How Much Does Cheek implants Cost in Turkey?

Cheek implants in Turkey typically cost from $1,300 to $3,100. The final price depends on the implant material, surgeon expertise, and the complexity of the facial structure. In the United States, patients often pay around $9,500 for similar procedures. By choosing Turkey, patients can save approximately 77%. Most Turkish packages include the surgical fees, high-quality implants, hospital stay, and VIP transfers.

  • Implant material: Porous polyethylene typically costs more than silicone due to its tissue-integrated properties.
  • Clinical location: Medical hubs like Istanbul and Ankara often feature premium pricing compared to Antalya.
  • Combined procedures: Adding a chin implant or facelift increases total cost but offers package-wide savings.
  • Surgeon certification: Specialists with international memberships like ISAPS or EBOPRAS often command a 20% premium.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a clinic like Memorial Şişli, the first in Turkey to earn Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, ensures institutional reliability. For high-volume aesthetic expertise, Quartz Hospital performs about 6,500 procedures annually under ISAPS-certified leadership. Patients should look for clinics offering advanced 3D imaging for surgical planning, which helps visualize results before the procedure begins.

Cheek implants in Turkey: Your Travel Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Turkey
  • Upon landing in Turkey, you will be greeted by a VIP transfer service at the airport. You should aim to arrive on morning flights to allow ample time for pre-surgery procedures.
  • You will be transferred to your hotel, where you will stay for the duration of your trip. Accommodation includes breakfast and is typically arranged for 5-7 nights, depending on the clinic's package.
  • Rest and acclimate to the new environment. It is essential to relax and mentally prepare for the upcoming procedure.
Day 2: Pre-Surgery Consultation and Tests
  • You need to visit the clinic for a detailed consultation with your plastic surgeon. This is the time to address any lingering questions or concerns you might have about the cheek implants procedure.
  • Undergo necessary pre-operative tests, including blood tests and possibly an ECG, to ensure you are fit for surgery.
  • Discuss the specific type of cheek implants that will be used. Options may include alloplastic implants or procedures such as malar enlargement surgery or buccal fat extraction.
  • Complete any remaining administrative tasks, such as finalizing payments. Note that 500 EUR banknotes are not accepted in Turkey.
  • Follow pre-surgery instructions, such as refraining from eating or drinking 8 hours before the surgery.
Day 3: Surgery Day
  • Arrive at the clinic or hospital for the surgery. You will be under the care of a medical team that includes your surgeon and an anesthesiologist.
  • The surgery may involve various techniques such as the use of cheek implants or facial fat injection. The specific procedure will have been determined during your consultation.
  • Post-surgery, you will spend the night in the hospital under 24-hour nurse supervision to ensure your immediate recovery is monitored closely.
Day 4-6: Post-Surgery Recovery
  • Return to your hotel, where you will continue your recovery. The use of compression garments may be advised to aid in healing and maintain the position of the implants.
  • Attend follow-up consultations with your surgeon. These meetings are crucial to monitor your recovery progress and address any complications promptly.
  • Adhere to post-operative care instructions, which may include applying ice to reduce swelling, taking prescribed painkillers and antibiotics, and avoiding activities that could raise blood pressure.
  • Maintain a soft diet and avoid strenuous activities to facilitate healing.
Day 7: Final Check-Up and Departure Preparation
  • Attend a final check-up with your surgeon to ensure everything is healing as expected. This is also an opportunity to discuss any final questions or concerns before your departure.
  • Prepare for your journey home by ensuring you have all necessary documents and medications for post-operative care.
  • Confirm your airport transfer details with the clinic to ensure a smooth departure.
Day 8: Departure
  • Check out from your hotel and head to the airport via the arranged transfer service.
  • Ensure you have contact information for your surgeon or clinic in case you have any questions or concerns once you return home.
  • Continue to follow post-operative care instructions as provided by your surgeon to ensure optimal recovery.

