It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!
The attending doctors are both very professional.
Medical staff lacks the professional etiquettes

I went to this clinic to get medical care. The very high price could be justified by this type of treatment. The medical team were present, but no parameters were taken either before or after the treatment. I don't think that customer satisfaction is the objective, the aim is above all to make people spend money unnecessarily. I would not recommend this clinic

I'm pleased I went there
Well it's been about a month and I'm still recovering but I'm pleased I went there.
The people were nice
What I didn't like wasn't to do with the place or people. I went through quite a painful procedure getting rid of rather a lot of moles and I almost wished I hadn't when I was in pain. It's all changed now that I'm healing.

FAQ about Botox wrinkles in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What areas of the face are commonly treated with Botox for wrinkles?

Botox is frequently used to address dynamic wrinkles, particularly in the upper face. Common treatment areas include forehead lines, glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), and crow's feet (lines around the eyes). These areas respond well due to the muscle activity involved in facial expressions.

How long do Botox results for wrinkle treatment typically last?

Botox effects usually become noticeable within 3 to 5 days post-injection, with peak results around 1 to 2 weeks. The smoothing effect on wrinkles generally lasts between 3 to 6 months, depending on individual factors. Regular maintenance sessions are recommended to sustain the desired appearance.

Are there alternatives to Botox for wrinkle treatment?

Yes, alternatives include other botulinum toxin type A products like Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. Each has unique properties; for instance, Xeomin is a "naked" injectable without accessory proteins, potentially reducing the risk of antibody development. The choice depends on individual needs and should be discussed with a qualified provider.

What are the potential side effects of Botox injections for wrinkles?

Common side effects are generally mild and may include temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. Less commonly, patients might experience headaches or eyelid drooping. Serious complications are rare when the procedure is performed by an experienced professional.

Which clinics in Thailand offer Botox treatments for wrinkles?

Based on the Bookimed ranking, the top clinics are:

  • Dr. Chen Clinic
  • Anjali Clinic
  • ASIA CLINIC
  • DR.REVIVE IV THERAPY & ANTI-AGING (Nan Ah Hospital Branch)
  • Wansiri Hospital
  • Reverie Clinic
  • MedConsult Bangkok Medical Clinic

All listed clinics are featured on Bookimed and reviewed by international patients.

Who is legally allowed to administer Botox in Thailand?

Only licensed medical doctors with a valid Thai Medical Council license can legally administer Botox. In Thailand, Botox is a regulated medical procedure. Nurses and assistants may help. However, a doctor must perform every injection. Clinics must have a Ministry of Public Health license.

  • Licensed physicians: Only doctors with Thai Medical Council registration may perform aesthetic injections.
  • Facility standards: Procedures must take place in clinics licensed by the Department of Health.
  • Product regulation: Practicing doctors only use brands approved by the Thai FDA.
  • Medical supervision: A licensed doctor must be physically present at the clinic during treatment.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Leading practitioners often pursue post-graduate training in South Korea or Europe. For example, Dr. Chen Chaicharncheep at Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital International Center holds an International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science. He also completed a specialized workshop on Botulinum Toxin applications. These international qualifications often exceed local requirements.

Patient Consensus: Patients mention feeling safer when the doctor opens the original Botox packaging before them. They notice clinics often display the physician's license on the wall. Patients say they appreciate it when doctors explain the injection points in detail.

How can I verify a doctor's credentials for Botox in Thailand?

Qualified Botox doctors in Thailand hold Thai Medical Council licenses and often possess international certifications. You can confirm expertise by looking for board certifications in dermatology or plastic surgery. Many practitioners obtain further training from prestigious institutions in the US, Japan, or South Korea.

  • Board certifications: Top specialists hold American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) credentials.
  • Professional memberships: Leading doctors are active members of the Thai Dermatological Society.
  • Specialized training: Look for fellowships from institutions like Juntendo University or Mt Sinai Hospital.
  • Facility standards: Reputable clinics maintain JCI or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditations.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows that premier Thai clinics often have doctors with dual international training. For instance, Dr. Kittiphat Rassameejarukit and Dr. Sasinan Rassameejarukit both hold ABAARM board certifications. They also completed dermatology programs in Japan. This mix of Western and Asian aesthetic training is a common trait among high-rated practitioners in Bangkok.

Patient Consensus: Patients note they felt more comfortable after seeing original, sealed Botox boxes. They often mention that doctors in Bangkok explain the specific injection points and expected units clearly. Many were relieved to see the doctor's license displayed prominently in the clinic.

Will my doctor speak English?

Aesthetic doctors in Thailand typically speak English. Most leading specialists hold international degrees from the US, UK, or Japan. This global training ensures they can discuss treatment goals clearly. Clinics in medical hubs like Bangkok focus on serving international patients with expert English communication.

