The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

I’m feeling better than expected this early on
My main worries before the procedure were the recovery process and the final look of the scars. My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.
Would recommend. Very professional. Excellent Doctor and staff. Very pleased.

the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable
My one-off operation went very well and the care provided by the surgeon and the staff was impeccable, apart from a few minor language issues. However, you should be prepared for a few additional costs that were not included in the original price: we had to pay for the transfers between the hotel and the clinic ourselves, and the wound care supplies were insufficient, which amounted to a mid-double-digit sum in total. My most important tip for future patients would be to make absolutely sure you clarify any dietary requirements (vegetarian/halal/...) with the clinic before you arrive.
The coordination team is very dedicated and always available. The staff are consistently very friendly and go out of their way to help. A very comprehensive package with extensive, thorough preliminary examinations and no hidden costs. A superbly equipped single room, including a sofa bed for an accompanying person.
Contrary to what was advertised, there was no interpreter. The nursing staff, in particular, did not always have a good enough command of English to explain everything clearly and in detail. The consultation with the surgeon was less detailed than expected. It wasn’t always entirely clear which services were included in the package and which weren’t (particularly transfers) – but there were no major hidden costs. Hospital food/light meals after operations are always a challenge, and perhaps even more so in a different cultural context – I wasn’t asked about any specific dietary preferences, so anyone who absolutely needs vegetarian, vegan, kosher or halal food should definitely clarify this in advance; in my opinion, the hospital bed was very hard, which is significantly more uncomfortable when you can’t move around much

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish
My biggest worry was whether I'd see a real difference after having Vaser on multiple areas, especially since they removed over four liters. It’s still early, but the swelling is much less now, and I can definitely see subtle changes taking shape. The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish. They are a solid team. The main challenge for me is just the compression garment making my skin itchy, but that's part of recovery. While the clinic facilities were generally fine, they weren't on the same level as the medical care itself. It's a process. Overall, I feel this was a worthwhile decision.
Almost 2 weeks post-lipo with Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic. The bruising is fading and my clothes are fitting so much better already. My abdomen feels tighter, waist more defined, and inner thighs no longer rubbing as much when I walk. So happy I took this step for myself.

The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come
The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come. Seeing that was a huge relief. The surgeon and staff provided great support, making me feel secure from the start. Recovery is no joke. It was a positive step when the catheter was removed, but managing the dilation sessions has been very challenging. My biggest concern is the swelling, and I'm focused on trusting the process. The care and the surgical foundation are solid, which is why I'm rating everything positively.
Everything was perfect. The staff were kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the whole process. The doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the excellent care I received.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for
My biggest concern going into this was ending up with a shape that looked strange or unnatural. It's a big decision. I'm still very early in my recovery, but I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for. The surgeon and I decided on Motiva implants. The clinic staff and my surgeon were consistently professional and clear in their communication. The most difficult part for me right now is the significant implant tightness across my chest; it's a persistent discomfort you should be prepared for. It's a process. But the surgical work and care were very good.
I had my surgery at this clinic and I’m honestly very happy with the whole experience. From the first consultation to aftercare, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. The team was incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. A special thank you to the nurse for being so caring, kind, and attentive — it really made a big difference during my recovery. The results have exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciate the effort and care from the entire team. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering surgery.

My biggest worry going into this was the quality of post-operative care, and that's where things fell short. While the surgeon's work was professional, the support from the clinic staff felt disorganized and was a source of stress during a vulnerable time. The clinic itself could also be improved. It’s a very mixed feeling. I can’t judge the aesthetic outcome yet because everything is still far too swollen to see clearly. On a positive note, getting the catheter removed was a definite relief and a good milestone. The medical part was handled, but the care aspect was lacking.
Language was a problem. Food was horrible, no attempt to take into account cultural differences. Had to wait over an hour for scheduled appointments. Minimal care by all. I would not recommend Wansiri Hospital to any of my friends. Staff would not reach out to my wife, when requested, to resolve problems.

