Robotic surgery and cancer care
Samsung Medical Center houses the largest cancer center in Asia. It features 17 specialized departments and uses proton beam therapy alongside robotic systems. For adrenal tumors, surgeons often choose the Da Vinci robotic system.
- Da Vinci robotic adrenalectomy. This is a minimally invasive procedure to remove the tumor. The robotic arms provide more precision than traditional tools. This method often shortens the time spent in the hospital.
- Robotic-assisted nephrectomy. When a tumor affects the area near the kidney, surgeons use this technique to remove the growth while sparing healthy tissue.
The clinic follows international standards often referred to as "presidential standards" in Korea. Its large oncology department allows for a collaborative approach to every case. If you need a review of your imaging or a surgery plan, you may request a consultation on Bookimed.