  • International training: Many doctors hold dermatology diplomas from Boston or Cardiff University.
  • Global fellowships: Specialists often complete fellowships at Mt Sinai Hospital in Miami.
  • Scientific participation: Top surgeons attend major events like the IMCAS World Congress in Paris.
  • Clinic accreditation: Facilities often hold JCI accreditation, requiring staff to support international patients.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows Thai aesthetic doctors often possess multiple international certifications. Dr. Pimchya Panichkul trained in the US, Germany, and Korea. Dr. Tanaporn Eiamprapai holds a Master's from Cardiff University. This level of cross-border education ensures high English proficiency among specialists.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that doctors in Bangkok clinics explain procedures in clear English. They feel comfortable discussing specific facial concerns and expected results. This clear communication helps them feel relaxed throughout the Botox treatment journey.

What happens during a consultation with a Thai Botox doctor?

A Botox consultation in Thailand involves a medical assessment and facial mapping. Doctors evaluate your muscle movements during specific expressions. They review your goals and medical history. You will discuss product options like Allergan or Dysport. Clinics often show unopened vials to ensure authenticity.

  • Facial mapping: Doctors observe muscle movement when you smile or frown.
  • Brand selection: Specialists recommend US, UK, or Korean Botox brands.
  • Dose planning: Your doctor determines the precise units needed for results.
  • Photo documentation: Staff take photos to track your facial rejuvenation progress.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many Thai specialists possess advanced international training in aesthetic science. Dr. Chen Chaicharncheep at Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital completed cadaver workshops in Italy. Dr. Pimchya Panichkul at Charismma Clinic holds a US diploma in dermatology. These doctors apply global techniques to create natural expressions during Botox treatments.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that doctors are very thorough during the initial checkup. They appreciate seeing the QR codes on the product boxes for peace of mind. Many were surprised by how little time the actual injections took after the detailed planning.

How do Thai doctors guarantee authentic Botox?

Thai doctors guarantee authentic Botox by performing transparent preparation and digital verification in your presence. Reliable clinics display unopened boxes with Thai FDA labels and holographic seals. Doctors typically mix the solution in front of you to confirm the products origin and concentration.

  • Sealed box inspection: Doctors show unopened boxes with valid Thai FDA registration numbers and distributor names.
  • Digital lot verification: Patients scan QR codes on the packaging to verify authenticity with official importers.
  • Visual product check: Authentic Botox appears as a dry, crystallized film before mixing with saline.
  • Official clinic licensing: Licensed facilities display an 11-digit Ministry of Public Health permit at the entrance.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Top aesthetic doctors in Thailand often hold international fellowships to master precision. Dr. Chen Chaicharncheep at Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital attended fresh cadaver workshops for Botulinum toxin. This advanced training helps doctors deliver natural results while ensuring the safest injection protocols for every patient.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that doctors at clinics like Charismma Clinic or Asia Cosmetic Hospital are very open. They appreciate seeing the doctor open the box and mix the Botox right at the bedside. It makes people feel much more relaxed knowing the medicine is genuine.

Are there international doctors practicing Botox in Thailand?

Thailand hosts many internationally trained specialists and foreign practitioners licensed to provide Botox treatments. Most top-tier aesthetic clinics in Bangkok and Chiang Mai employ physicians with credentials from the US, UK, and Korea. These doctors often hold board certifications from both Thailand and international medical bodies.

  • Global training: Doctors like Dr. Pimchya Panichkul completed fellowships at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami.
  • International certifications: Specialists often hold American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) certification.
  • Asian expertise: Practitioners like Dr. Chen Chaicharncheep have mini-fellowships from Seoul, South Korea.
  • European exposure: Many leading injectors attended advanced cadaver workshops in Italy or France for precision.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows a strong trend of Thai doctors pursuing dual international specializations to serve diverse patients. For example, Dr. Sasinan Rassameejarukit and Dr. Kittiphat Rassameejarukit both hold Japanese dermatology certificates alongside US anti-aging boards. This combination allows them to balance skin health with precise aesthetic muscle preservation techniques.

Patient Consensus: Visitors note that English-speaking doctors with international backgrounds often provide more natural results. One traveler noted their western-trained injector helped them avoid a frozen look common in other clinics. Patients observe that while international branding is high, it is vital to confirm the doctor personally performs the injection.

As a result, 36,673 medical facilities provide excellent medical care in the country. 64 centers in the Kingdom have certificate of JCI (Joint Commission International), the international improver of healthcare quality and safety across the globe. Most tourists choose 4 and 5 star hotels with all-inclusive meals. Such hotels have everything for a comfortable stay: varied food, a large well-groomed territory, animation for children and adults. Some hotels have their own water park, which guests can use for free. Budget travelers can afford to book an economical 3-star hotel with half board or no meals at all.

When is the best time to travel to Thailand?

The main advantage of Thai resorts is the long beach season. On the east coast and west coast the climate features are different, so take it into account when planning the trip. The best time to travel is during the cool and dry season between November and early April. A large influx of tourists is in March-May, when the air temperature is +30°C.
