How Much Does Thermage Cost in Republic of Korea?

Thermage in the Republic of Korea typically costs from $2,100 to $2,600. Prices primarily depend on the number of shots delivered, the specific handpiece used, and the clinical expertise of the dermatologist. In the United States, patients pay an average of $4,000 for similar treatments. South Korea offers high-end technology with savings of approximately 43%. Packages often include a specialist consultation and professional skin evaluation.

  • Number of shots: Higher shot counts for the full face or neck increase the total price.
  • Treatment area: Smaller regions like the eye area cost less than full-face or jawline procedures.
  • Combination protocols: Adding Ultherapy or ONDA Coolwaves to Thermage sessions creates premium pricing for enhanced results.
  • Clinic location: Most specialized aesthetic centers are located in the Seoul districts of Gangnam and Cheongdam.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic where doctors hold Solta Medical Academy TTT Master Course certification ensures top-tier technique. For example, at Oracle Clinic Cheongdam, specialists like Jang Hansol offer expert application. Patients can find standard 900-shot advanced tightening packages for approximately $2,300. Some centers like Forena Clinic specialize in high-volume laser dermatology, performing over 14,000 operations. This level of experience often translates to better precision and personalized beauty advice.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Park and the entire team! From start to finish, everyone—especially Joanne—was incredibly accommodating and attentive, which made me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Park did an incredible job on my breast augmentation. Remarkably, after just one day of recovery, I was able to walk around Seoul, use public transport, and see all the sights I wanted to visit. Although it was slightly uncomfortable at times, I never experienced significant pain beyond the first few hours after waking from anesthesia. I truly believe this speaks to Dr. Park’s precision—and maybe a little to my own fast healing! The clinic goes above and beyond for their patients. I received IV therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all of which made me feel well supported throughout recovery. Dr. Park and the team checked in consistently, which is such a green flag—so different from many experiences in the U.S., where doctors often focus solely on the surgery itself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Park for anyone seeking attentive, professional care and excellent results.

That gave me a lot of confidence
I really appreciated the time my doctor took during the consultation for my forehead and frown lines. He was so thorough, explaining exactly where and why he would inject, and was very honest about what realistic results would look like after showing me photos of previous patients. That gave me a lot of confidence. Now in my early recovery, I'm feeling better than expected. It was a good process. The final price was exactly what I was quoted, with no additional expenses. My only note is that there was little contact from the clinic after my appointment, but overall the service was solid.
I’ve love how medical coordinator took care of everything !

If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation
If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation. The process from start to finish was handled with such professionalism. I am still in the early stages of healing, so I am following all the aftercare instructions carefully. The surgeon was thorough, and the entire staff made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for throughout my visit. The facility was also very clean and modern. I am thankful for the support I received from the whole team.
Plenty of communication. One to one english speaking team member. Very attentive staff members who were dealing with me. Surgeon very professional and easy to understand. My bookimed contact Olha was great

FAQ about Thermage in Republic of Korea

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How long do results from Thermage FLX in South Korea last?

Thermage FLX results in South Korea typically last for 12 to 18 months. Initial tightening appears within weeks, but peak collagen regeneration occurs at 2–3 months. Full visible effects develop at 3–6 months for long-term facial lifting and skin elasticity.

  • Shot count impact: The 600-shot protocol is needed for results to last 12+ months.
  • Gradual improvement: Best results appear 3–6 months later as new collagen stimulates.
  • Eye results: Eye Thermage 450-shot treatments generally last between 6 to 12 months.
  • Maintenance schedule: Most patients book annual treatments in Seoul to maintain their results.
  • Shot verification: Clinics use QR codes and serial numbers to verify genuine tips.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows a trend where Seoul clinics combine technologies for better longevity. Oracle Clinic Cheongdam offers Thermage FLX with Ultherapy from A$3,000 to A$3,400. This combination targets multiple skin layers. Dr. Jang Hansol, a certified Thermage Master, often recommends this to extend results beyond 12 months.

Patient Consensus: Results look best 3 months after returning home rather than immediately. Patients in South Korea recommend avoiding 300-shot discount packages for a meaningful, long-lasting collagen response.

What is the downtime after a Thermage treatment in South Korea?

Thermage treatment in South Korea involves virtually no downtime, allowing most patients to resume daily activities immediately. Mild redness or slight swelling may occur but typically fades within 24 hours. The non-invasive Thermage FLX technology requires no surgery, anaesthesia, or theatre time.

  • No recovery period: Patients return to work or social activities immediately after their appointment.
  • Mild side effects: Slight warmth or redness usually vanishes within a few hours to 1 day.
  • Makeup application: Cosmetics can be applied straight after treatment without irritating the skin.
  • Aftercare protocol: Specialists recommend avoiding saunas or hot baths for 24 hours post-procedure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Seoul clinics now offer combination packages. These pair Thermage FLX with Ultherapy. Oracle Clinic Cheongdam is one example. This dual approach provides deeper lifting and surface tightening. However, patients should prepare for slightly more swelling. This swelling typically resolves within 48 hours.

Patient Consensus: Expect mild warmth and redness that clears quickly. This allows for immediate travel and normal activities in South Korea. The procedure feels intensely uncomfortable for some. However, results build gradually over 2–6 months after returning home.

Does Thermage hurt during the procedure in Korean clinics?

Thermage is generally tolerable in Korean clinics. However, patients describe the sensation as intense heat or stinging. Specialists at Seoul centres manage discomfort using several methods. These include the device’s built-in cooling technology, numbing creams, localised injections, or IV sedation. They match these to individual pain thresholds.

