How Much Does Neck lift Cost in Bangkok?

Neck lift in Bangkok typically costs from $3,500 / ฿119,000 to $3,500 / ฿119,000 depending on the surgical technique and clinic type. Patients save around 62% compared to the US, where this procedure costs $13,000 / ฿442,000 on average. Packages often include surgeon fees, general anesthesia, preoperative tests, compression garments, hospital stay, and VIP airport transfers.

  • Traditional SMAS technique: $3,500 / ฿119,000 to $7,800 / ฿265,200 for muscle tightening and skin removal.
  • Combined face and neck lift: Often starts 15-20% higher than standalone procedures but provides a balanced facial rejuvenation.

  • Clinic accreditation: JCI-accredited hospitals usually charge more than private plastic surgery clinics for extra safety infrastructure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok clinics offer a high volume of specialized facial procedures with surgeons who often perform over 15,000 cases. Many mid-range clinics include hotel stays and VIP transfers in their standard quotes. This provides a seamless recovery experience that isn't typically bundled in Western medical markets.

Data verified by Bookimed as of September 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 308 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

My biggest surprise is the lack of results. Although I am only just beginning my recovery, my skin is already much looser than I expected after such a procedure. The hardest part so far has been the visibility of the bruises, which were very extensive. I have to admit: the staff were decent. However, communication with the surgeon was virtually non-existent, to the extent that I’m not even sure which technique was used. The clinic’s overall organisation was also poor. I would absolutely not recommend this clinic.

There is very weak communication gap between the Doctor and no explanation of the procedure. The clinic should in detail the procedures they will be performing. It would be better if possible to show a before and after video presented to the patient so that the patient can easily see what is going on.
I didn't like the neck lift done. I am concerned. One thing the neck lift was supposed to be minor bur for some reason my ears are also effected. I have two big lumps on either side of my ears and I have extra skin where I didn't have before..

I enjoyed my experience, due to staff being friendly and understanding . I felt very comfortable and understood. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. I got lipo and a BBL done, so as you can imagine that was quite scary. But the medical team are very calm and reassuring.

the surgeon is very skilled and his stitches are wonderful
The whole process from initial consult to surgery and follow up after care were good. I was very happy the care received from the admin staff and the surgical team. The nurses were so gentle. the surgeon is very skilled and his stitches are wonderful. I would be so happy to undergo further procedures at this clinic. The hotel was also great.
The outcome was great and my surgeries were separated into two - and the bleph was done under local for increased safety and to reduce time under general anesthetic - which is good.
Everything was good no negative feedback

I felt at ease because they showed they were professionals
The medical team was polite. I felt at ease because they showed they were professionals. I only wish there had been a Russian-speaking person, of course, so it would have been easier to communicate, but otherwise, everything was great!

FAQ about treatment in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Which clinics/hospitals are top-rated for a neck lift in Bangkok?

Top-rated hospitals for a neck lift in Bangkok include JCI-accredited facilities and specialized centers. These include Asia Cosmetic Hospital, ID Clinic Bangkok, and Wansiri Hospital. These institutions focus on safety standards. They employ board-certified surgeons who specialize in SMAS and deep plane techniques.

  • ID Clinic Bangkok: This clinic has surgeons with over 20,000 procedures. It also offers full SMAS neck lift packages.
  • Asia Cosmetic Hospital: This JCI-accredited facility was named Face-Lifting Surgery Clinic of the Year in Asia-Pacific.
  • Wansiri Hospital: Uses Clean Room operating theaters and maintains a 99% success rate for facelifts.
  • B.Care Medical Center: It's one of Bangkok's largest specialized hospitals, serving thousands of international patients annually.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Some people believe large general hospitals are best. However, Bangkok’s specialized plastic surgery centers often offer better value. For example, ID Clinic Bangkok's standard packages include 7 hotel nights and VIP transfers. This level of logistical support is rarely matched by larger multispecialty institutions like Bumrungrad.

