How Much Does Botox wrinkles Cost in Republic of Korea?

Botox wrinkles in the Republic of Korea typically costs from $15 to $300 depending on the toxin brand, the number of injection areas, and the clinic type. Patients save around 89% compared to the US, where this procedure costs $900 on average. Prices usually include the initial doctor consultation, the injection procedure, and post-treatment care instructions in major beauty hubs like Seoul.

  • Brand selection: Korean-made toxins like Botulax or Nabota are locally produced and cost significantly less.
  • Imported toxins: Premium brands such as Allergan or Xeomin typically carry a 100-200% price premium.
  • Full face treatments: Comprehensive sessions covering multiple zones generally offer better value than single-area pricing.
  • Clinic category: High-volume clinics in Gangnam often provide lower rates than specialized boutique aesthetic centers.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic focused on regenerative therapies and dermatology yields the best long-term results. For instance, BIOFACE Clinic in Seoul is led by specialists who have trained over 300 physicians in advanced injectable techniques. While "factory-style" clinics offer the lowest entry prices, centers with KOIHA accreditation or those led by Seoul National University-trained board-certified specialists provide higher precision without a massive price jump. Many top-tier Seoul clinics now include advanced technologies like Ulthera or skin boosters alongside Botox to enhance the smoothing effect, often providing better value than standalone injections.

That gave me a lot of confidence
I really appreciated the time my doctor took during the consultation for my forehead and frown lines. He was so thorough, explaining exactly where and why he would inject, and was very honest about what realistic results would look like after showing me photos of previous patients. That gave me a lot of confidence. Now in my early recovery, I'm feeling better than expected. It was a good process. The final price was exactly what I was quoted, with no additional expenses. My only note is that there was little contact from the clinic after my appointment, but overall the service was solid.
I’ve love how medical coordinator took care of everything !

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Park and the entire team! From start to finish, everyone—especially Joanne—was incredibly accommodating and attentive, which made me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Park did an incredible job on my breast augmentation. Remarkably, after just one day of recovery, I was able to walk around Seoul, use public transport, and see all the sights I wanted to visit. Although it was slightly uncomfortable at times, I never experienced significant pain beyond the first few hours after waking from anesthesia. I truly believe this speaks to Dr. Park’s precision—and maybe a little to my own fast healing! The clinic goes above and beyond for their patients. I received IV therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all of which made me feel well supported throughout recovery. Dr. Park and the team checked in consistently, which is such a green flag—so different from many experiences in the U.S., where doctors often focus solely on the surgery itself. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here, and my flight back to Hawaii was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Park for anyone seeking attentive, professional care and excellent results.

If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation
If a friend asked me where to go for deep plane facelift 'd tell them about this clinic without hesitation. The process from start to finish was handled with such professionalism. I am still in the early stages of healing, so I am following all the aftercare instructions carefully. The surgeon was thorough, and the entire staff made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for throughout my visit. The facility was also very clean and modern. I am thankful for the support I received from the whole team.
Plenty of communication. One to one english speaking team member. Very attentive staff members who were dealing with me. Surgeon very professional and easy to understand. My bookimed contact Olha was great
Directions to clinic for those who do not use google maps. Taxi do not pick up due to short distance.

FAQ about Botox wrinkles in Republic of Korea

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What are the common side effects of Botox for wrinkles in South Korea?

Side effects of Botox in South Korea are typically mild and localised. Common reactions include temporary bruising, swelling, and mild headaches. Technique-specific results like skin embossing after micro-Botox or eyebrow heaviness are usually short-lived. They resolve as the toxin settles within days or weeks.

  • Injection site reactions: Minor bruising and swelling typically resolve within 2–14 days.
  • Headache symptoms: Mild headaches may occur and usually settle within 24–48 hours.
  • Muscle heaviness: Eyelid or eyebrow drooping can occur but resolves within a few weeks.
  • Skin embossing: Micro-Botox technique causes small bumps that disappear within 12–24 hours.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many clinics like BIOFACE Clinic report zero medical incidents. However, injector skill remains the primary factor in results. Patient data shows that traditional wrinkle Botox and superficial skin Botox have different recovery patterns. Choosing board-certified specialists at high-volume centres like AB Plastic Surgery provides precise placement. This avoids common expression stiffness.

