How Much Does Brain tumor removal Cost in Istanbul?

Brain tumor removal in Istanbul typically costs from $14,500 to $35,000 depending on the tumor location, required surgical technique, and the length of intensive care recovery. Patients save around 93% compared to the US, where this procedure costs $350,000 on average. Standard medical packages usually include the neurosurgical procedure, general anesthesia, pre-operative examinations, hospital stay, and airport-to-clinic transfers.

  • Hospitalization and ICU: Prices include 5 to 13 days of inpatient stay depending on the surgical complexity.
  • Advanced neuro-navigation: Use of intraoperative MRI or neuro-navigation typically adds 20-50% to the base surgery price.
  • Surgeon expertise: Fees vary based on the specialist experience, with professors often commanding higher premiums for complex cases.
  • Hospital tier: Rates at JCI-accredited global hubs like Anadolu Medical Center reflect their affiliation with institutions like Johns Hopkins.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Istanbul is Turkey's primary neurosurgical hub, concentrating the highest volume of JCI-accredited facilities such as Memorial Şişli and Medipol Mega. A significant advantage here is the availability of intraoperative MRI and O-arm imaging, which enhances tumor resection precision. Clinics like Anadolu Medical Center offer specialized packages with up to 13 hospital days included, ensuring stable post-operative monitoring at no extra cost.

We felt fully confident knowing we were in the hands of one of the best in his field
World-Class Neurosurgical Care and Compassion We are profoundly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Professor Ilhan Elmaci. His expertise, professionalism, and compassionate approach were evident from our very first meeting. Professor Elmaci performed the surgery to remove a medulloblastoma with extraordinary precision and care, and we felt fully confident knowing we were in the hands of one of the best in his field. Beyond his remarkable surgical skill, Professor Elmaci took the time to explain each step of the process with clarity and patience. He was always available to answer questions and offer reassurance, treating both the patient and our family with deep empathy and respect. A heartfelt thank you to Coordinator Alisher, who supported us at every step. He was always responsive, attentive, and truly dedicated to the patient’s well-being. From organizing the transfer and handling all special requirements to keeping the family updated and arranging medical needs, he made a difficult time much more manageable. The hospital staff was professional, kind, and caring throughout. We deeply appreciate the high level of expertise and personal attention that made all the difference in this journey.

Dr
I am not the patient, but a friend to the family. Dr. Leila, of Bookimed, has been constantly there to expedite the process of helping Br. Zakariya to o get his medical treatment. She was available during times when she was not even supposed to be working. Dr. Leila is truly an asset to Bookimed, and I feel blessed to have had her on the team.
When the patient was stuck at the airport, and Dr. Leila saw that he, and his brother received the tickets needed to fly to Sivas.
I feel that there needs to be someone stationed at the airport to escort international patients directly to their gate, andon to their flight. The airport personnel were not very helpful.
About Bookimed service
I feel that Dr. Leila went beyond her job responsibilities, and that she deserves compensation from the company for her high-level of professionalism.

Gratitude to all the nurses and all the staff, led by the doctors
We was at Memorial ATASEHIR hospital and NOT at Memorial Sisli hospital. Since we stayed longer than planned due to real needs, we became like a kind of extended family during that time. Gratitude to all the nurses and all the staff, led by the doctors
Their whole approach to patients is very human, in the sense that they don't see you as just a body, but a human being with a soul as God created him, something that is hard to experience in the west...so probably that's something special that needs single out.
only knowledge of foreign languages for ordinary staff, even though we had fun communicating like this :)