My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence
If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator. The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

The single positive aspect of this entire process was the staff. They were wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience with the surgeon and the clinic itself was profoundly disappointing, and I'm very concerned with how my otoplasty recovery is going so far. The gap between the supportive staff and the actual medical treatment I received is hard to understand. The facility did not meet my expectations for a medical setting in any capacity. Based on this, I would absolutely not recommend this clinic to anyone considering a similar procedure.
Do not go with bookimed.com. I didn’t liked from the moment when I arrived to airport anyone wasn’t there to pick me up, you know when you arrive any place you have no internet and you can’t make any phone calls or text so night mares already start.

I felt in such safe hands throughout and would recommend my surgeon Dr Yunus Emre Seker and his team to anyone
I loved the coordinator / interpreter. Totally made me feel at ease and comfortable in what I would only describe as an anxious situation especially with the language barrier and the unknown of where you are going. The surgeon himself was wonderful and even had a coffee with me before hand which made me feel completely at ease. I felt in such safe hands throughout and would recommend my surgeon Dr Yunus Emre Seker and his team to anyone. Thank-you so much :)

The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent
The possibility of breathing issues was my primary concern going into this. And honestly, that has been the biggest challenge in recovery so far, with one nostril constantly feeling stuffed. My surgeon performed a closed rhinoplasty. Everything is still very swollen along the bridge, but I can already see that my nose tip appears more refined, which is a great sign. The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent. The general staff were great, though post-op instructions could have been a bit more explicit. I'm satisfied with the medical care I received so far
Dr. Erol is an amazing doctor, his work was amazing he truly listened to my request and expectations and he was really patient and reassuring. The medical assistance team as well, they really took good care of me, they were present when i needed them.
post-op instructions could’ve been explained better

The lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement
My biggest worry was how the final result would look, and whether it would be worth the recovery. Even though I’m still quite puffy around my jawline, the lift in my jowls is already a dramatic improvement. That part is a huge relief. The staff and clinic environment were excellent from start to finish. Turning my head feels slightly tight but okay. The surgeon did good work, though I rated them a 4/5 as I felt some communication could have been a bit more compassionate after surgery. The most challenging part has absolutely been sleeping elevated. That's no fun. I would still recommend this clinic.
The Bookined coordinator and the Quartz Clinic staff were fantastic: supportive, helpful, compassionate. All updates were communicated to me promptly. The hotel booked for me is really excellent, with smooth transfers and kind drivers. Spot on!
I didn't give the doctor 5 stars because she made me cry the day after surgery. She could adopt a different approach towards me after surgery, with more understanding and compassion, especially since I was there on my own and at the end of the day, she's received all the information required, it doesn't matter from whom. The stress has a significant impact on me. Aside from that, she was great.

The moment I saw the result, even with the initial swelling, I could tell the shape was exactly what I wanted
The moment I saw the result, even with the initial swelling, I could tell the shape was exactly what I wanted. It’s a great feeling. My goal was a more defined tip, and that's precisely what the surgeon delivered using an open approach. The whole process was smooth, and the staff were genuinely caring. The most difficult part of recovery so far is just having to sleep upright, which is temporary. A huge bonus is that I am breathing perfectly through my nose already. I am so grateful for the surgeon's skill and the clear communication from the team.

the care provided by the surgeon and all the staff was impeccable
If you’re thinking about arm liposuction, I’d advise you to prepare for the recovery. My surgeon used the VASER ultrasound technique and, although it’s still early days, my compression sleeves are already too loose. My mobility is limited; my biggest difficulty right now is reaching for things above my head. It’s also important to be patient with the results, because when I look in the mirror today, I can see that one arm looks different from the other, and I’m confident that will even out over time. Despite these minor aspects of the process, the care provided by the surgeon and all the staff was impeccable. I would recommend the clinic.

The surgeon and staff were brilliant and supportive throughout
My biggest worry was ending up with an unnatural shape, but the surgeon’s approach and clear communication completely put me at ease. Right now, things still look a little patchy as about half the transplanted hairs have fallen out, which I was told to expect during this early stage of healing. It’s a process. The biggest challenge has honestly been a personal one: just remembering to avoid touching them! The surgeon and staff were brilliant and supportive throughout. While the clinic facilities were fine, the personal care from the team made all the difference. I'm very satisfied with my choice.

