Professor Omer Faruk Bilgen is an experienced orthopedist-traumatologist with over 35 years in the field. He specializes in total knee, hip, and shoulder replacement surgeries. He also focuses on revision arthroplasty, femoral osteotomy, and the treatment of hip dislocation and avascular necrosis (AVN).
Prof. Bilgen performs about 650 orthopedic surgeries each year. This high number shows his skill and the trust patients place in him. He became a Professor in 2002. He has also worked as an Education Advisor and Lecturer for STRYKER, USA. Prof. Bilgen has published many academic papers and often presents new surgical techniques at international conferences.
He is the President of the Turkish Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and holds leadership positions in other medical organizations.
