How Much Does Operation by doctor's recommendation Cost in India?

A doctor-recommended operation in India typically costs between $2,800 and $4,300. The final price depends on the specific surgical technique, hospital tier, and city. In the United States, patients pay an average of $9,800 for similar procedures. India provides a country-to-country savings of approximately 63%. Standard packages generally include surgeon fees, anesthesia, and routine post-operative hospital care.

  • Hospital tier: Private corporate facilities in major hubs often cost 40-60% more than regional centers.
  • Technique variation: Minimally invasive or robotic-assisted surgeries typically add a 20-30% premium over traditional open methods.
  • City hubs: Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru represent the primary destinations for high-complexity medical care.
  • Diagnostic preparation: Pre-surgical tests like MRI or CT scans add approximately 5-10% to initial budgets.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a surgeon who operates across multiple platforms offers significant value. For example, Dr. Saurabh Bansal performs complex robotic and laparoscopic surgeries at top-tier centers like Apollo Hospitals. This allows patients to access high-volume expertise (over 11,000 surgeries) within established international safety frameworks. High dental implant success rates, such as the 99.5% documented at Burute Dental Clinic, further demonstrate India's specialized clinical excellence.

The clinic seems to be quite good, but during the operation the cataract of the left eye, which lasted more than three hours, my vision is no more than 15% and I had to do the second operation of the left eye. Although the right eye was operated for 10-12 minutes and vision without glasses is up to 60%