The surgeon did an excellent job – the incisions were made using the traditional method and are now hidden in the natural folds of the skin
I was worried that the scars from the upper and lower eyelid surgery would be noticeable. Fortunately, the surgeon did an excellent job – the incisions were made using the traditional method and are now hidden in the natural folds of the skin. I have no complaints about him whatsoever. However, the overall impression was greatly marred by the clinic itself, where the conditions were unsatisfactory. Recovery is still ongoing. My eyes are still swollen, and I’ve noticed that when I smile, one side looks slightly different. I hope this will pass. The main advice I would give to anyone considering this procedure is to prepare thoroughly for the period before and after the operation.

I now feel better than I expected
What I remember most about the whole process was the doctor’s approach. Before the operation, he personally marked the incision lines on my upper eyelids and honestly explained what I could realistically expect from the result. The procedure was carried out under general anaesthetic, and I now feel better than I expected. It was a great help that the doctor personally checked on me after the operation, and the clinic provided clear aftercare instructions. There were no additional costs. The only advice I would give to future patients is to make sure you confirm the exact date and time of the operation in advance.

We will be going back for other treatment and truly can’t recommend them enough
Sitting in the clinic in Antalya, the surgeon explained how the laser-assisted technique for my upper eyelids would function during the procedure. The whole service was smooth and we had a fantastic time throughout our stay. The aftercare was good. I was thrilled with how my eyes looked at 12 days, although at day 15 my biggest challenge is that they are still puffy. My eyes look natural and smooth when I smile. It is a process. We will be going back for other treatment and truly can’t recommend them enough. If you are considering eyelid surgery, ensure you have a few weeks to let the initial swelling settle.

I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter
I felt very secure and taken care of through the entire experience. All of my inquiries were answered very promptly by both the bookiemed coordinator, the assistant, and my doctor (Dr. C Altindąg), is very experienced and talked me through what to expect and analyzed my nose very thoroughly. I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter (I had a severe deviated septum and other complications from a past surgery that he identified and corrected including a mirgrated graft and a droopy tip). I'm still quite swollen but look forward to seeing final results in a few months.

But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts
I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts. 5 hours after the operation I returned to the hotel. Which is also very good because the hospital ward is the worst for me. Exactly after a week I took off the splint, my nose was still swollen. The nose is proportional to my face. When the swelling goes down it will be smaller

My surgeon was excellent
My biggest concern before the trip was unexpected additional costs, and unfortunately that concern proved to be justified. My additional costs for two lymphatic drainage sessions, an anti-thrombosis injection for the return flight and meals at the hotel amounted to €450. My advice to future patients is therefore: you should definitely clarify any additional costs that may arise. Apart from that, my surgeon was excellent. He marked the areas very carefully before the operation, which put me at ease. Over 4 litres of fat were removed during the Vaser liposuction, and my recovery has so far gone as expected. The clinic provided me with good support afterwards, was always available and gave me clear aftercare guidelines. If your language skills are not sufficient, you should definitely ask for an interpreter.
So, in the end, the whole package was just right. The coordinator was always on hand for me, organised everything she could and also cleared up any uncertainties. She was absolutely brilliant. The doctor was very friendly, but always rather curt. Because of the language barrier, it wasn’t that easy to sort out many things straight away. That usually only happened afterwards in the coordinator’s WhatsApp group. The transfer and the hotel we’d chosen were also great, and above all, everyone was friendly. The clinic was OK. The rooms didn’t feel as sterile as they do in Germany, but the medical care was very good. Even with the language barrier, the nursing staff always made an effort to chat with you. It was a good thing I had Google Translate.
I was promised a detailed preliminary consultation, but this did not take place. An interpreter on site would have been very helpful. I would recommend a longer stay of at least 10 days. My journey home was anything but pleasant. The wound drains were removed on the day of departure, even though there was still too much wound fluid being produced. On arriving in Germany, I went straight to A&E to rule out any more serious complications.

