Anonymous • Cataract surgery with IOL replacement

During my consultation, the surgeon personally tested my eyes thoroughly and explained which trifocal lens would best suit my lifestyle. The hospital itself was very modern and clean; the doctors, staff, and translator were excellent. My surgery on both eyes went without a hitch. It was very quick and painless. However, Bookimed could have been clearer on the pricing. I was quoted one price but was charged about 40% more, even after I asked the coordinator to confirm the quote was the all-in total. While there were no additional expenses from the clinic and the aftercare guide is excellent, this part was not professional. My advice for future patients is to confirm if the price you are quoted is the real price you will pay.
Very modern and clean hospital , the doctors , staff and translator were excellent . My consultation was thorough everything was checked and everything was explained to me . On the day of the surgery everything went as planned and on time with every doctor and staff friendly and welcoming . The lense replacement went without a hitch and was very quick and painless . The follow up and after care is excellent .
Bookimed could and should have been clear on the pricing as I was quoted one price but ended up been charged about 40% more even after I asked the Bookimed coordinator to confirm the price quoted was an all in total price . Once the hospital gave me the price and I and the hospital contacted the coordinator I was the shown were it stated th price could be between two parameters . Not very professional , I had already read the pricing parameters and was aware I might have to pay more . But again I did ask Bookimed coordinator was the price quoted the total price and I got back the answer yes . Something to think about for the future .
