The doctor began their medical career as an intern in surgery and traumatology at Clínica Sant Jordi in 1983, followed by a position as a physician with the Mutua Catalana de Accidentes in Barcelona. They continued gaining experience as a medical intern at Hospital General de Catalunya and as a resident physician in general surgery at Hospital de Sant Jaume i Santa Magdalena. Specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, they served as a consultant at Clínica Sant Josep and Hospital General in Manresa.