Patient Consensus: Injection pain, particularly during skin Botox, is common but managed well with numbing cream. Mosquito-bite-like bumps and temporary eyelid heaviness can occur in South Korea. However, these issues settle quickly as the treatment takes effect.

How long do the effects of Botox for wrinkles last when treated in South Korea?

Botox effects in South Korea normally last 3 to 4 months for most wrinkle treatments. Results vary based on the specific Korean brand, such as Botulax or Wondertox. They also depend on the injection technique. Standard muscle-relaxing doses last 3 months. However, superficial Skin Botox generally fades within 8 to 12 weeks.

  • Technique impact: Standard wrinkle injections last 3–4 months. Superficial Skin Botox lasts 2–3 months.
  • Brand variations: Korean toxins like Botulax typically show results within 1 week and last 3 months.
  • Clinic volume: AB Plastic Surgery in Seoul serves 24,000+ patients annually with specialised anti-ageing departments.
  • Surgeon expertise: Specialists like Dr Yeom Jihye at Forena Clinic have performed 14,000+ aesthetic procedures.
  • Longevity factors: High muscle activity or faster metabolism can reduce effects to roughly 5–9 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many expect 4+ months. However, data from Seoul clinics shows most patients return for top-ups at the 3-month mark. Board-certified dermatologists at BIOFACE Clinic or Forena Clinic often suggest this. First-time patients may see shorter durations than those maintaining regular treatment schedules.

Patient Consensus: Expect Korean Botox to last approximately 3 months. However, some brands may vary significantly in the brow area. Patients travelling to South Korea suggest confirming the specific brand used. Results for some products can range from 1 to 6 months.

What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers for treating wrinkles in South Korea?

Botox relaxes facial muscles to soften expression lines, while dermal fillers restore volume to deeper folds and sagging skin. Seoul clinics specialise in hybrid approaches. They often combine muscle Botox for movement lines with skin Botox or hyaluronic acid fillers. This creates a dewy, youthful texture.

  • Targeted action: Botox treats dynamic wrinkles from movement; fillers address static creases visible at rest.
  • Dermotoxin trend: Skin Botox is injected superficially to shrink pores and improve skin quality.
  • Popular locations: Surgeons routinely use fillers for lip augmentation, cheek volume, and jawline contouring.
  • Expected results: Botox takes 3–14 days to work; filler results appear immediately after injection.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Korean clinics offer a unique distinction between standard muscle Botox and dermotoxin (skin Botox). Muscle Botox stops movement to prevent deep lines. However, clinicians at high-volume centres like BIOFACE Clinic use dermotoxin. This achieves the famous glass skin effect. It targets pores and texture rather than just muscles.

Patient Consensus: Patients find Korean-made brands like Letybo and Nabota highly effective and more affordable than imported options. Many recommend asking for skin Botox specifically. This targets refined texture rather than just smoothing forehead lines or crow's feet.

Where are the best places to get Botox for wrinkles in South Korea?

Seoul is the primary destination for Botox. It has the highest concentration of specialised clinics in Gangnam and Myeongdong. Leading centres like AB Plastic Surgery hold KAHF certification for international patient safety. Forena Clinic specialises in high-volume anti-ageing treatments using FDA-approved products.

  • Premier hubs: Gangnam and Myeongdong offer the most clinics including AB Plastic Surgery and Forena.
  • Experienced specialists: Dr Yeom Jihye at Forena Clinic has performed over 14,000 aesthetic procedures.
  • Safety certifications: AB Plastic Surgery holds KAHF international safety certification and Ministry of Health approval.
  • High-volume centres: Forena Clinic serves 20,000 patients annually and features in major fashion publications.
  • Advanced diagnostics: Lalian Cheongdam Clinic uses 3D MetaView skin analysis for precise 1:1 treatment planning.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many travellers seek budget-friendly beauty hubs. However, the most experienced injectors often work at clinics that combine surgery and aesthetics. Specialists at AB Plastic Surgery maintain an anaesthetist ratio double the industry average. This signals a higher clinical standard even for minor injectable treatments.

Patient Consensus: Visitors recommend Gangnam for convenience and Myeongdong for English support at clinics like Lienjang. Patients suggest comparing several consultations in South Korea. They also recommend asking to see the product vial before treatment starts.