  • Pain management: Providers use cooling gel and numbing cream to dull surface-level heat sensations.
  • Advanced technology: Thermage FLX features vibration and cooling pulses to distract from deep-tissue warmth.
  • Sedation options: Specialised clinics like Forena Clinic offer IV sedation for those with lower tolerance.
  • Variable intensity: Doctors adjust energy levels in real-time based on verbal feedback during the procedure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows that South Korean specialists often achieve better comfort. They do this by combining Thermage with other technologies. For instance, Dr. Yeom Jihye at Forena Clinic pairs Thermage with ONDA Coolwaves. This approach uses microwave technology alongside radiofrequency. Many patients find this significantly more comfortable than high-energy Thermage shots alone.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Korea report that the jawline and cheekbones feel like a hot rubber band snap. However, the results make the discomfort manageable. Many recommend asking for extra numbing time for a smoother experience.

How can I ensure I am getting an authentic Thermage treatment in South Korea?

To ensure authentic Thermage in South Korea, verify the clinic uses official Solta Medical equipment. Also verify they use a genuine, single-use treatment tip. Authentic providers include Forena Clinic and Oracle Clinic Cheongdam. They use FDA-approved Thermage FLX devices. After the procedure, they give a genuine shot certification voucher.

  • Check certifications: Verify the specialist is a Thermage TTT Master or Medical Thought Leader.
  • Inspect equipment: Make sure the clinic uses the latest US-manufactured Thermage FLX system only.
  • Validate tips: Watch the doctor open a new, sealed treatment tip with hologram stickers.
  • Demand certificates: Request the Thermage Genuine User Certificate and authentic shot count printout.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics offer Thermage. Oracle Clinic Cheongdam stands out by hosting official APAC launch events. Their doctors, like Dr. Jang Hansol, have completed the Solta Medical TTT Master Course. A clinic that acts as an industry educator uses the most current, legitimate protocols.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend avoiding crowded tourist factories for custom energy settings. They suggest choosing private clinics that have English-speaking coordinators. These clinics also provide formal authenticity certificates after every session in Seoul.

What is the difference between Thermage FLX and Thermage CPT for treatment in South Korea?

Thermage FLX is the 4th generation technology widely adopted in South Korea. It provides faster, more comfortable results. It uses AccuREP automatic energy adjustment for precision. In contrast, the older Thermage CPT relies on fixed-pulse delivery. Most Seoul dermatologists now recommend FLX for superior tightening.

  • Energy precision: FLX uses AccuREP technology to calibrate energy output for every single pulse.
  • Treatment speed: Larger 4.0 cm² tips cut procedure time by 25% over CPT tips.
  • Comfort levels: Improved vibration and cooling make FLX significantly less painful than the CPT version.
  • Clinical availability: Top clinics such as Oracle Clinic Cheongdam now treat FLX as the standard.
  • Session targets: Patients over 30 typically require 600 FLX shots for visible full-face lifting results.

Bookimed Expert Insight: CPT remains a budget-friendly option. Even so, leading Seoul specialists have moved almost exclusively to FLX. Dr Jang Hansol at Oracle Clinic Cheongdam is an example. Data shows clinics are now pairing FLX with Ultherapy in A$3,000+ packages. These packages target both surface tightening and deep muscle lifting.

Patient Consensus: Seoul patients recommend verifying tip authenticity by scanning the RFID code before use. Most describe a gradual tightening effect. This effect peaks at three months with significantly less puffiness.

Which is better for skin tightening in South Korea: Ultherapy or Thermage?

Choosing between Ultherapy and Thermage in South Korea depends on the goal. The goal could be deep tissue lifting or surface skin tightening. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to target the deep muscle layer for structural lifting. Thermage employs radiofrequency to firm the skin surface and improve texture.

  • Target depth: Ultherapy reaches the SMAS muscle layer. Thermage treats the mid-to-deep dermis.
  • Primary outcome: Ultherapy is better for jowls or drooping jawlines. Thermage firms crepey, thin skin.
  • Pain profile: Ultherapy involves intense stinging heat. Thermage offers a more tolerable warm sensation.
  • Shot count: Patients generally require 600 shots for meaningful results for a full-face treatment.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many leading Seoul clinics now offer "Ul-Thermage" combination packages starting around A$3,000 to A$3,400. This approach uses Ultherapy to lift the structural foundation. It also uses Thermage to tighten the outer skin envelope. The whole treatment takes place in a single session. Specialists like Dr. Jang Hansol at Oracle Clinic Cheongdam specifically recommend this dual-layer strategy. It maximises anti-ageing results for international patients.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Korea often choose Thermage for early skin laxity and Ultherapy for significant sagging. They recommend asking the clinic to open the authentic treatment tip in front of you. This guarantees safety.

How many shots do I need for Thermage treatment in South Korea?

Thermage shot counts in South Korea generally range from 225 to 900. The exact number depends on the treatment area. Standard full-face rejuvenation typically requires 600 shots. For the face and neck together, 900 shots are used. Specialist eye treatments use 225- or 450-shot tips.

  • Full face: 600 shots is the benchmark for visible lifting in adults over 30.
  • Face and neck: 900 shots provide comprehensive tightening across both the jawline and neck.
  • Eye area: 450 shots specifically target eyelid sagging and under-eye fine lines using specialised tips.
  • Targeted maintenance: 300 shots may suffice for smaller zones or younger patients with minimal sagging.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While 600 shots is standard, choose specialists like Dr. Jang Hansol at Oracle Clinic Cheongdam. These specialists hold Master Course certifications. Leading Seoul clinics often perform over 20,000 procedures annually. This volume means doctors have the experience to adjust shot depth based on skin thickness.

Patient Consensus: Patients in South Korea say 600 shots give the most noticeable results for full-face tightening. Many suggest verifying the Thermage FLX machine is genuine. They also recommend asking for confirmation that a fresh tip is used.