Patient Consensus: Patients say it's important to choose a facial specialist rather than a general surgeon. Most recommend staying at least 2 weeks. This helps manage the expected early bruising and make sure you get proper follow-up care.

Which clinics are best for neck lifts in Bangkok?

Top-rated clinics for neck lifts in Bangkok include ID Clinic Bangkok, Asia Cosmetic Hospital, and Wansiri Hospital. These facilities use specialized surgical approaches like the SMAS technique and deep plane lifting. Surgeons often bring over 20,000 procedures and certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons Thailand.

  • ID Clinic Bangkok: Expert SMAS lifts by surgeons with 20,000+ operations and 95% success rates.
  • Asia Cosmetic Hospital: JCI-accredited facility recognized as Face-Lifting Surgery Clinic of the Year 2023.
  • Wansiri Hospital: Features Clean Room standard operating suites and high 99% success for contouring.
  • BKFL Clinic: Specializes in deep plane techniques yielding 10-year age reduction for international patients.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Neck lift prices start at $3,500, but what’s included varies a lot. Top centers like ID Clinic Bangkok bundle VIP transfers and hotel stays. Other high-end hospitals may charge extra for these services. Always ask if your quote covers post-op follow-ups — a 14-day stay is recommended for safe drain and swelling management.

Patient Consensus: Patients stress the importance of talking directly with the surgeon about scar placement and recovery timelines. Medical standards are high, but clear English language support is key for managing aftercare and understanding technical details.

What is the recovery time for a neck lift in Bangkok?

Initial recovery for a neck lift in Bangkok typically takes 10 to 14 days. However, final results settle over 3 to 6 months. Most patients return to desk work within 2 weeks and resume strenuous exercise after 6 weeks of healing.

  • Hospital stay: Patients usually stay 1 night for observation before moving to a hotel.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons usually remove stitches between days 7 and 10.
  • Compression therapy: Wearing a compression garment for 5 to 7 days reduces swelling.
  • Travel clearance: Plan at least 14 days in Thailand before flying home.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Surgeons like Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic Bangkok have performed over 20,000 procedures. High-volume clinics often include 7-day hotel stays and VIP transfers in their packages. These extras streamline early recovery. This experience often leads to more efficient healing and precisely placed incisions.

Patient Consensus: Most patients feel comfortable in public by week 2. But full skin settling takes longer. Patients often report lingering numbness and tightness. These sensations can last several months before fully going away.

Do Bangkok neck lift packages include extra services?

Bangkok neck lift packages often bundle in extras like VIP airport transfers, hotel stays, and pre‑op medical clearances. High‑tier facilities typically include general anesthesia, compression garments, and 1–2 nights of hospitalization for international patients having SMAS or deep plane techniques.

  • Travel logistics: VIP transfers between airport, hotel, and clinic are standard in premium deals.
  • Post-op support: Packages usually cover specialized compression garments and the take‑home medications you need.
  • Accommodation: Some deals bundle a 7‑day hotel stay with half‑board meals for recovery.
  • Medical testing: Pre‑operative costs for chest X‑rays and surgical consultations are often fully covered.

Bookimed Expert Insight: All‑inclusive deals are available. However, there is a clear value gap between basic and premium tiers. For example, Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic Bangkok offers packages that differ by over $1,200 depending on whether hotel stays and half‑board meals are included. Patients should check whether a package covers the full 7‑day recovery period. Some clinics only include the initial 1‑day hospital stay.

Patient Consensus: Patients often stress the importance of requesting a line‑by‑line breakdown to avoid unexpected charges at discharge. The medical care is frequently praised for its professionalism, and clear communication about what the base price truly covers remains a top priority.

Are the neck lift surgeons in Bangkok qualified?

Neck lift surgeons in Bangkok are highly qualified. Many hold board certifications from the Medical Council of Thailand and the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS). Leading practitioners often have over 20 years of experience and completed fellowships in the USA or South Korea.

