Federico Hernandez Alfaro

Federico Hernandez Alfaro is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He directs the Maxillofacial Institute at Centro Medico Teknon. Prof. Alfaro has successfully treated over 4,000 patients from 50 countries. He performs approximately 150 orthognathic operations every year.

Specialization & Approach

Prof. Alfaro specializes in orthognathic surgery—corrective jaw surgery—and dental implantology. He treats jaw cysts, facial injuries, and bone malformations. Additionally, he corrects soft tissues of the jaws and face. He uses advanced neuroendoscopic methods or similar specialized surgical work to restore facial symmetry and function.

Prof. Alfaro has authored over 120 scientific papers and 4 medical books. His research focuses on orthognathic surgery and preprosthetic surgery. Furthermore, he has served as a Professor at UIC Barcelona since 2018. He teaches oral and maxillofacial surgery to other specialists.
