The final price depends on the chosen implant brand, restoration materials like Zirconia, and the clinic location. Patients save around 44% compared to the US, where the average price is $40,000. Most Mexican clinics provide 3D CBCT scans, local anesthesia, and temporary bridges within the initial surgical phase.

Facilities like YeahSmile or Bokanova Riviera Maya offer specialized expertise and five-year warranties on treatments. Many top-tier doctors, such as Dr. Armando Torres, hold advanced certifications in maxillofacial surgery and provide Straumann materials. I cannot recommend Jean more highly
RE: Bridge and Implants My extensive experience with dental treatment in the USA is simply unparalleled. Jenna, Alma, Roberto, and Alec together form such an efficient and responsive team. Throughout the entire time, I felt I was in safe hands, being well cared for. These kind individuals were willing to dedicate ample time to me and address all my questions. Even during the process, they were prepared to take the time to ensure I was satisfied with our decisions. I spent significantly less money on them than I would have on all my other expenses. They are true professionals, equipped with modern technology and genuinely caring for their patients. I cannot recommend Jean more highly.
Everything. I’ll add here that the office is a three minute walk from the hotel.

We are very satisfied with the quality of work, the professionalism of Dr
This time we contacted the dental center of Mexico Dentavida to Dr. Alberto Guvera. We are very satisfied with the quality of work, the professionalism of Dr. Alberto. But in the case of my husband, a medical mistake was made in Turkish dentistry when installing crowns, which we will try to solve in the near future. Then we will share the results.
About Bookimed service
Thanks to the Bookimed consultants for their excellent work in providing timely assistance in finding the right clinic in any region of the world. In our case, our family is collaborating for the second time on the problem of dental treatment, the installation of zirconium crowns (autumn 2022, February 2023). I like the individual approach, quick response and understanding of the situation. They are selected qualitatively. not only clinics, but also doctors.

FAQ about Zygomatic All-on-6 implants in Mexico

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What specific medical specialty should a doctor in Mexico have to perform Zygomatic All-on-6 implants?

A qualified specialist for zygomatic All-on-6 implants in Mexico must be an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon or a specialized implantologist with advanced surgical training. These experts focus on anchoring implants into the cheekbone, which requires deep knowledge of facial anatomy and bone regeneration.

  • Surgical board certification: Leading surgeons hold certification from the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Advanced implantology training: Top specialists like Dr. Jose Javier Pena Peniche have postgraduate diplomas in implantology.
  • Bone regeneration expertise: Experts like Dr. Esteban Barragan hold a PhD in bone regeneration techniques.
  • International fellowship training: Qualified doctors often complete specialized surgical residencies in Spain, Germany, or the US.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many dentists perform standard All-on-6, zygomatic cases require specific bone regeneration expertise. Data shows that top-rated specialists like Dr. Armando Torres often combine maxillofacial surgery with high specialties in joint prostheses. This dual expertise is vital for navigating complex facial structures safely during the anchoring process.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that zygomatic implants are far more invasive than standard ones and require a dedicated surgical specialist. Many noted it is crucial to verify if the surgeon performs these complex cases daily rather than occasionally. They felt more confident when doctors could clearly explain why cheekbone anchoring was necessary for their bone loss.

What board certifications or credentials should I verify when choosing a doctor in Mexico for zygomatic implants?

When choosing a doctor for zygomatic implants in Mexico, verify a specialized Cédula de Especialidad in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Qualified surgeons must hold board certification from the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (CMCOM) and maintain active memberships in international bodies like the American Dental Association.

  • Specialty license: Verify a federal Cédula de Especialidad specifically in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
  • Board certification: Ensure certification by the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (CMCOM).
  • International training: Look for fellowships in Spain, Germany, or the US for advanced techniques.
  • Material provider: Confirm certification as an official Straumann or Nobel Biocare provider for hardware.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows that top-tier Mexican surgeons often hold advanced academic degrees beyond clinical practice. For example, Dr. Esteban Barragan at Bokanova Riviera Maya holds a PhD in bone regeneration from Barcelona. Choosing a doctor who also serves as a professor, like Dr. Armando Torres at Ortodoncia CDMX, indicates a high level of expertise in complex reconstruction.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the importance of seeing the physical license number before starting any work. Many were surprised by how thoroughly clinics provide hardware passports and serial numbers for their implants. They suggest asking specifically about the anesthesiology team to feel safer during the long surgery.

How can I verify a Mexican doctor's past experience and patient reviews for complex All-on-6 zygomatic cases?

