100% recommend this clinic
On 19.02.2025 I had breast augmentation surgery. Beforehand, I received a detailed consultation from professionals Dr Anychit Kitsombud, Dr Elena Goldobenko and nurse Maricor. The doctor helped with the choice of size and shape of implants, told me in detail about the operation, consequences, recovery process, gave clear recommendations. The surgery was easy, the medical staff was always in touch, they helped, cared. Dr Elena is always in touch, controls the recovery process, gives recommendations. Definitely, the choice of this clinic was the right decision for this operation. I am very happy with the result. 100% recommend this clinic. Professionalism, safety, care - B Care!

I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

I am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away
Dr has a lot of experience in breast implants, he removed my old implants together with capsulatomy and replaced them with new implants with very little scarring. I had waited two weeks to give a proper analysis of his work,, and am delighted that the scars are well hidden and now they are fading away.
Dr has many years of experience in doing implants and he had to remove my old implants and a capsulectomy procedure and putting in new implants with little scarring.

For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Travelled all the way from Singapore to Thailand because of the great reviews I read online. Here's what I experienced: There was no pain at all during the surgery. By day 6, I was moving around just fine (I did my surgery on a Saturday and flew back to Singapore the following Friday with no issues, even while carrying my luggage). By day 9, all the pain was gone, and I could carry my heavy school bag to school the whole day without any problem. I was honestly quite surprised at how fast I recovered, especially after reading that some people take one to three months to fully recover. That's one of the main reasons I recommend this clinic. The breast implants turned out really well. For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Today is the 9th day from the day of my surgery and I’m alrdy recovered from the painfulness.
No complain at all, all good

FAQ about Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Which cities in Thailand are the preferred destinations for safe breast augmentation, and why?

Bangkok and Phuket are the primary destinations for safe breast augmentation in Thailand due to their high concentration of JCI-accredited hospitals and expert plastic surgeons. These hubs offer advanced medical technology, FDA-approved silicone implants like Motiva Ergonomix, and specialized recovery environments for international patients.

  • Bangkok facilities: Houses top-tier centers like Yanhee and Wansiri with JCI and ISO certifications.
  • Phuket clinics: Combines surgical excellence with luxury resort-style recovery for a heal-in-paradise experience.
  • Surgeon expertise: Doctors like Kittisak Vichachai at Lelux Hospital bring over 36 years of experience.
  • Safety standards: Top clinics reported 0% complication rates for major procedures and follow international protocols.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While Phuket is famous for recovery vacations, Bangkok remains the clinical powerhouse. Data shows Bangkok hospitals like Yanhee serve over 450,000 patients annually. This massive volume translates to surgeons who have performed tens of thousands of procedures, significantly narrowing the margin for error compared to smaller regional clinics.

Patient Consensus: Patients prioritize Bangkok for its proven safety record and English-speaking staff. Many recommend budgeting for a 7–10 day stay in a local hotel to ensure proper post-operative monitoring before flying home.

What are the specific and lasting health risks associated with silicone breast implants?

Silicone breast implants carry lasting risks including capsular contracture, silent rupture, and rare malignancies like BIA-ALCL. These devices are not lifetime implants. The risk of complications such as silicone migration or systemic breast implant illness increases significantly over 10 years.

  • Capsular contracture: Scar tissue tightens around implants, causing breast hardening, pain, and distortion.
  • Silent rupture: Silicone shells can tear without symptoms, requiring MRI or ultrasound detection.
  • BIA-ALCL risk: Rare immune system cancer linked primarily to textured silicone implant surfaces.
  • Silicone migration: Ruptured gel may travel to lymph nodes, liver, or lungs.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International and Asia Cosmetic Hospital prioritize safety by using JCI standards. Data shows that high-volume centers performing 450,000+ procedures annually often favor Motiva Ergonomix. These adaptive implants are designed to minimize the 20-50% lifetime risk of capsular contracture seen with older generations.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that 70-80% of implants require replacement within a decade. Many report manageable recoveries but stress the necessity of annual screenings to catch silent ruptures early.

How long must I stay in Thailand after breast augmentation?

Patients should plan to stay in Thailand for 7 to 10 days after breast augmentation. This window ensures the surgeon can monitor early healing, remove non-dissolvable sutures, and provide a fit-to-fly certificate. Patients traveling from the US or Europe may require 14 days to minimize deep vein thrombosis risks.

  • Hospital observation: Most clinics require 1–2 nights of inpatient monitoring following general anesthesia.
  • First follow-up: Surgeons typically schedule a vital wound check between day 5 and 7.
  • Suture removal: If required, clinicians remove external stitches during the day 7 assessment.
  • Travel clearance: A formal medical release is necessary before boarding long-haul international flights.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many search for the lowest price, the real value in Thailand is often found in the hospital-grade recovery environments. Facilities like Lelux Hospital provide 24-hour post-operative care in private VIP rooms, which is a significant safety advantage over recovering in a standard hotel. For patients choosing larger or round implants, extending the stay to 12 days is a smart move to monitor the initial settling process before a long flight.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that a 10-day stay provides the most peace of mind. Many advise booking flexible return flights in case the surgeon recommends an extra 48 hours for swelling to subside.

Which silicone implant brands and shapes are most commonly used in Thailand?

Thai clinics primarily use Mentor and Motiva silicone implants, which are considered the local industry standard. Round shapes are the most popular choice for classic fullness, while Motiva Ergonomix is widely favored for its ability to mimic natural breast movement and tissue behavior.

