He gave me excellent advice, then examined my jawbone using an X-ray, and after a further 45 minutes, the two implants were professionally and perfectly in place! What surprised me most was how quickly the whole procedure was over. I’d expected to spend at least four hours in the dentist’s chair, but my dentist finished in less than two. During that time, he removed a number of decayed teeth with great professionalism and fitted 10 Nobel Biocare implants. He personally consulted with me before the operation and carried it out himself. I now feel better than I expected. The clinic is always on hand, which is very important during the recovery period. If you’re considering a dental implant, here are my honest impressions from the initial healing phase. I had a Straumann implant with a diameter of 4.8 mm fitted, and the whole process went very smoothly. I’m not experiencing any discomfort. The gum tissue around the implant is healing visibly well, and I have no problems chewing as long as I take care to avoid hard foods – which is currently the biggest adjustment. The care provided by the surgeon and the entire staff was consistently professional and well organised.