Verifying experience for Zygomatic All-on-6 implants in Mexico requires checking for a Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certification and valid specialty licenses (Cédula Profesional). Because these implants anchor into the cheekbone rather than the jaw, only specialists like Dr. Jose Manuel G. Gomez at Varto Oral Surgery, who has over 20 years of experience, should handle these complex cases. Patients should request specific case counts for zygomatic procedures rather than general dental implants to ensure the surgeon handles severe bone atrophy cases routinely.

  • Check Professional Licenses: Verify the doctor’s specialty license number through the Mexican federal professional registry.
  • Verify Board Certification: Ensure the surgeon is certified by the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Review Surgical Training: Look for advanced degrees, such as Dr. Esteban Barragan’s PhD in bone regeneration.
  • Analyze Clinical Volume: Confirm high-procedure counts, like Dr. Miller Vieira Paula’s 25,000+ performed dental procedures.
  • Confirm Facility Standards: Choose clinics with American Dental Association (ADA) or Asociación Dental Mexicana (ADM) accreditations.
  • Specialization Focus: Prioritize doctors like Dr. Jose Javier Pena Peniche who specialize in digital dentistry.
  • Language Proficiency: Ensure the medical team is fluent in English to avoid communication errors during surgery.
  • Cross-Reference Memberships: Check for international affiliations like the International Team for Implantology (ITI) for surgeons.

Bookimed Expert Insight: A distinct pattern in Mexican dental data shows that the most qualified zygomatic specialists often hold dual credentials. For instance, Dr. Jose Manuel G. Gomez is both a Professor at U.N.A.M. and a staff member at the prestigious Angeles Medical Group. This combination of academic leadership and hospital-grade surgical practice is a stronger indicator of safety for complex zygomatic cases than commercial clinic reviews alone. When choosing a provider, prioritize those who teach surgical techniques to other doctors at national universities.

Patient Consensus: Patients mention they felt more secure when surgeons explained the recovery timeline and swelling management in detail. Many noted that the most reliable feedback comes from those who describe the fit and comfort of their temporary dentures during the healing phase. Real experiences often highlight the importance of having a dedicated restorative team working alongside the primary surgeon.

What critical questions should I ask a Mexican oral surgeon during my initial virtual or in-person consultation?

When consulting for zygomatic All-on-6 implants in Mexico, verify your surgeon holds advanced specialization in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Confirm they use 3D CBCT imaging to map your sinus anatomy. Ask for specific implant brands to ensure long-term serviceability in your home country.

  • Surgical specialization: Confirm the doctor is a certified maxillofacial surgeon, not a general dentist.
  • Case volume: Ask how many complex zygomatic or full-arch cases they personally perform monthly.
  • Component brands: Ensure they use globally recognized systems like Straumann or Nobel Biocare for parts.
  • 3D imaging: Verify they use 3D CBCT scans to precisely plan zygoma bone anchorage.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many top Mexican specialists possess international academic backgrounds that bridge North American and European techniques. For instance, Dr. Esteban Barragan at Bokanova Riviera Maya holds a PhD and trained in Barcelona, while Dr. Armando Torres has served as a surgery professor at UNAM for over 20 years. This academic depth is vital for complex zygomatic cases involving severe bone loss.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the need to understand the bridge material and repair options before leaving the clinic. They often note that having a clear plan for follow-up care or adjustments once they return home provides the most peace of mind.

Do Mexican doctors who perform zygomatic implants typically speak English fluently?

Mexican surgeons performing zygomatic All-on-6 implants are typically fluent in English. Most specialists treat an international patient base and have completed advanced training abroad. Doctors like Dr. Esteban Barragan and Dr. Armando Torres maintain full bilingual proficiency for complex medical consultations.

  • International training: Many surgeons completed postgraduate studies in Spain, the U.S., or Europe.
  • Bilingual staff: Clinics in hubs like Cancun and Mexico City employ English-speaking coordinators.
  • Professional memberships: Top doctors hold memberships in the American Dental Association (ADA).
  • Academic roles: Specialists like Dr. Armando Torres have served as university professors for 20+ years.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows that top-tier Mexican surgeons often hold advanced degrees from European institutions. For instance, Dr. Esteban Barragan earned a PhD from Spain. This international exposure ensures they are comfortable discussing complex surgical biomaterials and bone regeneration techniques in English with patients from the USA and Canada.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that while administrative staff are usually fully fluent, fluency levels among hygienists can vary. They emphasize the importance of confirming the surgeon can explain the procedure directly. Many were surprised by how friendly and clear the communication was during their consultation.