FAQ about Radiofrequency calf reduction in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Are there any risks associated with Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction in Thailand?

Radiofrequency calf reduction in Thailand is a minimally invasive procedure. It has manageable risks when performed by experienced specialists. Potential complications include temporary numbness, minor bruising, and swelling. Rare risks include nerve injury, walking weakness, or asymmetry from uneven muscle ablation.

  • Clinical standards: Wansiri Hospital in Bangkok uses clean theatre rooms with air filtration.
  • Nerve injury risk: Precise targeting is required to avoid impacting nerves that control foot movement.
  • Functional changes: Improper technique can cause walking weakness or permanent changes to the natural gait.
  • Safety protocols: Accredited clinics use automated touchless features to reduce infection risks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Wansiri Hospital and STC Clinic facilitate over 3,500 patient visits annually. This high volume across multiple departments helps surgeons maintain sharp technical skills. Patients should choose centres with on-site specialist laboratories for high levels of safety and hygiene.

Patient Consensus: Patients find the experience in Thailand professional and straightforward. They suggest asking about telehealth follow-up for when they return home. Most recommend confirming the clinic provides medical reports in English to share with an Australian GP.

Is Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction in Thailand a permanent procedure?

Radiofrequency calf reduction in Thailand is a long-term contouring procedure. It is not always strictly permanent. The technique uses high-frequency currents to shrink muscle tissue through ablation. Results last much longer than Botox. However, muscles may partially redevelop over years if you start intense exercise.

  • Technique mechanism: High-frequency energy ablates gastrocnemius muscle tissue for controlled shrinking.
  • Longevity vs Botox: Offers semi-permanent results lasting years compared to 4–6 month injectable cycles.
  • Permanent alternatives: Surgical nerve blocking or muscle resection provides definitive, lifelong calf reduction.
  • Thai clinic standards: Bangkok facilities like Wansiri Hospital use clean-room standard theatres for these procedures.
  • Cost range: Procedure typically costs from $100 to $400 in Thailand.

Bookimed Expert Insight: RF is marketed as permanent. Real-world data shows it is most effective for muscle-based bulk. The Thailand price starts at $100. Compared to the A$9,000+ Australian average, many patients choose RF as a high-value entry point.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report excellent long-term reshaping. They suggest results vary based on exercise habits. Most recommend checking if calf bulk is muscular or fat-based before treatment starts.

How long is the expected recovery time for Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction in Thailand?

RF calf reduction in Thailand requires 2 to 3 weeks of initial downtime. Most patients return to light office work within 7 to 10 days. Total recovery typically takes 6 to 12 months. This includes the resolution of internal swelling and permanent muscle contouring.

  • Clinic stay: Stay in Bangkok for 10 to 14 days for specialist check-ups.
  • Initial week: Limit walking. Expect localised bruising, tenderness, and muscle tightness.
  • Activity levels: Gradually increase movement after 14 days. Avoid strenuous gym sessions for now.
  • Compression therapy: Wear medical-grade compression socks daily to reduce swelling and support healing.
  • Follow-up: Surgeons at hospitals like Wansiri Hospital provide postoperative reviews before departure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Functional mobility returns quickly. However, swelling often masks the final result for months. Clinics like Wansiri Hospital treat over 2,000 patients annually. They emphasise that early swelling is normal. Plan for 14 days in Thailand for a specialist review before flying home.

Patient Consensus: Expect the first few days to feel tender and awkward when walking. Many find they can move around quickly. However, the legs often remain puffy and sensitive for several weeks.

What is the difference between Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction and calf Botox for patients in Thailand?

Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction in Thailand is a minimally invasive procedure. It provides long-term muscle slimming through nerve ablation. Injection-based calf Botox offers a non-surgical, temporary alternative. RF targets motor nerves to trigger muscle atrophy. In contrast, Botox injections relax muscles to reduce bulk for 4–6 months.