What gave me the most confidence was my surgeon sitting down with me to draw the incision lines right before the procedure
What gave me the most confidence was my surgeon sitting down with me to draw the incision lines right before the procedure. She was very honest about what results would be realistic for my age and even checked on me personally after I woke up from the general anesthesia. The procedure covered my full face and neck, and while it's still too early to tell what the final outcome will be, the support has been good. The staff are always easy to reach. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses. My main advice would be to arrive a day before your operation for the consultation with your doctor, and make sure to tell them what you eat.
Everything went excellently with the coordinator. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Paysal, who was my surgeon, was kind and knowledgeable.
The staff's English could have been better. The food served was the same for lunch and dinner for two days — chicken and rice. I told them I was vegetarian, but was still served chicken and rice for lunch and dinner.

FAQ about Cheek implants in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are cheek implants permanent?

Cheek implants provide a permanent facial contouring solution using biocompatible materials like medical-grade silicone or porous polyethylene. Unlike temporary dermal fillers, these solid implants do not dissolve. Turkish clinics offer these procedures for $1,300 to $3,100, featuring specialists with international certifications.

  • Material durability: Solid silicone or polyethylene implants never break down or absorb into your body.
  • Fixation methods: Surgeons at JCI-accredited clinics often use titanium screws to prevent implant migration.
  • Surgical reversibility: While designed for life, implants remain surgically removable if your aesthetic preferences change.
  • Natural aging: Implants stay shaped, though surrounding skin and bone naturally thin over decades.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While base prices start at $1,300, truly successful permanent results depend on fixation. Data from over 43,000 Turkish medical requests shows that premium clinics like Quartz Hospital prioritize screw-fixation techniques. Choosing a surgeon with International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) membership often ensures higher precision in placement.

Patient Consensus: Many patients suggest trying hyaluronic acid fillers for 1 year before committing to surgery. Those who chose implants emphasize that custom-fitted options significantly reduce the risk of shifting or dissatisfaction.

What are the main risks and how can I minimize them?

Main risks for cheek implants in Turkey include implant displacement, infection, and facial asymmetry. Patients minimize these complications by selecting surgeons with 100 plus specialized cases and verifying clinic accreditations from Joint Commission International (JCI) or the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

  • Implant stability: Proper pocket dissection prevents migration or shifting during the early healing weeks.
  • Sterilization protocols: Choosing ISO-certified facilities reduces the risk of post-operative infections or abscesses.
  • Surgeon expertise: Experienced doctors like Ali Nurhan Özbaba ensure symmetry across 30,000 surgeries.
  • Clinical oversight: JCI-accredited centers like Memorial Şişli Hospital prioritize international safety and hygiene standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data suggests a correlation between high success rates and surgeons who also offer fillers. This versatility indicates a deep understanding of facial harmony. Dr. Leyla Arvas at Quartz Hospital uses advanced training from Taiwan and Japan to ensure implants look natural and align with specific ethnic facial structures.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the need for local follow-up plans and suggest budgeting for potential revisions. Successful outcomes often involve rigorous pre-operative bloodwork and bringing a supply of prescribed antibiotics from home.

How should I select the best clinic and surgeon in Turkey?

Selecting the best clinic for cheek implants in Turkey requires verifying Turkish Ministry of Health licensing and surgeon board certification. Prioritize specialists with International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) memberships and facilities holding Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation to ensure high safety standards and predictable aesthetic outcomes.

  • Surgeon credentials: Confirm board certification in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
  • Hospital safety: Choose JCI-accredited facilities like Memorial Şişli Hospital to ensure advanced emergency response systems.
  • Specialization: Select surgeons like Dr. Leyla Arvas who specialize specifically in facial aesthetics and implants.
  • Case volume: Reference portfolios with 100+ similar cases to verify consistent results and natural symmetry.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinical data shows a clear distinction between high-volume aesthetic centers and multidisciplinary hospitals. While specialized clinics like Dr. MED report 97% success rates for facial procedures, JCI-accredited hospitals like Hisar Intercontinental serve over 250,000 patients annually, offering a more robust safety net for complex implant surgeries requiring general anesthesia.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize avoiding low-cost offers under $3,000 to prevent asymmetry. Many recommend requesting 3D-printed simulations and checking for English-speaking post-op support before booking.

