I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Travelled all the way from Singapore to Thailand because of the great reviews I read online. Here's what I experienced: There was no pain at all during the surgery. By day 6, I was moving around just fine (I did my surgery on a Saturday and flew back to Singapore the following Friday with no issues, even while carrying my luggage). By day 9, all the pain was gone, and I could carry my heavy school bag to school the whole day without any problem. I was honestly quite surprised at how fast I recovered, especially after reading that some people take one to three months to fully recover. That's one of the main reasons I recommend this clinic. The breast implants turned out really well. For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Today is the 9th day from the day of my surgery and I’m alrdy recovered from the painfulness.
No complain at all, all good

FAQ about Breast Augmentation with Gummy Bear Implants in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What are the legal protections for patients undergoing cosmetic surgery in Thailand?

Thailand has regulations governing medical practices, but it's crucial to understand your rights as an international patient. Choose clinics that comply with local laws and international standards, providing contracts that outline procedures, costs, and patient rights clearly.

How do I manage post-operative care and support while being away from my home country?

Clinics often provide detailed post-operative care instructions and support services such as 24/7 nursing assistance during your stay. Ensure you have access to these resources before traveling, and arrange for virtual consultations if needed once you return home.

What measures are in place to ensure the hygiene and sterility of surgical facilities in Thailand?

Reputable clinics adhere to international standards for sterilization and hygiene, often accredited by organizations like JCI. Ensure your chosen facility follows strict protocols by verifying their certifications and reading reviews from previous patients.

Is it safe to travel back home immediately after the procedure, or should I extend my stay in Thailand?

It's recommended to stay in Thailand for at least 1 week post-surgery to allow for initial healing and follow-up appointments. Traveling too soon can increase the risk of complications such as blood clots; consult your surgeon about when it's safe to fly.

How do gummy bear implants compare to other types of breast implants in terms of safety and aesthetics?

Gummy bear implants are known for their cohesive gel that maintains shape better than saline or traditional silicone implants, offering a more natural look and feel. They have a lower risk of rupture but may require a larger incision due to their firmness.

What if I experience complications or need follow-up care after returning home from Thailand?

If complications arise after returning home, contact your Thai surgeon immediately for guidance. Many clinics offer virtual consultations for international patients, and it's also wise to arrange follow-up care with a local healthcare provider before traveling.

How do I verify the qualifications and experience of surgeons performing breast augmentation in Thailand?

Verify a surgeon's qualifications by checking their membership with recognized organizations like the ISAPS. Look for surgeons with extensive experience in breast augmentation and positive patient testimonials.

Are there any hidden costs associated with breast augmentation in Thailand that I should be aware of?

Most clinics offer comprehensive packages that include surgery, hospital stay, medications, and follow-up care. However, always confirm what is included in the quoted price and inquire about additional costs such as travel expenses or extended hotel stays.

What is the recovery process like after getting breast augmentation in Thailand, and how long should I plan to stay?

The initial recovery period for breast augmentation typically lasts 1 to 2 weeks, during which you should remain in Thailand for follow-up appointments. Plan for a total stay of at least 10 to 14 days to allow adequate time for initial healing and any necessary post-operative care.

Will the language barrier affect my communication with the medical team in Thailand?

Many clinics in Thailand employ English-speaking staff or provide translators to assist international patients. It's advisable to confirm language support services before your visit to ensure clear communication throughout your treatment.

How can I ensure the safety and quality of the procedure when traveling abroad for surgery?

To ensure safety and quality, choose a surgeon who is certified by reputable organizations such as the ISAPS. Verify the clinic's accreditation, read patient reviews, and confirm that the facility follows international standards for hygiene and patient care.

What are the potential risks and complications of having breast augmentation with gummy bear implants in Thailand?

Potential risks of breast augmentation with gummy bear implants include infection, implant rupture, capsular contracture, and changes in nipple or breast sensation. These risks are similar globally and can be minimized by choosing a board-certified surgeon and following post-operative care instructions. Always discuss potential complications with your surgeon before proceeding.
