He is internationally recognized for beating-heart, minimally invasive mitral valve repair. He trained at major cardiac centers across Europe. He has published many scientific papers and contributed to medical textbooks. He has given more than 100 presentations at national and international meetings. He organizes international valve repair workshops. He advances minimally invasive cardiac surgery through patient care, teaching, and research.

Prof. Dr. Halil Türkoğlu is a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery. He has expertise in coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve repair and replacement, minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, and aortic aneurysm surgery.

His practice includes peripheral vascular surgery, EVAR and TEVAR procedures, carotid surgery, congenital heart surgery, cardiac tumor surgery, and pericardial surgery. He treats both adult and pediatric patients, including those with complex congenital heart defects. He has published research, held academic roles, and is active in national and international professional societies.