  • Specialized certifications: Surgeons like Dr. Palapong Chayangsu at BKFL Clinic hold prestigious IBCFPRS certification.
  • High surgery volume: Experts such as Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul have performed over 20,000 surgical procedures.
  • International training: Most doctors completed fellowships in the USA, South Korea, or Taiwan.
  • Accredited facilities: Clinics like Asia Cosmetic Hospital maintain JCI accreditation and ISO international standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While neck lifts are widely available, surgeons at JCI-accredited facilities like Asia Cosmetic Hospital report a 0% post-surgery complication rate. Choosing a hospital rather than a small clinic gives you advanced anesthesia monitoring and 24-hour nursing care. This is a critical safety point for international patients.

Patient Consensus: Patients value surgeons who provide honest recovery timelines and clear incision maps. Some noted a need for better pre-operative communication so they could fully understand the chosen surgical technique.

How long do I need to stay in Bangkok for a neck lift?

You should plan to stay in Bangkok for 10 to 14 days. This gives you time for a 1-day hospital stay, initial monitoring, and suture removal. After that, you receive medical clearance to fly home safely.

  • Hospital stay: Most clinics require a 1-night hospital stay for observation after general anesthesia.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons typically remove stitches or staples 7 to 10 days after surgery.
  • Social readiness: Most patients feel comfortable going out in public after 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Flying clearance: Doctors usually give you medical clearance to fly after 10 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: 10 days is the clinical minimum. But many all-inclusive packages in Bangkok already bundle a 7-day hotel stay. For example, packages at ID Clinic include this. Deep plane techniques require more intensive monitoring. So, packages with integrated accommodation give you immediate access to the surgical team. This is especially helpful during the critical first week.

Patient Consensus: Patients say that you may feel socially ready by week 2. But the first 5 days are the most challenging. Patients often recommend having a caregiver for the first 48 hours. This helps with medication and wound care while you can't move your neck freely.

What does recovery involve after a neck lift in Bangkok?

Recovery after a neck lift in Bangkok requires a 7 to 14-day stay. This allows time for early healing and suture removal. The process includes wearing compression garments, resting with the head raised, and managing swelling that peaks around day 3. These steps help ensure the best surgical results.

  • Hospital stay: Patients typically spend 1 night at JCI-accredited facilities so doctors can monitor them right away.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons usually remove stitches between day 7 and day 10 after surgery.
  • Activity limits: Avoid heavy lifting or neck twisting for 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Final results: Swelling goes down over several weeks, but the final look takes 6 to 12 months to settle.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bangkok clinics often bundle recovery services that international patients miss. For example, Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy and light therapy to speed up healing. Choosing a package with 7 to 14 hotel nights, like those at ID Clinic, is safer than booking a quick flight home.

Patient Consensus: Patients usually say that tightness and pressure are more noticeable than sharp pain. The first week feels draining, but many are surprised by how quickly they can move on their own by day 4.

Are there any risks with neck lift surgery in Bangkok?

Neck lift surgery in Bangkok is safe with board-certified plastic surgeons and JCI-accredited hospitals. Risks like hematoma, seroma, and nerve injury can occur, as with any major surgery. Success depends on choosing surgeons who use the SMAS technique in sterile, hospital-grade facilities.

  • Surgeon credentials: Seek surgeons with International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) or Royal College memberships.
  • Clinical setting: Accredited hospitals have lower complication rates than small clinic-style plastic surgery setups.
  • Recovery timeline: Expect intense swelling and dark bruising. They peak by day 3 and take about 14 days to fade.
  • Travel logistics: Flying too soon increases risk; most patients cannot travel for 7 days.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics may offer neck lifts, but the experience gap is significant. Surgeons like Dr Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul Md at ID Clinic Bangkok have performed over 20,000 procedures. Choosing a high-volume specialist often means lower risk. They're experienced in managing complications like skin irregularities before they become permanent.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the reality of recovery. The neck may feel very taut or burgundy-colored at first. Clear communication with the surgical team is essential. Some patients feel surgeons focus more on results than side effects.
