I’m very grateful
My biggest worry was that my nose would look unnatural and that the result wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Now, even though I’m still recovering, I can see that I was worrying for nothing. They removed a small bump, and the bridge of my nose is straighter, just as I’d hoped. I’d also like to mention that the tip of my nose now looks more refined. My breathing has improved too. I think ultrasonic piezorhinoplasty was the right choice. The whole team, from the staff to the surgeon, were very attentive and professional, which helped me feel at ease. I’m very grateful.
We loved everything; the organisation was top-notch. A special thank you to our coordinator, Valentina. They helped us sort everything out and were always on hand. Thank you so much 🙏🏻❗️

I’m so very glad I had the best doctor and best care
My arrival at Istanbul airport was smooth and efficient. I was met and transported to my hotel. My hotel was lovely. Transportation from hotel to hospitals on time and efficient. I met my advocate at international patient area, she had everything under control, all tests lined up and doctor appointments were fabulous. My advocate translated to my language at every appointment. I’m very happy with the service and I felt very “looked after”. My outcome is excellent and I’m so very glad I had the best doctor and best care.

Being asked to pay extra costs at the last minute was deeply frustrating, souring the entire process. The surgeon was fantastic, and the clinic staff were good. The results speak for themselves; 15 days out, my chest width has perfect proportions and there’s great muscle separation with the medium Polytech implants. But the financial surprise was a significant issue. My advice is this: If you have fat in the chest area and are getting pectoral implants, ensure that gynaecomastia fat removal is negotiated in your final price! You can’t just add an implant without removing excess fat. Confirm with your consultant that this is included, because I did this and was still asked to pay more last minute. Also, the accommodations that they put you in are claimed to be prestige accommodations. The first few days two nights that I arrived. I was put in the most dreadful hotel room that you could ever imagine. I was also informed where I was staying at the very last minute I would advise that you get confirmation of where your accommodations will be and do your research far in advance to ensure that you’ll be staying somewhere acceptable I had to be moved to a new hotel room after completing for days while being ghosted - then the day of my surgery after being operated on I was told to bring my luggage to the hospital and had to check into a new hotel room post Surgery in pain and out of it. Also make sure that whoever your consultant is is readily available to attend to any issues I was ghosted for 48 hours by mine. She had a personal incident in her defence, however, if you’re in a foreign country by yourself, there should be someone to attend to you 24 hours a day regardless of personal incidents time or day somebody should’ve been available as a backup. In summary, it’s very important to make sure exactly what is covered and what is not I was told that everything would be covered except for my flight one in fact, all that was covered was the surgery breakfast hotel accommodations, which were originally terrible and transportation back-and-forth to hospital airport and follow up appointments. In reality, only breakfast was covered. You had to get your own lunch and dinner. Any medications that are prescribed post surgery, including compression vests, or any extra costs are to be covered by the patient and only told at the last minute. It is not in fact, all inclusive. It’s all inclusive in hotel, including breakfast and transportation. Everything else is on you to cover yourself.
I loved the doctor and the translator that I dealt with - Memorial Hospital is exceptional. Very clean and prestigious. Feeling definitely felt like I was in the right place, especially considering I live in Canada and our healthcare is free but very safe.
Don’t be fooled into being told that you’re going to be put in luxury accommodations. Do your research ask what hotel you were going to be accommodated in long before your arrival and READ the reviews. I was told at the very last minute where I was staying, and it ended up being one of the most dreadful hotel rooms. I have ever set foot in in my entire life. In addition at the last minute as I was about to board my flight to come to Istanbul, I was informed of extra costs for fat removal in my procedure, which had already been negotiated months prior. Not a very good situation to inform a patient of extra costs at the last minute literally before boarding my flight to come there. I proceeded to board and figured that this would’ve been resolved by the time I landed only to arrive the day of my surgery and be asked once again for these extra costs to be paid. This was a terrible and horrible experience not something anybody wants to go through minutes before they’re about to be taken into the operating room. Definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. The only thing that I can say that was wonderful and positive about this experience was the doctor. He was phenomenal. The translator that dealt with me. She was also phenomenal, but the communication with this organization throughout all of these issues and problems was terrible at one point I was ghosted for 48 hours with no responses from the team as to how to proceed with this whole extra cost situation.

