I chose not to use the services at all. I was working with book med for months looked at the pictures of the hospital, but when I got there and actually saw the hospital, it was dirty. The room where you take. The pictures looks dirty unorganized so what would the operating room look like? I pay the consultant fee, but the doctor never touched me. Never put his hands on me. Just looked at my pictures and I'm in the room so you need to fix that.
The person dealing with me, I believe her name was Donna was very nice
I didn't make anything else very unprofessional. It was like the doctor didn't have time yet. You want to cut on me very unprofessional he was unprofessional looks sloppy. Yeah I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
About Bookimed service
Tiffany and Whitington, the coordinators were fine. Got all the information. It was the dirtiness of the hospital and the unprofessionalism of the doctor. He looks sloppy like he didn't have time like I said before he never even touched me so I paid a consultation fee for a conversation about nothing, not happy

My results are better than I could've ever expected and I'm so in love with my new body!
Surgeon and nurses were incredible in every way. My results are better than I could've ever expected and I'm so in love with my new body! Hospital was very clean and comfortable. Wasn't happy with the director she was rude and confused everyone by taking over the surgeon and myself. Other than that the experience was perfect and I would recommend.

But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️
Ice was one of the nurses who collected me from the airport. She was so kind for waiting nearly two hours for me due to a delay I had. She helped me so much after my surgery too. Another nurse Marge was wonderful. She helped with translation and my aftercare, she was so gentle when helping take out my stitches. I thank all of the nursing staff, they were all wonderful in their own way and treated me very well. I wish I could have spoken with the doctor more, he always seemed in a rush, I know he is a very busy man but if he could slow down just a bit it would help the patient care factor improve. But overall I'm really happy with my experience with the ID Clinic team ☺️ I only took two pictures of the inside of my overnight room, the clinic was very clean and comfortable and beautiful 🙏
The staff and nurses were exceptional!
Not enough conversation with the doctor, he seemed in a hurry

I'm very impressed with the outcome
I'm very impressed with the outcome. Bookimed assistant was helpful and arrange a virtual consultation with the consultant. While English was not his strong fort, his expertise made up for it. The staff, especially Margi was extremely valuable as she speaks fluently English. Her knowledge and expertise was well appreciated as well as her care and attentiveness. The staff was nice. I did rhinoplasty and liposuction and I'll very impressed with the outcome. Post op care was provided. The nose did not hurt post op in comparison with the liposuction, which was quite uncomfortable. Not painful, numb and tender I suppose. As to the cost, it's fairly competitive.
The expertise
More English speakers would have been nice.

The process was far more involved than we expected, however, we didn’t know what to expect. We’re probably happy. We didn’t realize that is a rather substantial procedure. The medical testing part takes almost an entire day, so don’t plan anything else on that day. Surgery takes about a half day and you’ll be wiped out the following day as well, so no plans is a good idea. You’ll wear a compression sleeve around your face for over a week, so we packed lightweight, hooded sun, shirts, and that worked well. we had our sutures removed at eight days, but 10 days would’ve been better, so you have to plan at least 10 days after your surgery before you leave Bangkok.

Everything went very easily, the case when you are dealing with highly qualified specialists
Hello everyone, There was a problem with gynecomastia in the left breast. I saw an advertisement from the “bookimed” campaign on the Internet, after which I read the reviews (which aroused confidence) and contacted “Bookimed”, the company's managers were sympathetic to my situation and coordinated with Elena who works at B.care medical clinic (in Bangkok) . Elena clearly and clearly explained how we can eliminate this problem, after which I came for a consultation, having done an ultrasound scan, sent blood tests and after consulting with Elena and a Thai surgeon, gynecomastia in the left breast was confirmed, it was decided to operate. I arrived at the clinic on the morning of the operation, Elena and a team of Thai nurses prepared everything clearly and after 2-3 hours the doctor began the operation under local anesthesia, the operation lasted 1 hour + -, everything was professional, Elena's support was present even during the operation (tk I didn’t sleep), after the operation, I spent one more day at the hospital in the clinic (the room is very comfortable, the conditions and communication from the staff are at a high level - shower, food, cleaning, Elena and nurses visit to control my condition). Everything went very easily, the case when you are dealing with highly qualified specialists. Elena, thank you for organizing and coordinating the preparatory, operational and postoperative working moments and for maintaining morale during the operation!

Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend
I am happy with the expertise provided by the doctor. He understood and have my needs by explaining his technique in tummy tuck and liposuction and compared other techniques he has used before. Shout out to Ice and Marj who went above and beyond to put me at ease with my procedures. The hotel inclusive of the package was a great touch in being closer to the doctor for pain relief and further enquiries. The doctor structured procedures in different days to ensure that the body can heal between procedures. I will be happy with the result once scarring and swelling have subsided. Thank you ID Clinic, I highly recommend.
That doctor has been in practice for long and knew the best technique to use.
The lack in providing a clear structure of what to expect post healing of which a checklist can be provided to the patient abd provide assurance and further understanding.
About Bookimed service
Bookimed response time was efficient and they communicated to the clinics which they had referred me to about my concerns and pricing. They provided me with 5% off and $100US from procedures from referals that I gave. A middle person is required to advocate for me during tough healing situations.

For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Travelled all the way from Singapore to Thailand because of the great reviews I read online. Here's what I experienced: There was no pain at all during the surgery. By day 6, I was moving around just fine (I did my surgery on a Saturday and flew back to Singapore the following Friday with no issues, even while carrying my luggage). By day 9, all the pain was gone, and I could carry my heavy school bag to school the whole day without any problem. I was honestly quite surprised at how fast I recovered, especially after reading that some people take one to three months to fully recover. That's one of the main reasons I recommend this clinic. The breast implants turned out really well. For real I have 0 complaint at all! Highly recommend!
Today is the 9th day from the day of my surgery and I’m alrdy recovered from the painfulness.
No complain at all, all good

I had my surgery at B.care on Bukimed's recommendation. Before the surgery, I asked the doctor 3 times what complications there could be, but the interpreter and (assistant surgeon) "did not understand the question" said that there could be problems "ONLY if I do not do massage after surgery. After my breast augmentation, my pocket tore and my implant went down. The doctor told me to wear a rubber band from the post-operative underwear - on top, which provoked the breast drooping even more. Then I was taken to the breast correction, which was done under local anesthesia, just injected the breast with Ledocoin, cut the stitches, tightened and sewed back. It was very painful and I experienced a huge amount of stress that I still remember to this day. This kind of surgery should be under general anesthesia. After the correction, I have again lowered one breast, of course, not so much, but still, very ugly looks. Also initially the doctor placed the implants very low, because of this there is little volume on top, it looks like not round but drop-shaped implant (which does not fit my body type). All postoperative rules and recommendations and followed, wore underwear and massages. The doctor said that this is because I "lay on the chest" shifting the responsibility on me. But, to surf I was allowed in 2.5 months, and there you need to lie on the chest. I learned about the fact that you can not lie on the chest for a year, when I had a torn pocket. I do not recommend the clinic and the surgeon. Very disappointed.

All You Need to Know about Tummy tuck in Thailand

What Is a Tummy Tuck?

A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty surgery, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that removes excess fat and skin from the abdominal area and tightens the abdominal muscles. It results in a smoother, firmer appearance of a stomach.

Patients choose this surgery after significant weight loss or multiple pregnancies, as it can address the sagging skin and stubborn fat that diet and exercise alone can’t fix. It’s about restoring not just your body but your self-confidence, too.

Abdominoplasty significantly improves quality of life, as shown by an 83% completion rate of follow-up assessments in a study of 64 women.

Key benefits included:

-enhanced body satisfaction;

- self-esteem;

- sexual functioning;

- and mental health;

-depression symptoms, drive for thinness, and bulimia decreased notably, with the overall risk of eating disorders significantly reduced. T

✅This demonstrates the procedure’s profound positive impact on physical and psychological well-being.

Types of Tummy Tucks

💠Mini tummy tuck. Focuses only on the lower abdomen below the belly button, ideal for minor excess loose skin and fat. It’s less invasive with a shorter recovery time.

💠Full tummy tuck. Covers the entire abdominal area, removing significant skin and fat while tightening the abdominal muscles. It’s more extensive and suitable for larger corrections.

💠Belt lipectomy. Belt lipectomy is a comprehensive body contouring procedure that goes beyond the abdomen, addressing loose skin and fat around the entire waistline, including the lower back and hips.

