Communication was great. I was picked up from the hotel, transfered to the hospital, and accompanied by Adam (translator) through the journey. He knew exactly the intake process and what they would want. He was well organized and very friendly. The consultant spoke English and was very calm, and professional. I had femto iLasik which was without complication. Pre-op my prescription was -7. Day 0 post op, I could still see but with blurry vision. Day 1 post op, my vision is now 20/20. But eyes feel gritty but hopefully will ease in a few days. I am very impressed with the quality and standard of the whole process. I would highly recommend Turkey for medical tourism. Overall, the experience was very much worth. It’s so world changing to be able to see clearly again! The cost was so much better than in the US, and I was also able to get the lens I wanted that is not available in the US yet. Other than a false assumption about where my hotel was located, and the drivers having difficulty finding me, the only perimeter went pretty smoothly. I’m happy with the outcome. I would only suggest that there be at least one nurse or medical staff besides the doctor who speaks English. Many more paranoid, or less traveled Americans would have a hard time going through that honestly. I feel the service is very worth iit overall, those are just some recommendations to make the service excellent and a no-brainer for Americans who need medical procedures.

Upon arrival in Turkey from the airport transfer onwards, I have got to say all doubts were a contrast as to what I witnessed and to the treatment I received. On the first day the hotel staff were welcoming by the way I stayed local to VMH University Hospital Istanbul Besyol, at a budget I chose the World Point Hotel 700 meters away (Ramada Hotel was even closer.) I'm not arguing with what I paid, hygiene, cleanliness, manners, availability of staff, room, I got and witnessed. The transfer to the Hospital l walked with my translator, who put all my nerves and questions I had to bed, I must say I felt alot better. On arrival I was astounded, the smell of freshness, clean, I had to ask the translator how many floors 9 was the reply, Big, busy different ethnicities different cultures, vast array of people from all parts of the world, I felt comfortable. The level of equipment, the Doctors, staff members would not go amiss in any Country. The treatment I received the interaction which you have with the Doctor was of great effect to me as the knowledge about my treatment gained was instrumental in what was to happen. I had lens replacement and cataract surgery and was blown away by how professional and eager to assist the staff were. It was followed up by Bookimed a week later since Id returned home. They even refunded me some of my original payment even though I hadn't requested it as they found an error on the calculations. I know it's concerning to travel and have operations but from my experience you truly have nothing to worry about. I will definitely look at further surgery via this company and hospital.

I enjoyed my time in the hospital. Despite some language barrier with the driver and Staff,everything went smooth. Really appreciate Wissam, his boss and the doctor. Wissam went above and beyond to make sure my journey was smooth. They arranged pick up from airport to hotel, and every trips from hotel to hospital and back. I do wish the staff would smile a bit and speak English a bit since it's an international hospital. The doctor was really open and honest with what he can and cannot fix, which I appreciate. Price similar to what was discussed, no hidden cost. Only 24 hours after the surgery I was already in blue mosque enjoying the view with no issue whatsoever. Highly recommended!

During my hospital visit, I had an extremely unpleasant experience. None of the staff spoke English, making it nearly impossible to express my concerns and questions. Even worse, they refused to accept card payments and instead provided third-party payment details, which triggered significant financial alarm. To add insult to injury, I was required to provide a $200 cash deposit, which I later found out was non-refundable. This is utterly unfair and unacceptable. It left me feeling financially and emotionally upset, and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Clear communication and fair payment practices are fundamental aspects of any healthcare facility, and this hospital failed miserably in both regards. Beyond communication and payment issues, I should mention that the hospital was located in an area completely unsuitable for tourists. This made the overall impression even more distressing. Visitors to a foreign country expect healthcare facilities to be accessible and welcoming, but this hospital was located in such a way that made it extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. This is an important factor to consider for anyone planning to visit this area and in need of medical care.

I liked everything, the clinic is really good. The doctor is also a professional in his field. One minus is that they said the operation was scheduled for Saturday, but in the end it was done on Wednesday, like they postponed it twice. But everyone is happy)))!
