Prof. Dr. İlhan Mavioğlu is a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery and Head of the Cardiovascular Surgery Outpatient Clinic, currently seeing patients at Optimed Healthcare Group / Optimed International Hospital.

Education & Academic Background: Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (Medical Degree, 1990) and completed his Cardiovascular Surgery residency at the Ministry of Health Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital (1996). He advanced his academic career at Mersin University, earning the title of Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery in 2003, and was promoted to Full Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Düzce University in 2012.

Experience: Brings over 35 years of clinical, surgical, and academic expertise across prominent institutions in Turkey and abroad. After serving at S.S.K. Ankara Training Hospital, he gained international cardiovascular surgery fellowship experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London (1995–1996). He has held faculty professorships at Mersin University and Düzce University, served as senior cardiovascular surgeon across leading private hospital groups including Acıbadem Healthcare Group, Medicana, and Irmet Hospital, and managed his private practice in Istanbul before joining Optimed Healthcare Group in 2024.