What does a typical all-inclusive cheek-implant package in Turkey include?

All-inclusive cheek implant packages in Turkey bundle the surgical procedure with luxury accommodation and private logistics. These comprehensive plans typically cover high-quality silicone implants, surgeon fees, and anesthesia. Most packages include 1–2 nights of hospitalization and 5–7 nights in 4-star or 5-star hotels.

  • Core surgery: Includes surgeon fees, anesthesiology, and high-quality biocompatible silicone or custom implants.
  • Clinical stay: Covers 1–2 nights in a private hospital room with nursing care.
  • Diagnostics: Includes pre-operative blood work, facial analysis, and sometimes 3D CT scans.
  • Logistics: Provides VIP airport-to-hotel and clinic-to-hotel private transfers during the entire stay.
  • Recovery basics: Bundles essential post-op medications, compression garments, and 1–2 surgeon follow-up consultations.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Look for packages that specifically include high-end implants at clinics like Quartz Hospital or Memorial Şişli. Some entry-level offers around $1,300 might use generic implants. Premium clinics often provide JCI-accredited safety standards and surgeons with 30,000+ procedures experience.

Patient Consensus: Patients value the seamless door-to-door VIP transfers. Many advise budgeting extra for specialized medical tests that some clinics itemize separately upon arrival.

How long is the full recovery, and when can I return to normal activities?

Full recovery from cheek implants in Turkey generally takes 3 to 6 months for all residual swelling to resolve and tissues to settle. Most patients return to sedentary work within 7 to 10 days, once initial bruising and acute swelling from intraoral incisions subside.

  • Initial recovery: Patients typically resume light daily tasks within 1 to 2 weeks post-surgery.
  • Physical activity: Light walking is encouraged immediately, but strenuous exercise requires 4 to 8 weeks.
  • Social return: Visible bruising usually fades by day 14, allowing for a comfortable social return.
  • Final results: While basic healing takes 4 weeks, final contours appear after 3 to 6 months.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from top Istanbul clinics shows that using intraoral incisions significantly accelerates visible recovery compared to external methods. Surgeons like Dr. Leyla Arvas at Quartz Hospital prioritize these internal techniques to eliminate external scarring. Our coordinators note that patients who sleep elevated with 3 pillows for 14 days report 30% faster swelling reduction.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find that swelling peaks on day 3 and recommend planning 2 weeks of reduced activity. They emphasize following strict icing protocols provided by Turkish clinics to manage internal discomfort during the first week.

How long do I need to stay in Turkey for safe recovery and follow-up?

For safe recovery after cheek implants in Turkey, plan a stay of 7 to 10 days in Istanbul or Antalya. This window allows surgeons to monitor initial swelling and confirm implant stability before your flight. Most clinics require a final check-up to remove sutures and provide medical clearance.

  • Initial recovery: Spend the first 48 hours resting to minimize acute facial swelling.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons typically schedule stitch removal between day 7 and day 10.
  • Implant stability: Avoid flying before day 7 to prevent displacement from cabin pressure changes.
  • Long-haul travel: Patients from the USA or Canada should consider staying 14 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While basic recovery takes a week, data from high-volume centers like Memorial Sisli and Quartz Hospital suggests that 10 days is the safest benchmark. This extra time allows for a second follow-up, which is vital for detecting early signs of asymmetry or shifting that may occur once the most significant swelling subsides.

Patient Consensus: Many patients recommend budgeting for 12 days to ensure total comfort. They emphasize that rushing the return flight can worsen bruising and suggest packing a neck pillow to help maintain an upright sleeping position during travel.

Will the procedure leave visible scars?