  • Top brands: Mentor and Motiva lead the market, with Nagor and Polytech as alternatives.
  • Leading shapes: Round implants dominate due to lower rotation risks compared to anatomical shapes.
  • Ergonomic technology: Motiva Ergonomix rounds shift shape naturally whether the patient is standing or lying.
  • Placing technique: Surgeons favor submuscular placement, typically using 300cc to 400cc sizes for Asian frames.
  • Surface texture: Smooth and nano-textured surfaces are preferred to reduce rare long-term inflammatory complications.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows a clear quality-volume correlation in Bangkok. High-volume centers like Yanhee International Hospital, which serves 450,000 patients annually, primarily utilize Mentor MemoryGel. Meanwhile, premium boutique centers often specialize in Motiva Ergonomix. While budget brands exist, opting for these market leaders significantly reduces long-term revision risks in the Thai surgical landscape.

Patient Consensus: Patients frequently recommend paying extra for Motiva Ergonomix to achieve a softer feel. Most advise verifying your specific implant serial number via an official ID card provided by the clinic.

What brands of silicone implants are popular with top Thai clinics?

Top Thai clinics primarily use Motiva, Mentor, and Allergan (Natrelle) silicone implants. These brands are favored for their international certifications like US FDA and JCI accreditation. Motiva Ergonomix is currently the most popular choice due to its natural movement and advanced nanosurface technology.

  • Motiva Ergonomix: Features adaptive gel technology for natural appearance and integrated microchips.
  • Mentor MemoryGel: American-made brand preferred for providing superior upper pole fullness.
  • Allergan Natrelle: Utilizes highly cohesive gel known for maintains shape and stability.
  • Secondary options: French Sebbin and Eurosilicone brands offer reliable European alternatives.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many believe price is the only difference, data shows 90% of local cases favor Motiva because of its specialized distributor support in Thailand. This ensures consistent supply and immediate access to the latest sizes, unlike smaller imported brands.

Patient Consensus: Patients frequently recommend verifying the specific implant brand before surgery to avoid generic house brands. Most suggest paying the $1,000–$2,000 premium for Motiva Ergonomix to significantly reduce long-term revision risks.

How long must international patients remain in Thailand after silicone breast augmentation?

International patients must stay in Thailand for 7 to 10 days after silicone breast augmentation to ensure surgical stability. Most surgeons mandate this period for drain removal, incision monitoring, and confirming the absence of seromas or excessive swelling before issuing a fit-to-fly certificate.

  • Hospital stay: Expect 1 to 2 nights in the hospital for immediate post-operative monitoring.
  • Wound check: A critical follow-up occurs between day 5 and day 7 for stitches.
  • Flight safety: Extended stays of 10 to 14 days further reduce deep vein thrombosis risks.
  • Pre-op preparation: Arriving 1 to 2 days before surgery allows for final physical consultations.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many search for the cheapest base price, clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Yanhee International Hospital maintain JCI accreditation, which often correlates with more structured 10-day recovery protocols. Choosing a facility with hospital-grade sterile rooms, such as Lelux Plastic Surgery Hospital, provides a safer environment for the critical first 48 hours of healing.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize staying at least 10 days to avoid travel-related pain and complications. Many recommend booking serviced apartments nearby and choosing business class for the return flight to allow for necessary arm elevation.

When can I resume exercise and normal work after surgery?

Most patients resume sedentary work within 3 to 7 days after breast augmentation in Thailand. You can begin light walking immediately, but you must avoid upper body exercise for 8 weeks and high-impact sports for at least 3 months to ensure proper implant settling.

  • Office work: Return to desk jobs in 3 to 7 days, considering travel-related swelling.
  • Upper body restriction: Keep arms below shoulder level for 4 weeks to prevent implant shifting.
  • Physical exercise: Low-impact cardio is safe after 4 weeks; avoid heavy lifting for 8 weeks.
  • Driving: Resume driving after 7 days once you finish prescription pain medications.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Yanhee International and Asia Cosmetic Hospital handle massive patient volumes, often exceeding 400,000 cases annually. This high frequency means surgeons often enforce a strict 8-week upper-body rest period. While some Western guidelines allow lifting sooner, Thai specialists prioritize this longer window to maintain their reported 0% complication rates and 95% success benchmarks.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend taking a full 10 days off to manage both surgery recovery and jet lag. Use slip-on clothes and straws during the first month to avoid painful reaching or lifting movements.

How natural will my results look and feel?

Breast augmentation results in Thailand achieve a natural look and feel through submuscular placement of cohesive gel silicone implants. Tissues typically soften within 3 to 6 months as implants settle into their final position. Surgeons often recommend teardrop shapes and Motiva Ergonomix implants to mimic natural breast movement and elasticity.

  • Implant material: Cohesive gel silicone mimics natural tissue weight and provides a realistic feel.
  • Placement technique: Submuscular or under-the-muscle placement provides better coverage for a seamless, blended appearance.
  • Anatomical shapes: Teardrop implants offer a sloped profile that resembles natural breast anatomy more closely.
  • Settling timeline: Final naturalization occurs during the drop-and-fluff phase, usually 3 to 6 months post-op.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital prioritize Motiva Ergonomix implants because they are designed to shift shape based on gravity. This technology allows the implant to look round when you lie down and teardrop-shaped when you stand. Choosing these adaptive materials often yields a softer feel than traditional fixed-shape silicone options.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find their results become indistinguishable from natural breast tissue once the initial tightness fades. Following specific massage protocols and avoiding oversized implants for smaller frames are frequently cited as the keys to achieving soft, ripple-free outcomes.
