I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Park and the entire team! From start to finish, everyone—especially Joanne—was incredibly accommodating and attentive, which made me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Park did an incredible job on my breast augmentation. Remarkably, after just one day of recovery, I was able to walk around Seoul, use public transport, and see all the sights I wanted to visit. Although it was slightly uncomfortable at times, I never experienced significant pain beyond the first few hours after waking from anesthesia. I truly believe this speaks to Dr. Park’s precision—and maybe a little to my own fast healing! The clinic goes above and beyond for their patients. I received IV therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all of which made me feel well supported throughout recovery. Dr. Park and the team checked in consistently, which is such a green flag—so different from many experiences in the U.S., where doctors often focus solely on the surgery itself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Park for anyone seeking attentive, professional care and excellent results.

That gave me a lot of confidence
I really appreciated the time my doctor took during the consultation for my forehead and frown lines. He was so thorough, explaining exactly where and why he would inject, and was very honest about what realistic results would look like after showing me photos of previous patients. That gave me a lot of confidence. Now in my early recovery, I'm feeling better than expected. It was a good process. The final price was exactly what I was quoted, with no additional expenses. My only note is that there was little contact from the clinic after my appointment, but overall the service was solid.
I’ve love how medical coordinator took care of everything !

If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation
If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation. The process from start to finish was handled with such professionalism. I am still in the early stages of healing, so I am following all the aftercare instructions carefully. The surgeon was thorough, and the entire staff made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for throughout my visit. The facility was also very clean and modern. I am thankful for the support I received from the whole team.
Plenty of communication. One to one english speaking team member. Very attentive staff members who were dealing with me. Surgeon very professional and easy to understand. My bookimed contact Olha was great

FAQ about Red Light Therapy in Republic of Korea

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is the best red light therapy clinic in Seoul, Republic of Korea?

AB Plastic Surgery and specialised dermatology centres in Gangnam are top choices. They provide red light therapy in Seoul. These clinics use professional-grade LED systems. These devices stimulate collagen and speed up healing after surgery. Most centres combine light therapy with skin rejuvenation or anti-ageing treatments.

  • Seoul locations: Gangnam and Cheongdam house the most modern aesthetic facilities.
  • Clinical integration: Red light is often paired with LHALA peels or facials.
  • Post-op care: Surgeons use LED therapy to reduce swelling and inflammation.
  • Clinic standards: AB Plastic Surgery serves 24,000 patients annually and holds national safety certifications.
  • Service support: Leading Seoul clinics provide multilingual staff and airport transfers.

Bookimed Expert Insight: AB Plastic Surgery maintains an anaesthetist ratio double the industry average. This focus on safety extends to their skin department. Major Seoul clinics often include red light therapy for free. This is usually part of a post-surgery recovery package rather than a standalone service.

Patient Consensus: Patients suggest choosing an established skin clinic with strong reviews over a therapy-specific studio. They find red light therapy most effective when combined with broader dermatology plans. These plans are available in Seoul centres.

Is red light therapy safe for sensitive skin?

Red light therapy is highly effective and safe for sensitive skin. This is because it is non-thermal and non-invasive. Unlike lasers, it boosts cellular energy without damaging the skin barrier. Leading Seoul specialists like Dr Yeom Jihye use these treatments. They help soothe inflammation and repair delicate skin.

  • Non-aggressive approach: Therapy avoids chemical peeling or heat damage to the skin barrier.
  • Reduced inflammation: Wavelengths (630–850 nm) repair tissue while calming rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.
  • Minimal side effects: Most sessions result in zero downtime with only rare, temporary redness.
  • Professional oversight: Clinics like AB Plastic Surgery provide dermatologist-led care for reactive skin.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Red light is generally soothing. However, the near-infrared (NIR) settings on many devices can trigger heat-related flares in rosacea patients. Specialists at Seoul clinics often recommend starting with pure red light before introducing NIR. This helps confirm their skin tolerance without risking heat-induced irritation or stinging.

Patient Consensus: Starting with 5-10 minute sessions helps skin stay calm and prevents unexpected breakouts. Patients in Republic of Korea find that avoiding harsh retinoids before treatment reduces the risk. Stinging and rashes are less likely.

What are the main benefits of red light therapy in Korean beauty routines?

In Korean beauty routines, red light therapy (RLT) triggers photobiomodulation. This process boosts collagen, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing. Seoul clinics like AB Plastic Surgery use specific wavelengths to achieve glass skin. This means a luminous complexion with refined pores. Benefits include smoother texture and reduced redness within 4 to 12 weeks.

  • Collagen stimulation: Fibroblasts trigger natural protein production to firm skin and reduce sagging.
  • Glass skin effect: Improved circulation promotes a smooth, bright, and highly radiant complexion.
  • Inflammation reduction: Therapy calms redness and irritation associated with breakouts or sensitive skin.
  • Scar healing: Accelerated tissue repair fades hyperpigmentation and clears post-acne marks more quickly.
  • Texture refinement: Consistent use leads to visibly smaller pores and a less textured surface.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Leading Seoul clinics often incorporate RLT as a post-laser recovery tool. This includes AB Plastic Surgery and Forena Clinic. Surgeons like Dr Yeom Jihye perform thousands of procedures with red light to speed healing. This combination treatment is a secret to Korea's exceptionally fast recovery times. They happen after intensive skin resurfacing.

Patient Consensus: Patients in South Korea report transformed skin glow and calmer texture after consistent sessions. Many describe the results as subtle but cumulative improvements that significantly reduce facial redness.

How often should I do red light therapy?

Most people achieve best results with red light therapy using sessions 3 to 5 times per week. Each session typically lasts 10 to 20 minutes to allow cellular repair. Consistency is vital as benefits are cumulative. However, cells require rest periods to maximise the healing effects.

  • Skin rejuvenation: Recommended frequency is 3 to 5 sessions per week for general anti-ageing.
  • Pain management: Daily sessions are beneficial initially to reduce inflammation and target deep tissue.
  • Maintenance phase: Reduce frequency to 1 to 3 times weekly once achieving desired results.
  • Gradual introduction: Start with 10-minute sessions to check skin reactions and avoid cellular fatigue.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinical data from Seoul shows specialists like Dr Yeom Jihye at Forena Clinic integrate light therapy. They combine it with advanced skin protocols. In the Republic of Korea, clinics often use medical-grade panels. These require less frequent use than home devices. Patients should verify device intensity as high-output systems can cause hyperpigmentation if used daily.

Patient Consensus: Starting every other day is a sensible way to prevent irritation or tiredness. Most people in the Republic of Korea prefer shorter 5 to 20 minute sessions. These give better skin results.