Cheek implants in Turkey typically leave no visible external scars because surgeons primarily use an intraoral incision approach. By placing incisions inside the upper lip or mouth, the skin remains intact. Any internal marks generally fade into nearly invisible white lines within 6 to 12 months.

  • Incision location: Surgeons place cuts inside the mouth to ensure zero external facial scarring.
  • Alternative approach: Rare sub-ciliary incisions under the eyelashes leave tiny lines that blend naturally.
  • Healing timeline: Most internal tissue marks reach full maturity and soften within 12 months.
  • Surgical expertise: Doctors with 100 or more cases typically achieve the most discreet outcomes.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from clinics like Quartz Hospital shows that choosing a surgeon with microsurgery training, such as Dr. Leyla Arvas, significantly improves tissue handling. While the procedure is technically invasive, surgeons in Istanbul often combine these hidden incisions with advanced laser technologies to accelerate the fading of any minor internal marks.

Patient Consensus: Patients report that while initial swelling can feel restrictive, the lack of external marks provides an immediate boost in confidence. They emphasize that following strict oral hygiene is vital to prevent infections that could affect how the internal tissue heals.

Can I combine cheek implants with other procedures in Turkey?

Turkish clinics frequently combine cheek implants with other facial surgeries to improve facial proportions. Common combinations include rhinoplasty, deep-plane facelifts, and eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). Specialists often perform these procedures together. Doing so harmonises the jawline and mid-face. It also reduces overall recovery time and theatre costs.

  • Facial contouring: Rhinoplasty and chin augmentation are common additions to improve the side profile.
  • Soft tissue lifting: Deep-plane facelifts or thread lifts address skin laxity alongside implant volume.
  • Eye rejuvenation: Lower blepharoplasty often complements cheek implants for a smooth under-eye transition.
  • Surgical expertise: Board-certified surgeons personally perform these combinations. Dr Furkan Karabekmez at his Ankara clinic is one such surgeon.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics like Quartz Hospital serve thousands of international patients annually. They often use endoscopic techniques for combined facial surgeries. This approach uses the same small incisions as a mid-face lift. Surgeons like Dr Leyla Arvas can then place implants. Choosing this path can significantly reduce visible scarring compared to separate surgeries.

Patient Consensus: Surgeons in Turkey are well-regarded for their combination procedures. They often pair cheek implants with rhinoplasty or liposuction. Patients suggest researching Instagram results. They also recommend joining community groups. This helps confirm a surgeon's specific experience with multiple facial procedures before booking.

What are the different types of cheek augmentation techniques available in Turkey?

Cheek augmentation in Turkey includes surgical implants, fat grafting, and dermal fillers. They improve volume and facial contour. Surgeons in Istanbul and Ankara specialise in permanent silicone implants and lipofilling. They often combine these with lifts to address sagging skin and mid-face symmetry.

  • Surgical implants: Permanent silicone prosthetics placed through oral incisions to define cheekbones.
  • Fat grafting: Uses a patient’s own processed fat for natural-looking volume restoration.
  • Dermal fillers: Non-surgical injections providing temporary contouring without downtime or anaesthesia.
  • Mid-face lift: Repositions existing facial tissue to lift sagging cheeks and nasolabial folds.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many seekers focus on fillers, Turkish surgeons like Dr. Furkan Karabekmez often suggest fat grafting (lipofilling). This yields longer-lasting results. Clinics in Istanbul frequently bundle this with VASER liposuction. This allows patients to harvest fat from the abdomen while enhancing facial volume.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey report high satisfaction with natural volume from fat transfer. They value the 72% savings compared to Australian costs. However, they suggest confirming aftercare support before booking.

What is included in Turkish cheek implant packages?

Cheek implant packages in Turkey typically bundle surgical fees, high-quality silicone or medpor implants, and general anaesthesia. All three are covered by one price. Clinics often include private VIP transfers, four or five-star hotel stays, and dedicated interpreters. These support international patients throughout their stay.

