Dr. Mustafa Akkaya earned his medical degree from Gazi University (2003–2009). He completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University (2009–2014). He holds a PhD in Musculoskeletal System and Regenerative Medicine from the same university (2016–2020).
In 2022, he received the European Knee Society Knee Arthroplasty Traveling Researcher Fellowship in robotic knee arthroplasty. He worked as a clinical researcher at Helios ENDO‑Klinik Hamburg (2021–2022), focusing on advanced joint surgery and prosthetic infections. He also worked as a clinical researcher at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, Bologna (2014), focusing on arthroscopic joint surgery, meniscus, and cartilage. In 2013, he held the same role at ATOS Clinic Heidelberg.
Clinical interests include joint surgery, knee and hip surgery, prosthetic infections, meniscus and cartilage surgery, and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Hulda Rifat Ozakpinar specializes in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at Lokman Hekim Akay Hospital. She is a recipient of the MEXT Medical Research Scholarship from the Japanese government. Dr. Ozakpinar focuses on microsurgery and complex reconstructive techniques. She previously served as a microsurgery lecturer at Showa University School of Medicine in Japan.
