How Much Does Kidney transplant Cost in Ankara?

Kidney transplant in Ankara typically costs from $17,000 to $28,000. Total pricing depends on the choice of hospital tier, the surgeon's experience, and the duration of stay required for the donor and recipient. Patients save around 93% compared to the US, where this procedure costs $400,000 on average. Standard packages in Ankara generally include donor screening, the transplant surgery, and multi-day hospital stays for both parties.

  • Hospital stays: Usually covers five to seven days for the recipient and three for the donor.
  • Clinical evaluations: Includes mandatory pre-operative laboratory tests, radiological examinations, and specialist consultations for both patients.
  • Anesthesia and care: Covers the operating room fees, anesthesia, and necessary post-operative inpatient medical care.
  • Logistical support: Many packages add free airport transfers and language assistance for international patients.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Ankara serves as Turkey's academic center for complex organ transplants. The city’s university-affiliated centers, like Lokman Hekim University Hospital, offer institutional expertise often at a lower entry price than Istanbul’s luxury private clinics. For example, surgeons like Prof. Mustafa Ozsoy lead specialized transplant units with significant volume. Choosing a JCI-accredited facility in Ankara ensures high clinical standards while maintaining the city's inherent cost advantage for long-term recovery stays.

-just the lack of english in a few nurses
About Bookimed service
Their response was very fast and to the point. I didnt even know where to begin but bookimed listened to what i needed and layed out the options for me right away. Once i chose the option, they developed the plan and executed much faster than I thought even possible. In less than two weeks, I was off to my chosen hospital to receive treatment.

The team was very professional and understanding
So far we only had an initial consultation. Even though we haven’t received the answers we hoped for, we can only say good things about the team participating in the consultation. The team was very professional and understanding. They listened to our questions and patiently answered them all.