  • Surgical components: Includes specialist surgeon fees, hospital theatre use, and anaesthesia.
  • Clinical inclusions: Covers pre-operative blood tests, initial consultations, and necessary post-operative medications.
  • Logistical support: Most packages provide private VIP transfers between the airport, hotel, and clinic.
  • Hotel accommodation: Patients usually receive 3–5 nights in a partner hotel for recovery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many centres offer bundled deals, Dr. MED provides a significant differentiator with one year of aftercare support included. This extended follow-up is rare. It provides extra security for Australians returning home after surgery and ensures long-term results are monitored.

Patient Consensus: Patients recommend verifying implant brands via video chat with surgeons. This should be done before travelling to Turkey. Confirming whether items like post-op x-rays and medications are bundled is useful. It helps avoid unexpected costs upon arrival.

Who is a good candidate for cheek implants in Turkey?

Ideal candidates for cheek implants in Turkey are adults with underdeveloped cheekbones, mid-face volume loss, or facial asymmetry. Suitable patients require good skin elasticity and should be non-smokers. Most seek a permanent alternative to dermal fillers at Turkey's JCI-accredited surgical centres.

  • Volume restoration: Corrects sunken mid-face areas caused by ageing or significant weight loss.
  • Structural enhancement: Provides definition to naturally flat or underdeveloped malar (cheek) bones.
  • Health status: Requires stable fitness levels and no uncontrolled chronic medical conditions.
  • Skin quality: Adequate elasticity ensures the skin drapes naturally over the new implants.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many people seek implants for volume. However, top Istanbul surgeons like Dr. Leyla Arvas often suggest combining them with deep-plane facelifts. Data shows clinics like Dr. MED achieve high success rates. They do so by integrating these procedures so skin tension matches the new underlying structure.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey often recommend bringing their own pain relief. They also advise conducting independent research via private groups. Successful outcomes depend on clear communication with theatre staff and verified surgeon credentials before booking.

What is the recovery time for cheek implants in Turkey?

Recovery from cheek implants in Turkey usually takes 7 to 14 days before patients return to work. Most facial swelling resolves within 3 weeks. Final results appear after 4 to 6 weeks. Surgeons in Istanbul typically recommend a 7-day stay for monitoring and suture removal.

  • Activity resumption: Most patients return to daily habits and desk work within 7–10 days.
  • Post-operative stay: Clinics generally require a 7 to 10-day stay for follow-up and suture removal.
  • Swelling timeline: Facial puffiness peaks in 48 hours. About 70% typically resolves by week 3.
  • Dietary restrictions: Patients must eat soft foods for 7 days to avoid shifting the implants.
  • Physical limitations: Avoid strenuous exercise and wide facial movements for at least 2 to 3 weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: High-volume Istanbul clinics like Quartz Hospital or Dr. MED often combine cheek implants with other facial adjustments. Recovery for single implants is quick. Combining them with rhinoplasty can extend the period for final symmetry settling to 12 months.

Patient Consensus: Turkish clinics provide excellent support. Most patients manage discomfort easily with mild painkillers by day 3. Swelling makes the face look wide initially. Makeup safely covers any remaining bruising after 10 days.

How long do I need to stay in Turkey for cheek implant surgery?

Patients typically need to stay in Turkey for 7 to 10 days for cheek implant surgery. This timeframe lets surgeons monitor initial healing and manage peak swelling between days 2 and 3. It also allows them to check the implants are stable before the flight back to Australia.

  • Clinical stay: Most patients spend 1 night in hospital after the procedure.
  • Initial recovery: Swelling and bruising generally peak during the first 48 to 72 hours.
  • Follow-up window: Surgeons usually schedule a final check-up 5 to 7 days post-surgery.
  • Work readiness: Most people return to non-strenuous jobs within 7 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While a 7-day stay is standard, clinics like Dr. MED provide a full year of aftercare support. This is particularly valuable for Australian patients to manage the 2–3 month window it takes for all minor swelling to fully settle.

Patient Consensus: Travellers in Turkey find that 1 week is enough to recover before flying. They suggest resting during the first 3 days and booking a window seat for the flight home to protect the face.
