Qualifications
Dr. Alexander Krapivsky is a German board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology with more than 20 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular medicine.
He studied medicine at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and continued his medical career in Germany, including positions at University Hospital Essen, the Heart Center Duisburg and the Department of Cardiology at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Mülheim.
From 2006 to 2015, Dr. Krapivsky worked as a senior cardiologist and headed the cardiac catheterization laboratory, gaining extensive experience in invasive and interventional cardiology. Since 2015, he has been a founder and medical director of Herzquartier, a network of specialized cardiology practices in Düsseldorf, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Mönchengladbach.
His main areas of expertise include cardiovascular prevention and early detection, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, lipid disorders and comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics.
Dr. Krapivsky holds several advanced qualifications from the German Cardiac Society (DGK), including Interventional Cardiology, Active Cardiac Rhythm Devices, Heart Failure and Special Cardiovascular Prevention. He also holds an additional qualification in Lipidology (DGFF) and is trained in Internal Intensive Care Medicine.
He has participated in cardiovascular research and is an author and co-author of scientific publications in internationally recognized medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Clinical Research in Cardiology and EuroIntervention.
A particular focus of his current work is comprehensive cardiovascular check-ups and individualized prevention. His approach combines many years of hospital and interventional cardiology experience with modern outpatient diagnostics, allowing patients to receive both a detailed cardiovascular risk assessment and an individualized prevention and treatment strategy.
Dr. Krapivsky speaks German, Russian and English and regularly treats international patients.
