I came away with a positive overall impression of the day. The staff were a definite highlight, providing excellent support and guidance throughout the PET-CT with Gallium 68 PSMA scan. They made me feel looked after. The doctor was professional and the clinic itself was well-equipped. My only negative, and the reason for a lower overall score, was the airport transfer. The taxi was difficult for me to get in and out of. More importantly, upon arrival at the airport, I could not find the driver at the designated meeting point, which created unnecessary stress. While the medical care was handled very well, the logistics of the transport could be improved.

I feel better than expected
My biggest fear was the language barrier in another country, but everyone made me feel comfortable and heard. From the coordinators to my doctor, the treatment was professional and humane. My surgeon was particularly good, visiting me after the surgery and explaining realistic outcomes beforehand. I feel better than expected. I was given a clear aftercare guide, and there were no surprise costs. My advice is to stay for about five days after the procedure before you plan to travel home.
My experience was very positive; it exceeded my expectations, since being in another country with a different language than the patient's is often frightening, but there I felt comfortable because at every moment I felt listened to and treated with a lot of human warmth — from the coordinators, the translator, and especially the doctor, who was very professional and humane in his treatment. A very beautiful experience.

The service was great and the staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel welcome right away. The main point of difficulty for my basic check-up was the internal logistics. The process involves a lot of walking around and checking the availability of each department as you go, which can be quite time-consuming. It really would have been better if a specific time had been allocated for each service in advance to streamline the day.

The surgeon and the entire team at the clinic were great, which put me at ease
My biggest worry was centered on one of the 2-3 fibroids I had. The surgeon and the entire team at the clinic were great, which put me at ease. The procedure itself was smooth. I am now in the early recovery phase and I feel good, though I do tire easily, as is expected. It’s still too early to know what the final results will be, but I am optimistic. I can’t really comment on the price clarity as I wasn't sure about the details. From a medical and care standpoint, everything was handled very professionally by the staff.
The doctor was patient and heard all my needs. He couldnot have done more. Bookmed helped me get the best options. The process was so smooth
Maybe, letting customer know there will be additional cost other than the ones quotated. We paid for so many tests not covered.

Op. Dr. Yalçın İşcan graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2005 and completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in 2010.

Between 2011 and 2015, he served at Batman Regional Hospital, where he performed thousands of ophthalmic surgical procedures and gained extensive clinical experience.

From 2015 to 2025, Dr. İşcan worked at Private Batman Dünya Hospital. During his tenure, he performed a wide range of ophthalmic procedures, including cataract surgery, corneal cross-linking, strabismus surgery, pterygium surgery, refractive surgery, oculoplastic procedures, lacrimal drainage surgery, and corneal transplantation. Through his extensive surgical experience and clinical expertise, he contributed to establishing the department as a leading regional referral center for ophthalmology.

Since 2023, alongside his position at Batman Dünya Hospital, Dr. İşcan has also provided ophthalmic services two days per week at Pendik Medical Park Hospital and Kudret Göz Istanbul, further expanding his clinical practice in Istanbul.
