If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator. The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

The entire process has been so positive
The entire process has been so positive. I had a tummy tuck, breast procedure, and liposuction on two areas. The clinic staff has been great about staying in touch and are always easy to reach, which is reassuring. There were no surprise costs; the only extra was for optional lymph massages, which was explained from the beginning. My advice is to really research the recovery period. Make sure you bring larger clothes than you think you’ll need and be prepared for drains.
Fantastic results, Dr. Ali Sadioglu very thorough, coordinators easy to contact at any hour, always someone present who can speak English, great nursing care, hotel was nice and clean, food was good, everything was arranged for me, very smooth process. I had my own English speaking nurse on my first night post op.

If you're considering a mommy makeover, my biggest piece of advice would be to find a team you feel completely comfortable with. That’s what I found here. The surgeon and staff were excellent throughout my tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and liposuction journey. I'm still in the early stages of recovery, and while standing up straight is a real challenge, my tummy tuck incision is already healing very cleanly. Things are going well. The support from everyone at the clinic has been consistent and reassuring, which has made all the difference in this process.
The whole experience was seamless. The doctors, nurses and interpreter made the process so simple for me.
The food at the hospital wasn’t great. I had said I was vegetarian but there was meat in pretty much all meals.

Admittedly, when I booked the surgery, I was a little sceptical that everything would go well. After all, everything was done online. However, I was very impressed with how good and friendly the constant communication was. I was already feeling increasingly confident here. I also received very good, uninterrupted and professional treatment and care on site. My doctor Dr Burak and my contact person Olivia were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The transfers - to/from the airport or to follow up appointments at the clinic - were very good and reliable. The contact persons at Bookimed also contacted me regularly and enquired about my well-being. I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and am pleased to be recovering quickly and well. Dr Burak continues to monitor me now and I feel I am being very well looked after. His instructions are clear and very helpful. The doctor didn’t listen to my request/wishes for surgery and still did his own thing. My result came out horribly. Except the breast lift part was done very well. And after all the pain it wasn’t worth going. The nurses stayed on their phones all day. At times I was left for hours without assistance. I had to google translate for them to put on gloves. Yet they still would not listen to me before they placed my IV or handled blood without gloves. If you don’t speak Turkish it’s not worth it!

I was recommended Dr Med by Bookimed, a very good, trustworthy medical platform. My accordinator could not speak highly enough of Dr and the team, and she was right. From start to finish I received the best medical and supportive care. Muhlise who was there for me to talk to 24 hours a day is one of the loveliest people I have ever come across, answering all my questions, concerns and organising everything for me. They checked my bloods and did a full health check to check that I was well enough to have all the procedures. The nurses were so lovely and there every second to look after me and make sure I had a good, quick recovery. Within 3 days I felt as if I hadn't even had an operation. I had no discomfort, no pain, was able to see a bit of Istanbul which was lovely. I was put in such a lovely hotel and luxuary transfer to and from all my appointments and airports. They continued to check in and support me even after I returned home, which I really appreciated. Dr. Mustafa Aydinol was excellent – attentive, diligent, and thorough in explaining everything clearly. The hospital and staff were all lovely, making me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout my stay. Although I am happy with the outcome, I am still sore and bruised, but I will be more than happy to share photos at a later date.
What I liked most was the constant communication and support from start to finish, and the excellent care from Dr. Mustafa Aydinol and the hospital staff.
What I disliked the most was the discomfort and bruising during recovery, although I understand this is part of the healing process

I am very happy with my surgery. I received VIP treatment and a lot of attention from the general medical team, the nursing staff and the translators, and the hotel is wonderful. Everyone works with a smile and is very professional.
I liked it in general but I liked it because my companion and I had the same VIP treatment, and also when I arrived at the airport everything was ready for my arrival with a limousine and translator in my language! ❤️

From the very first message with Bookimed, I felt safe and secure with my choice of clinic for my cosmetic procedures. The price was very reasonable and the clinic was very accomodating with my request to install payment plan and let me book the procedures months in advance. The communications between myself, the Bookimed team and the clinic were always smooth and frequent. The never pushed their own agenda with my procedures and were very honest in their recommendations. When I had my appointment with the doctor, he recommended one less procedure and I was allowed to put the extra money towards my post care lymphatic massages. The team at the DR.MED Clinic were amazing, they took really good care of me from when I landed in Istanbul until when I flew out. They organised all of my transportation, appointments and aftercare. The team at the modus hotel were also superstars, no ask was too big or small, going above and beyond in service with no hidden charges. I would highly recommend the Bookimed service and the Dr. Med clinic for all your cosmetic needs

She has been so kind and I could not have done this without her
I came to see the clinic after having two children looking to gain my confidence back. Starting from the time I initially contacted them they have been very responsive and timely in answering all of my questions. I was able to video chat with the doctor who answered all of my questions in advance. Upon arrival in the country we were greeted by the kind transportation team and taken to a hotel nice and close to the clinic. The next morning I was greeted by Muhlise and taken to the clinic for all testing and document singing before surgery. She is always there to answer questions, help you with anything you need (before and after surgery). She has been so kind and I could not have done this without her. A few days after surgery I was able to see the results and am so happy with them now but know the best is to come in the following weeks as swelling comes down. Thank you to the dr med team!! You have all been great. A special thank you to all of the nurses as well that help take care of me💕

you couldn’t ask for better people, to answer every question you ask even if it is over and over
I’m on government money to live my daily life, I’ve wanted this operation for 38years since one of my pregnancies made my belly swell to the point of my skin being see through. I got down to being a good weight, as with all my children,, I had this Awful amount of hanging skin just there on my body, I would look at it and call myself names, I would look down and see a bulge that I hated, even through my clothes. I finally sold my car and thank God in heaven. My bank gave me a loan that gave me approximately £10,000 on the dot and could not go over that… At bookimed they actually listened to everything I had to say my budget limit, what I wanted, what I wanted to look like,, don’t get me wrong I don’t mind getting old part of life. They made all the arrangements Dr , CLINIC, consultations, transfers, they were there at every corner at every question that I asked over and over again, you name it they listened, and I could not recommend a more perfect company to go through. If you have any doubts. I done a lot of searching months and months and months of searching as with these online drs. You never know if you’re getting a good one, If the reviews are real, if the final cost is going to be exactly what you expected. I am as real as they get just an ordinary person live in a government funded life, I do not have a daddy who is rolling in cash. I do not have a mummy who would give me everything I asked I do not have a single penny so take it from me the place to start would be right here, you couldn’t ask for better people, to answer every question you ask even if it is over and over

Everything about the experience was wonderful, including the treatment co-ordinators, the drivers, hospital facilities and the Dr’s
We didn’t like that there was some definite misinformation regarding my Mom’s stem cell therapy and that we were going to see different doctors and having to pay consult fees and spend hours stuck in traffic going to different hospitals to finally get what we had originally signed up for. Thank goodness the one treatment coordinator gave us a discount based on our negative situation.
