Prof. Dr. Suna Emir graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. She completed her pediatrics residency at Hacettepe University from 1990 to 1995. In 2001, she finished her pediatric oncology subspecialty at the Hacettepe University Oncology Institute. She became an Associate Professor in 2004. From 2004 to 2009, she worked at Ankara Dışkapı Children's Health and Diseases Training and Research Hospital and founded the Pediatric Oncology Clinic there. In 2009, she served as Deputy Chief of Pediatric Oncology. From 2009 to 2016, she was a pediatric hematology–oncology training officer at the Ankara Children's Health and Diseases Hematology–Oncology Training and Research Hospital. Since 2019, she has been a Professor and founding faculty member in Child Health and Diseases at Atilim University.
She is an expert in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology–oncology. She is active in residency and subspecialty training. Her clinical interests include childhood diseases from birth to 18 years, lymphoma, solid tumors, autologous bone marrow transplantation, anemia, bleeding disorders, hereditary blood diseases, hemangiomas and other benign tumors, and enlarged lymph nodes.
