If you are looking into this clinic for prostate cancer treatment, I can offer my perspective. The support staff were truly exceptional, making a very difficult situation feel much more manageable, and the clinic facilities were solid. I would say my experience was overall good. However, there were some communication hurdles to navigate. While general language support was adequate, I felt this was a weak point during crucial consultations with the surgeon himself, which led to some uncertainty. This is the main reason for my lower rating for the doctor. It's just something to be prepared for. I am now focused on my recovery.

Dr. Malikgazi was very dedicated and friendly; I would always want to go to him for any future plastic surgery. The hospital is beautiful with very helpful staff, and I thank the interpreters Nurcan and Berk who helped me the entire time. The food was my only issue. The portions were very small, and it was difficult to get more until I insisted. It is still too early to see the final result of my rhinoplasty, which involved a specific technique to change certain parts of my nose. I did have an extra expense for an echocardiogram because of a previous heart surgery. You don't have to bring anything; the hospital and Hotel Uranus are luxury.

He not only answered questions but also thoroughly explained the risks of the combined surgery, honestly assessed my initial data for choosing implant sizes, and justified why a lift with a periareolar incision would be best in my case. I am currently in the recovery stage, and my condition is exactly as I expected after all the explanations. Importantly, there were no additional expenses beyond the amount paid. Everything went according to plan.

The quality of the hospital service is second to none, with well-organised, highly competent services that are always available to patients. Whether it's the doctors, nurses or reception staff, many other hospitals should take inspiration from the Turkish hospital model. The hospitals are like luxury hotels, you feel good, you are looked after and followed throughout your stay. Finally, the money I spent there was really justified. Thank you to everyone who looked after me during my 14-day stay. Of course I recommend Istanbul Memorial Hospital. Antonio. M

My arrival at Istanbul airport was smooth and efficient. I was met and transported to my hotel. My hotel was lovely. Transportation from hotel to hospitals on time and efficient. I met my advocate at international patient area, she had everything under control, all tests lined up and doctor appointments were fabulous. My advocate translated to my language at every appointment. I’m very happy with the service and I felt very “looked after”. My outcome is excellent and I’m so very glad I had the best doctor and best care.

What surprised me most about my basalioma treatment wasn't the procedure itself, but the detailed skin examination I received. The surgeon was excellent. He made sure all removal options were discussed clearly, which was reassuring since I already had my diagnosis before arriving. Right now, the treated area is healing very well. While the medical care was superb and the clinic facilities are great, the administrative staff seemed a bit disorganized, which was the only downside. Despite that, based on the surgeon’s work, it’s a place I would suggest to others.
My Bookimed coordinator was highly skilled, had the passion and patience for her work and that translated to the numerous array of options provided to me to choose from based on my budget during the entire process.She interacted with me 24/7 just for us to have solution within my schedule. All information (proforma, visa assistance, travel guidance and estimated personal expenses) for the entire treatment were on point and I encourage all manner of persons seeking medical treatment abroad to choose Bookimed as their medical tourism partner.
1. Interpreter only come when the patient calls for his services and that is only during the day. If the interpreter can also support beyond the interactions with the specialist. 2. Airport and Internal movement are left to the patient to handle which can sometimes be a major challenge for some category of patients and given the language barrier. 3. Hospital discharges are very strict even if you the patient feels he/she need additional day(s) to be fit for a return to the hotel to continue the recovery.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Memorial Şişli Clinic. I underwent a deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) on my left eye, and I now feel better than I had expected. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the coordinating doctor, Sergey, and Dr Abdallah ÖZCAYA for their expertise and responsible approach. I particularly remember how Dr ÖZCAYA personally checked on me after the operation — this gave me confidence and peace of mind. The clinic was always available, and there were no additional costs. A special thank you to the interpreter, Daniela, for her excellent translation and constant help with communication.

My biggest worry was what recovery would feel like this time, especially after having my old implants for well over ten years. It turned out to be about the same as my first surgery. The surgeon dr ozturk was fantastic, friendly, knowledgable and inspired confidence immediately performing a position adjustment and implant replacement, though it's still hard to compare the final result as surgery was only 5 days ago. The hospital facility was clean and private room was great. My main issue was with the general staff support, which could have been more attentive, having said that whenever I called they attended immediately and were kind. Despite that, the medical care itself was solid, and I'm satisfied with the outcome.
Translator amazing as was Dr Ozturk, friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Co-ordination of transport, Appointments etc smooth
Hospital staff could’ve been more proactive eg not leaving things out of reach, ensuring drinks etc on hand, although having said that they immediately attended any call bells and were kind, I just didn’t want to trouble them more than I needed to.

My main concern before starting treatment was how my body would react to the drug. I’m undergoing a course of Keytruda immunotherapy for kidney cancer, receiving an infusion every three weeks. Yes, I have experienced some side effects. These are mainly digestive issues, and I feel a little more tired. Of course, I am still concerned that these might get worse over time. But I must say that the doctor and all the staff have been very attentive and professional, which gives me confidence that I made the right choice of clinic and treatment process.

My biggest worry was that my nose would look unnatural and that the result wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Now, even though I’m still recovering, I can see that I was worrying for nothing. They removed a small bump, and the bridge of my nose is straighter, just as I’d hoped. I’d also like to mention that the tip of my nose now looks more refined. My breathing has improved too. I think ultrasonic piezorhinoplasty was the right choice. The whole team, from the staff to the surgeon, were very attentive and professional, which helped me feel at ease. I’m very grateful.
We loved everything; the organisation was top-notch. A special thank you to our coordinator, Valentina. They helped us sort everything out and were always on hand. Thank you so much 🙏🏻❗️