  • Procedure method: RF uses thermal energy for nerve ablation. Botox uses toxin injections instead.
  • Result duration: Radiofrequency effects are long-lasting. Botox requires repeat treatments every 4–6 months.
  • Recovery needs: RF involves minor downtime and swelling. Botox allows immediate regular activity.
  • Cost comparison: RF starts from $100. Botox is generally the more affordable entry point.

Bookimed Expert Insight: RF reduction is often marketed as permanent, but results depend on technique. Clinics like Wansiri Hospital in Bangkok serve 2,000+ patients annually. These high-volume centres often provide more predictable contouring. Choosing a specialist with specific calf-shaping experience is critical.

Patient Consensus: Patients find Botox easier to predict for gradual slimming. Many appreciate RF for avoiding repeated trips to Thailand. Most recommend requesting specific before-and-after photos to ensure a natural look.

What does Radiofrequency (RF) calf reduction in Thailand involve?

Radiofrequency calf reduction in Thailand is a minimally invasive procedure. It uses heat energy to slim bulky lower legs. Specialists at Bangkok centres like Wansiri Hospital use radiofrequency probes to target and shrink specific calf muscle fibres. This causes the muscle to reduce over time without major surgery.

  • Procedure mechanism: Targeted radiofrequency energy causes muscle tissue to fibrose and reduce in volume.
  • Treatment access: Surgeons make small punctures behind the knee to reach the gastrocnemius muscle.
  • Surgical time: The session identifies specific nerves and muscle areas, lasting about 1–2 hours.
  • Auscise standards: Accredited hospitals like Wansiri use Clean Room theatre standards to minimise infections.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While costs for radiofrequency ablation start from $100, patients often combine this with lipolysis for total leg contouring. Wansiri Hospital serves 2,000+ patients annually and maintains a 30-doctor specialist team. This volume means surgeons have refined the precision needed to avoid muscle asymmetry during ablation.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand report that this treatment effectively targets naturally bulky muscles rather than excess fat. They recommend asking for specific before-and-after photos of muscular calves. They also suggest confirming telehealth support for the return trip to Australia.

What is the level of medicine in Thailand?

Healthcare is the key development sector of the Thai government. The Thai authorities are convinced that care for the citizens' health should be an absolute priority of state policy and spend about 25 billion baht for healthcare annually.

As a result, 36,673 medical facilities provide excellent medical care in the country. 64 centers in the Kingdom have certificate of JCI (Joint Commission International), the international improver of healthcare quality and safety across the globe. The index of certificates obtained is the largest. To compare, Israel has 20 JCI-accredited facilities, and Germany — only 10 clinics of this type.

What hotel service is provided here?

In the Kingdom of Thailand, hotels of different price ranges and service levels are presented. The level of Thai hotels is comparable to hotels in Tunisia, Morocco or Egypt. Most tourists choose 4 and 5 star hotels with all-inclusive meals. Such hotels have everything for a comfortable stay: varied food, a large well-groomed territory, animation for children and adults. Some hotels have their own water park, which guests can use for free. Budget travelers can afford to book an economical 3-star hotel with half board or no meals at all.

When is the best time to travel to Thailand?

The main advantage of Thai resorts is the long beach season. On the east coast and west coast the climate features are different, so take it into account when planning the trip. The best time to travel is during the cool and dry season between November and early April. A large influx of tourists is in March-May, when the air temperature is +30°C.

Do I need a visa?

For now, the Kingdom of Thailand requires different visa regimens for diverse states. Some foreigners can stay in the country 60 days without visa control, some of them — only 14 days.

How long you can stay in Thailand and what countries can cross the border easy read here.

What documents are required to apply for a visa to Thailand for treatment?

Visas for travel to Thailand require a number of documents. The necessary papers can be submitted 90 days before the planned departure. The list of documents includes:

  • ID card
  • confirmation of online registration and filling out the questionnaire
  • certificate of income and availability of funds (20,000 baht per person/40,000 baht per family)
  • insurance policy for a stay in Thailand (original and copy)
  • 2 photos (4x6)
  • visa receipt
  • booking of round-trip air ticket (paid in full) and hotel
  • medical opinion about the need for treatment.
