Gursel Saka

Prof. Dr. Gürsel Saka is a distinguished Orthopaedic and Traumatology Specialist and Professor with extensive clinical experience in joint replacement surgery, arthroplasty, trauma surgery, and complex pelvic and acetabular surgery.

Throughout his academic and clinical career, Prof. Dr. Saka has developed particular expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery, including advanced arthroplasty procedures, as well as the surgical management of complex orthopaedic trauma.

His professional interests encompass hip and knee arthroplasty, joint replacement surgery, trauma surgery, and pelvic-acetabular reconstruction. He has performed numerous successful surgical procedures and is recognized for his contribution to the development of innovative orthopaedic surgical techniques.

In 2014, he was a finalist at the XI TÜBİTAK Technology Awards with his project entitled:

“Development of an Intramedullary Locked Nail for the Medullary Anatomy of the Forearm Bones (Radius and Ulna)”

Prof. Dr. Gürsel Saka was selected as a finalist at the XI TÜBİTAK Technology Awards for his contribution to the development of an innovative intramedullary fixation system designed according to the anatomical characteristics of the radius and ulna.
