in a hurry, you need to plan for 5 days on site, preferably outside the weekend! The doctors are extremely competent, attentive and relevant! The hospital is magnificent, large and clean. It has all the technology you need, and despite the wait, I highly recommend memoriall!

The overall treatment was very good, though, some medical attendants could be a bit more empathetic and caring. But overall, I'll use this service again in future. I particularly love the atmosphere and environment. Location was far from where we were but okay all the same. The treatment took the whole day and waiting was a bit tiring, but I can understand why this is. I would prefer to have it done in one day, than spread it over two or three days. Our guide was very good, though is grasp of the language was not great but his attitude more than compensated. I have nothing negative to say about our experience and nothing more to ask, besides, I'll like a follow-up, especially on pending results.
