Dr. Sadir Alrawi is a board-certified surgical oncologist. He specializes in upper gastrointestinal, head and neck, minimally invasive, breast, and colorectal cancers. He also has expertise in heated chemoperfusion. Dr. Alrawi serves as the Director of Oncology Services at VPS Hospital system in the UAE and MENA region. He oversees several tertiary referral cancer centers.
Dr. Alrawi holds both American and British board certifications. He completed fellowships at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He has previously led oncology divisions at Al Zahra Hospital, Tawam Hospital (a Johns Hopkins affiliate), and 21st Century Oncology in Florida. Dr. Alrawi has published widely and given many invited talks. He remains active in oncology research and education.
Dr. Jafaru Abu is a Consultant Gynecological Oncology Surgeon with almost 30 years of experience. He specializes in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Abu introduced Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) in the UK. He also led Nottingham University Hospital’s Gynecological Oncology Department to ESGO accreditation as an Advanced Ovarian Cancer Cytoreductive Surgical Centre.
Dr. Abu holds MRCOG and FRCOG qualifications from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, UK. He is also accredited by the BSCCP. Dr. Abu founded the Annual Nottingham Advanced Laparoscopic Training Course, where he mentors consultants and trainees. He is an international faculty member at IRCAD, Strasbourg.
