How Much Does Neurological Rehabilitation Cost in Bangkok?

Neurological rehabilitation in Bangkok typically costs from $14,000 / ฿476,000 to $24,500 / ฿833,000. Total costs depend on the diagnosis, whether care is inpatient or outpatient, and the use of robotic technologies like wearable exoskeletons. Patients save around 91% compared to the US, where similar programs cost $37,500 / ฿1,275,000 on average. Packages in Bangkok often include 24-hour nursing, specialized nutrition, and physician-supervised therapy sessions.

  • Stroke rehabilitation: $12,500 / ฿425,000 to $27,000 / ฿918,000 for intensive multi-week recovery programs.
  • Rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury: $19,500 / ฿663,000 to $36,000 / ฿1,224,000 for complex neurological care.
  • Multiple sclerosis rehabilitation: $6,800 / ฿231,200 to $14,200 / ฿482,800 focused on managing chronic symptoms.
  • Outpatient rehabilitation per day: $100 / ฿3,400 to $400 / ฿13,600 for daily clinical therapy sessions.
  • Robotic-assisted therapy: Often adds a 20-30% premium for specialized gait training equipment.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok clinics dominate Thailand's neurological landscape by integrating robotic gait training with personalized care models. While JCI-accredited giants like Bumrungrad International Hospital offer high-tech diagnostics, specialized centers like PYONG Rehabilitation Group provide lower costs without sacrificing technology. They use wearable exoskeletons and rTMS therapies designed by board-certified physiatrists. This approach ensures high-intensity recovery typically unavailable in smaller regional centers.

Thank you for all your help, you have been wonderful
The hospital were great and lots of pluses for extra treatments. Stephen is doing fine and the rehabilitation helped in small ways. The only thing I would say is the rooms are pretty average—especially bathrooms if someone is looking for something more modern, Navamin is not it! Plus it is so busy that things happen at break neck speed which we found it hard to keep up with at times. Thank you for all your help, you have been wonderful.
