In 1986, he completed his specialty training in the field of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. After working at Pasteur Hospital between 1986-1990, he worked as Associate Professor and Deputy Director at Selçuk University between 1991-1994.
