Dr. Alexander Krapivsky is a German board-certified internist and cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He trained at I.M. Sechenov University. He worked at University Hospital Essen, Heart Center Duisburg, and Evangelisches Krankenhaus Mülheim. From 2006 to 2015, he led the cardiac catheterization laboratory as a senior cardiologist.
He founded Herzquartier in 2015 and serves as medical director. It is a network of specialized cardiology practices in Düsseldorf, Mülheim an der Ruhr, and Mönchengladbach. His expertise includes prevention and early detection, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, lipid disorders, and non‑invasive diagnostics.
Accreditations include DGK Interventional Cardiology, Active Cardiac Rhythm Devices, Heart Failure, and Special Cardiovascular Prevention. He is certified in lipidology (DGFF) and trained in internal intensive care medicine. He has authored and co‑authored research published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Clinical Research in Cardiology, and EuroIntervention.