He is the one that made this journey an amazing, wonderful, magnificent adventure
Starting from the beginning. My international coordinator maurice did an amazing job in getting me the best doctor i needed for my procedure. Traveling to turkey 🇹🇷 was an incredible experience very excited. At memorial sisli hospital my local coordinator fatiha was very forthcoming with all the details, took care of everything. Then my translators Mohamed and beyza also very helpful and professionals great job helping me understand exactly what was being said. Last but not least. The most important part of the experience. Doctor.. Mustafa akarcay. He is the one that made this journey an amazing, wonderful, magnificent adventure. The doctor is top notch, did a wonderful job. Thak y you doctor Mustafa again am so happy with the results. Will recommend him to anyone who is considering plastic surgeron in Istanbul or anywhere in the world. Blessed and happy . I honestly had an amazing experience
Having breast reduction and uplift surgery is something that I had wanted for numerous years but due to underlying health conditions I knew it wouldn't be straight forward. When I eventually made the decision I couldn't have made a better decision. From the initial contact and liason s from Bookimed to the transfers, hotel, hospital tests, surgery and post surgery support was more than I could have asked for. The interpreter Bayza was exceptional and made me feel relaxed throughout the process. The hospital staff and especially my surgeon Dr Kadriye who was so friendly and professional throughout. I honestly had an amazing experience. All my health issues were taken very seriously and accommodated for by giving me the relevant tests and aftercare. I would advise from my personal experience to take clothes that button or unzip after surgery .And my must have item would be my neck cushion that I took with me for after surgery for when you have to sleep upright. Memorial Sisli was outstanding. And I am so happy with outcome. Thankyou all . The photos were from the morning of surgery and the 7th day after.

The surgery went well and I’m happy with the results so far
I liked my doctor and translator. The doctor had a kind and reassuring energy to him. There were two things that bothered me about the experience.One was having to wait several hours past my scheduled consultation with him after a 16 hr travel period after being brought directly to the hospital. The second was being told they may have to harvest cartilage from my ear or rib minutes before my surgery after being told they would not have to do that during the consultation. That really stressed me out. They wound up not having to do that but it made me feel like they had not prepared properly. That being said, the surgery went well and I’m happy with the results so far. I’m posting this only a week and a half from my surgery date but so far, so good.
Overall, it was saving a substantial amount of money for a good result that I liked the most. It is a great overall value.
The hotel was not so comfortable and communication could’ve been better. However, the results are what matters and given the overall price, I don’t feel like one should complain too much.

The surgeon made my nose look beautiful
The only problem was with the interpreters at the hospital itself. There was supposed to be one girl, they said she was not there, then another girl came, and at the discharge there was another girl. And they took turns asking me "what did that interpreter say" or "what did that interpreter say to you". The hospital itself is very big and reading, on the first day a young man from the staff came up to the clinic and clearly by my running look understood that you need help. Good room, I was with a support group in the form of my mum, she was fed three times a day, had a place to sleep and a nice bathroom. The surgeon made my nose look beautiful, and she was unflappable, in a good way.)

This was my first time visiting a clinic abroad. I am very glad that I chose Sisli Memorial for myself. The clinic is huge. I had an excellent, comfortable room. Thanks to the staff for their care and attention. Thanks to my translator Aziza, who was always with me) And special thanks to my plastic surgeon Gulsum Cebi, who listened carefully to all my wishes and made me a gorgeous nose. I was very pleased ❤️

I had an appointment at the Memorial Clinic. Transfer from the hotel to the clinic arrived on time. I myself liked the consultation and the doctor. On this all the positive moments ended. And the full horror has begun !!!! Upon arrival, I went to the reception ... There no one understood who I was and where I was, although everything was agreed in advance. They explained to me with difficulty and an English translator that they needed to go up to the 12th floor, where the same thing happened again ... after some time they sent an English translator, who was also a coordinator, as I understood. After the reception, I asked for the transfer back (which was also agreed in advance), which I was told to call or write to the coordinator with bookimed, which I did ... thanks to Maxim - he was able to contact the main coordinator of the clinic, but she herself I didn’t do anything ... after an HOUR of waiting in the lobby, I called her and asked when the transfer would be, to which they answered me ... sorry, now they won’t pick you up ... will you get there yourself?
