This text discusses buttock augmentation surgery, which aims to restore a youthful and athletic body contour by increasing the volume and changing the contour of the buttocks. The surgery can be performed using techniques such as body fat, buttock prostheses, buttock and fat prostheses, and hyaluronic acid. The most common technique is a combination of buttock prostheses and fat, which is used when there is not enough fat, sagging is severe, or when patients want to increase their glutes and hips simultaneously. The surgery is performed under general or epidural anesthesia and takes 2-3 hours. The patient spends a night at the clinic and uses a compressive brace for 4-6 weeks. The buttocks have a central position in the human body, being fundamental for a young and athletic body contour. Over the years, the buttocks start "falling" and losing their convex form of youth .... replaced by a more rectilinear form of aging. The point of this surgery is to return to the posterior contour of the human body its convex and juvenile shape.

The increase in the volume of the buttocks and change of its contour can be done using the following techniques:

3 - Buttock Augmentation with Prostheses and Fat
This surgery is increasingly common, combining the 2 techniques described above. It should be used when there is not enough fat, sagging is severe or, when patients want to increase the glutes and hips simultaneously. Gluteal prostheses do not increase the hips .... only the fat graft does.
Surgery
It is performed under general anesthesia or epidural anesthesia and has durability of 2 to 3 hours. The patient spends a night at the clinic. First the fat is reaped and is prepared for infiltration. In my clinical practice, I put the prostheses and then mold the buttocks and hips with the fat.
Postoperative
The patient uses a compressive brace for 4 to 6 weeks. You should do lymphatic drainage in the anatomical regions from which the fat was harvested. The return to socio-professional life will take 10 to 15 days ... in non-manual professions. The final result will take 4 to 6 months.
Conclusion
This combined surgery uses the two best surgical techniques to the augmentation and improved contour of the gluteal area. In my opinion, it will be the future to obtain the best results with less complications.