Tummy Tuck Surgery Overview

This procedure helps patients achieve a smoother, firmer look, boosting appearance and confidence. Here’s a quick look at how it works:

Step Details
Consultation The surgeon evaluates goals and health.
Anesthesia General anesthesia or local, depending on the type.
Procedure Incision, skin removal, muscle tightening.
Post-surgery Sutures, drainage tubes, and compression garments.
Recovery Light activity in 2-3 weeks; full recovery in 6 weeks.

Who May Consider a Tummy Tuck?

✅ Suitable Patients:

  • Those with excess skin and fat after weight loss or pregnancy.

  • Patients with weakened abdominal muscles or loose skin.

  • Individuals are at a stable weight and in good health.

  • Non-smokers or those willing to stop before and after the procedure.

  • Patients with realistic expectations about results and recovery.

The survey revealed generational differences in the uptake of tummy tuck procedures in Thailand. Gen X (aged 43–58) and Gen Z (aged 12–26) show the highest interest, with 18% and 17% respectively having undergone the procedure. This suggests that younger and middle-aged groups are more open to medical tourism and cosmetic surgery. In contrast, Baby Boomers (aged 59–77) at 6% and Gen Y (aged 27–42) at 9% exhibit much lower participation, likely due to generational attitudes, financial priorities, or health concerns.

❌ Not Suitable for:

  • Patients planning future pregnancies or further weight loss.

  • Those with unmanaged conditions like diabetes or heart issues.

  • Smokers or those unable to stop.

  • Individuals are unable to follow post-op care, such as avoiding strenuous activities.

💡 A consultation with a plastic surgeon is essential to determine if a tummy tuck procedure is right for you.

Tummy Tuck Recovery Process In Detail

Phase What to Expect Tips for Recovery
First Few Days 🛌 Hospital stay for 1–2 days, pain managed with medication, drainage tubes may be used. Rest and take prescribed painkillers. Walk lightly to prevent blood clots.
First Week 🩹 Swelling and mild discomfort, focus on wound care, and wear a compression garment. Follow wound care instructions and wear compression garments consistently.
Weeks 2–4 🏃‍♀️ Swelling reduces, mobility improves, bruising fades, stitches may dissolve or be removed. Resume light activities but avoid overexertion. Attend follow-up check-ups.
Weeks 6+ 🌟 Most patients return to work and light exercise; scars start fading. Avoid strenuous activities until cleared. Use scar creams if recommended.

What Are The Potential Risks of Tummy Tuck?

🚨While a tummy tuck procedure is generally safe when performed by an experienced plastic surgeon, it's essential to understand the potential risks.

Risks to be aware of

  1. Blood clots (deep vein thrombosis) 🩸. Prolonged immobility can lead to dangerous clots; these require immediate medical attention.

  2. Fluid buildup (seroma) 💧. Accumulation of excess fluid under the skin may need drainage to avoid complications.

  3. Infection 🦠. Improper wound care can lead to infection, requiring antibiotics or further treatment.

  4. Scarring 🩹. While scarring along the bikini line is common, some patients may experience thicker or raised scars.

  5. Delayed healing 🕒. Smoking, diabetes, or poor circulation may prolong recovery and increase complications.

  6. Anesthesia complications 💉. Rare but possible, these may occur during surgery, especially in patients with underlying health issues.

A review on abdominoplasty management shows that local complications, such as hematoma and seroma, occur in 10–20% of cases, while systemic issues are rare, affecting fewer than 1% of patients.

Tips to avoid risks

Minimizing risks after a tummy tuck is crucial for a smooth recovery.

  1. Stay active 🚶‍♂️. Take gentle walks early in recovery to prevent blood clots. However, it is better to avoid strenuous exercise during the healing process.

  2. Follow wound сare instructions 🧼. Clean and monitor the incision area to avoid infection.

  3. Wear compression garments 🩳. Reduce swelling and support your abdominal area during healing.

  4. Avoid smoking 🚭. Stop smoking at least six weeks before and after surgery to promote proper recovery.

  5. Choose a skilled surgeon 🩺. Ensure your surgeon is certified and experienced in tummy tuck procedures.

  6. Attend follow-ups 🗓️. Regular check-ups with your surgeon help address potential issues early.
