Do not go with bookimed.com. I didn’t liked from the moment when I arrived to airport anyone wasn’t there to pick me up, you know when you arrive any place you have no internet and you can’t make any phone calls or text so night mares already start.

I had a 360° VASER liposuction procedure, tummy tuck and abdominal muscle repair, and overall I’ve had a really positive experience from start to finish\. From the very beginning, Bookimed answered every question I had and were incredibly helpful\. No matter what time I messaged, someone was always there to answer my queries and put my mind at ease\. The transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital were excellent, and the instructions for where to go and what to expect were very clear\. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was lovely\. My coordinator, Ege, was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process\. He was always at the end of a message whenever I needed him, kept in constant contact, explained everything clearly, and was always able to reassure me whenever I felt anxious\. At the hospital, I met the anaesthesiologist, who was kind, professional and explained everything clearly\. My surgeon, Dr Ergin Er, was equally reassuring\. He carefully went through the procedure with me, completed all of the markings and made sure I understood what would happen before surgery\. I’ll admit I became quite emotional as I was being taken down to theatre, but the nurses were incredibly kind\. They held my hand, comforted me and made me feel safe, which meant a great deal\. When I woke up after surgery, I was looked after wonderfully\. The nursing staff were attentive throughout my recovery and were always there to help whenever I needed anything\. Even the hospital food was surprisingly lovely\. My mum stayed with me throughout my time in hospital, and she was provided with meals as well, which was a lovely touch\. Before we were discharged, we were both even given breakfast and lunch, which was much appreciated\. There was occasionally a slight language barrier with some of the nurses, but it was never a real problem\. Most spoke good English, and anyone who wasn’t confident simply used a translation app, so communication was always possible\. Throughout my recovery, Ege continued to check in regularly and made sure I knew exactly what I needed to do at each stage\. Although I’m still healing, my scar already looks very neat and tidy, and from everything I’ve seen so far, I’m extremely pleased with the results of my surgery\. I would happily recommend Bookimed, Ege, Istanbul Aesthetics Centre and Dr Ergin Er to anyone considering cosmetic surgery in Turkey\. Travelling abroad for surgery is a big decision, but I felt supported every step of the way and wouldn’t hesitate to choose them again.

Genuinely I can’t think of anything. It’s such a massive decision and the whole time I had full confidence in what was happening and the staff.

I didn’t say I was looking for a cheap clinic; I was looking for high-quality work. The dentist fitted 21 zirconia crowns. I’m not experiencing any discomfort or pain. A brilliant job. Many thanks to the dentist and the interpreter. The transfer service was excellent.

Be sure to check exactly how long it will take the clinic to carry out the dental work. Seven days is the minimum. Do not include the day of arrival or departure of your flight.

Dr Murat Yaman is amazing! Everything went smoothly at the Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the coordinator was great too, so helpful. Great experience. Highly recommend

Coordinator (Ege) is very nice and helpful, nice guy. Dr Ergin was also very relaxed, calm and knowledgeable, so you are put at ease very quickly. You get your own room, and if you have a partner come they are full supported and have a sofa bed there too (I was solo and would recommend not to do it solo)

Really only 2 negatives otherwise very good - Right at the start when the cannula was put in, I told them I was bad with needles / blood / vein related activity, but they didn’t understand. So I had to lay down, but still needed to sign the anaesthesia documents. After 5 mins I got up, went light headed, tried to get back to the bed, past out and banged my head on something as I went down and woke up panicked on the floor alone. This was a translation issue, but it was kind of a shaking experience right at the start. The other was the sleep sedative not working for 2-3 hours, not much sleep nor pain relief at that point.

Dr Victoria did a great job on assisting me with everything making sure all my questions are being answered. She’s been there 24/7 with all then advises and keeping me calm as l had mixed emotions not knowing what to expect but she made everything sound so easy😃❤️. As l travelled she’s been checking on me until l arrived at Istanbul.She then introduced me to Ege who is the hospital Coordinator, he was of great help , he guided me in all the steps and procedures as well as providing transportation to and from the hotel to the hospital..Arrived to the hospital and my doctor Ismail Buyukcayir came and did his test, he was so sweet and you could tell he’s knowledgeable.After the results came out , he then proceeded with the procedure. Procedure was successful.Ege went above and beyond by keeping in touch with my family from when l went for surgery until l woke up .The staff was helpful . The clinic is spotless..Very clean and the bedding is super spot on

The only concern that l had was when you get discharged from the hospital and you still have the drainage pipes on you .As per the hotel package you are entitled to a complementary breakfast BUT NO ROOM SERVICE, that for me it’s a catch because when you come out of hospital you not fit to move around and the fact that you have the pipes on you . I wish they could accommodate such patients because it’s not easy and is not everyone who afford to bring a companion as most of the patients are international….

The coordinator was always available and supported us throughout the entire process, both before and after the operation. Any questions or issues that arose were discussed with a warm welcome and genuine interest. And that really puts you at ease and makes things easier.

I really liked how organised everything was. The schedule was clearly explained and followed well throughout, so I didn’t have to worry or feel stressed. The surgeon was very kind and even joked with me before the operation, which helped me feel more relaxed. I was also able to bring my family, including my young son, and both the hotel and hospital accommodated us really well.

Any questions I had were answered really well. However, after surgery it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming taking in all the information, so an aftercare information sheet, including guidance on dressing removal and recovery advice would be really helpful.

Varvara, a very polite and understanding interpreter, provided us with first-class support. She was always in touch with us, and her positive attitude was a great help to us. And we are very grateful to our doctor, Ergin Er, the very best specialist in his field. My daughter and I had long dreamed of seeing him specifically because I had seen the results of his work. In my opinion, Dr Ergin Er is the very best specialist in his field 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻

I would advise the local staff to be a little more polite and to wear a warm, welcoming smile (like Varvara the interpreter), as everyone’s positive attitude has an impact on the patient.
